I'm excited for Ari and Chandler. Carly's storyline was just kind of silly and overblown, IMO. But Crystal did act a lot (read: cry, shake, act like a druggie). Matt's stuff was good, but there wasn't a whole lot of it. Or maybe I just don't remember a lot of it. But if Chandler doesn't walk away with that little gold statue, it's only because the Academy (or whoever) hates Days. Not GAYS, Days. Geez people.

Agreed MrsM!I get why he didn't win last year.He was pretty much Sami's sounding board and that was it,BUT this year,he really got material he can sink his teeth into and he's done a fabulous job!I think Will's story is one of the best,if not THE best story the new writers have given us.

I'm with you on this one DD. Didnt' care for Crystal's storyline or her portrayal but she did an ok job.
Don't remember much about Matt's stuff other than the triangle with Jennifer and Daniel.
Excited for Ari's pre-nom but Chandler better be the one who has this hands down. if not, then someone needs to have thier eyes & ears checked. This kid has killed his scenes the 8 months or so.
As far as younger actress - Kate & Molly are the only ones that I can see with pre-nom. Only thing I remember about Shelley is helping her grandma keep the paternity secret and the whining & crying she did and can't think of a thing for Camila.

Does anyone know the time period for the nominated episodes? That could make a huge difference for the storylines of these actors and actresses. I hope we get multiple nominees from this list!

That's for Primetime Emmys, right? Is the timeline the same for Daytime Emmys?

That was easier than I though......
This is taken directly from the Daytime Emmy Awards Rule 'Book'
• Programs – Series and Specials (depending on the category), and their related craft achievements must have originally aired or been made available for viewing, downloading or streaming by more than 50% of the US national market between the dates of January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011 within the hours of 2:00am and 6:00pm.

Jay should have been nominated. They never wanted to recognize Jay's talent and they wonder why he left daytime and won't return........doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.......so glad I don't watch Days anymore

Shelley better get nominated for the reveal scenes with Mark Hapka. She was outstanding in those scenes.

I can't believe that James Scott and Allison Sweeney did NOT get pre-nominated.
