Hey, fellow writers. Since we have been talking about our craft a lot lately, I am curious to know if any of you have any best/favorite storylines or scenes you've written. One of my favorites is a storyline I am currently working on that involves a couple who fell in love during their teenage years finding their way back to each other in their adult years after discovering that their breakup was largely orchestrated by the manipulations of the girl's father. One of my favorite scenes from this storyline so far is the one in which the couple accidentally meet again for the first time in ten years. I am also enjoying working on another storyline that involves a woman and her mother's boyfriend investigating the past because they suspect that he might actually be her biological father. I feel one of my best scenes from this storyline is the one in which the woman's mother reveals that the woman was supposed to have a twin sister who she miscarried.

For me, it’s hard to pinpoint my favorite scene, as I like many of them. I think it’s a tie between three, all of which are from my ongoing story The Melaswen Paradox: 1. Sami and Lucas’ wedding. I love them as a couple, and it was so much fun writing a wedding for them! 2. Claire and Chase’s wedding. I’d built them up as a couple for the better part of five years, and this was the culmination of that. It was the chapter I was most excited to write when the time fibally came. 3. The Horton Family Reunion. An idea I had to incorporate more Hortons into my story. I’d started a few years earlier by bringing back Tommy, and was progressively more over the next few years. Then, one Christmas, I brought Bill and Marie back, and had Bill bring up the idea of a reunion. During the reunion, I tried to bring back as many Hortons as possible, as well as introduce some new Horton descendants, some of whom are still part of my story today.

I have several favorite scenes. In my fanfiction Breaking Ties, my favorite storylines are: 1. When JJ got his Certificate of Good Conduct. The speech he made represented the sum of everything he had learned in the story so far about allowing his family to support him and I could easily have ended the story there if I wanted. 2. Paige being falsely accused of murder, arrested, and ending up in jail waiting trial was one of my most emotional and favorite stories to write. I especially love her post-arrest interrogation scene that André DiMera narrated for the 10th MH anniversary podcast. 3. Chase finding out that he was the one who killed his mom. There are many others but those are some of the top ones. I also love almost everything I've written in Reinventing Hannah but one of my favorite scenes was toward the end (the one at the bowling alley where Hannah confronted Sierra and Jake, for those who have read it.) I also had a really good time writing Brad and Hannah's first date at the mall. And I have some scenes in Heart Failure, my upcoming novel, that I totally love but can't share much about yet. The scene I mentioned in the other thread in which Gillian confesses to Kyle that she cheated on him is one of my favorites so far, as is a scene where Gillian and Kyle meet a PI that their lawyer has referred them to to help with a situation.

Oh gosh, @ booksoapwriter81 you asked a really tough question whether you know it or not. I have so many favorites. Here's a few. 1. Happily Ever After - the opening scene where Chloe and Nicole meet for drinks during a layover in Atlanta and Chloe tells Nicole her marriage to Philip is over. 2. Destiny's Child - Opening scene after Philip learned he's not Parker's father. 3. Once Upon a Time - The at-home date after Philip and Chloe were attempting to reconcile, Chapter 43a, Chapter 43b, Chapter 44a, Chapter 44b and Chapter 44c. Please enjoy.

My favorite full-length novel that I've written is Sweet Seasons, a poignant wartime romance.
