(Abby is walking down the square and sees Austin and Kate)
AUSTIN - Abby
(Abby walks over with her cardigan wrapped around her)
ABBY - Hey Austin, Kate
KATE - Hey Abigail
ABBY - How are you Kate?
KATE - I'm ok but you don't look too well
AUSTIN - She's right
ABBY - I'm fine just hate JJ
AUSTIN - He had another word with you
KATE - I will leave you to it. Abigail let me know if you need anything
(Abby sits down in Kate's place)
AUSTIN - What's wrong?
ABBY - When we fought JJ said he and Mom can support me and I said there's more to it
AUSTIN - Did you tell them?
ABBY - No Austin, I am not ready for that. I can't!!
AUSTIN - It's ok. Take the time you need you are still coming to terms with this yourself
ABBY - Thank you

I love Austin is the only one really besides Kayla who knows about the pregnancy. It really makes for an interesting dynamic. Please update again soon. I am liking this so much!!

(Jennifer and JJ sitting in the lounge room and Abigail and Austin come in)
AUSTIN - Hey Jen
JENNIFER - Hey. How are you?
AUSTIN - I'm ok. Did Abigail tell you about Lucas going out of town?
ABIGAIL - No I didn't actually
JENNIFER - Is he ok?
AUSTIN - He is. Allie isn't
JENNIFER - Austin you haven't met my son JJ
(JJ stands up)
AUSTIN - I have heard things about you and you're so much like your Father
JJ - You're the guy my sister is supposedly only friends with even though I know what she's like
JENNIFER - JJ that's enough
AUSTIN - It's ok and Abby has told me what you have being saying and we are friends and there's nothing more to it than that you need to stop giving her such a hard time JJ she doesn't need that from you. She has enough going on.
JJ - Yeah because you know everything about her
AUSTIN - Yeah because we are friends
JJ - That's crap and we both know it
AUSTIN - No it isn't
(Jennifer and Abigail look pissed)
ABBY - We are just friends JJ
(JJ storms off)

Oh JJ, cut your sister a break, man. I hope he comes around soon to see Austin & Abby aren't bad guys. Abby is in a very tough spot and Austin is trying to be a good friend to her. I love this fic so much. It's character-driven and I appreciate an author who can tackle a character's emotions as well as plot twists. Good job!

He really does need to give Abby a break you aren't wrong. Hopefully JJ will see that Austin and Abby aren't the bad guys and he is just supporting her. That means a lot as I was trying to make the story character driven more so than plot driven and I am glad that you think I am tackling the emotions of the characters well as this is something I am trying to do and improve on in all my stories. Thank you again for the feedback and reading. |

JENNIFER - Morning sickness? You're pregnant?
ABBY - Yeah you're gonna be Nanny Jen
AUSTIN - Or Granny Jen
JENNIFER - Nah Nanny Jen
ABBY - Nanny Jen it is
JENNIFER - You knew Austin?
ABBY - He found out the night I did
JENNIFER - You don't have to justify yourself to me. Thank you Austin for supporting Abby
AUSTIN - Of course despite everything I still care about her
ABBY - And that means the world to me
JENNIFER - Thank you for looking out for her it means a lot
