Chapter 9

PHILIP & MELANIE'S APARTMENT
It was the same day, but it is now nighttime. There was a knock on the door. Philip opened it to reveal Chloe and Parker standing there.
PHILIP: Hey, bud. How's it goin'?
Philip and Parker hugged.
PARKER: Hey, Dad. I'm good. Hey, Mel.
MELANIE: Hi, Parker.
Nicholas walked down the stairs. He noticed Chloe and Parker.
MELANIE: Oh, Parker, Chloe, I want you guys to meet someone. This is Nicholas, my half-brother. Nikki, these two are Parker Kiriakis and...
NICHOLAS: Chloe Lane. We've met.
CHLOE: Yeah, we have.
MELANIE: Oh, cool. That's great.
CHLOE: Yeah. Um...Nicholas, could we talk outside for a moment?
NICHOLAS: Certainly.
Chloe walked into the hallway. Nicholas followed.

HALLWAY
NICHOLAS: You look great. How are you?
CHLOE: I'm fine. You look pretty good yourself.
NICHOLAS: Thanks. Where are you living nowadays?
CHLOE: Chicago. I live with my husband, Daniel.
NICHOLAS: Daniel Jonas? The miracle doctor? The one who wrote that book “How to Grope Your Patients Without Them Knowing It”?
CHLOE: Huh?
NICHOLAS: Nothing.
CHLOE: Anyway, yeah. Daniel's a doctor.
NICHOLAS: That's great.
CHLOE: What about you? Have you met anyone?
NICHOLAS: There were a few hopefuls. The twins' mother was one of them. But, things never really worked out.
CHLOE: I'm sorry.
NICHOLAS: Oh, it's no problem. You know me, I'll just keep on looking. Unless, of course...
CHLOE: Unless what?
NICHOLAS: Unless you'll have me back.

PARKER'S BEDROOM
Parker was unpacking. Both Ceri and Rhiannon were helping him. The three had been talking a lot, and were soon friends.
CERI: So, one question: how come some of your luggage says “Parker Kiriakis” and some says “Parker Jonas”?
PARKER: Oh, those are my two names.
The twins looked confused.
RHIANNON: Two names?
PARKER: Yeah. When I was born, my mother didn't know whether my dad was Philip Kiriakis or Daniel Jonas. She had a couple of different DNA tests done, but they kept alternating between those two. After a while, my mom decided “screw it” and I ended up having two last names and two dads. My last name's Kiriakis when I stay with my dad, Philip. And, my last name's Jonas when I stay with my other dad, Daniel.

Poor Parker. I guess Chloe doesn't trust any DNA's tests anymore. I like this Chloe and Nicholas revelation. Great story Andre. I'm really enjoying it.

So Nicholas had a romance with both Philip's mother and one of his exes. Coincidence? I think not.

Chapter 9b

HALLWAY
CHLOE: Take you back?
NICHOLAS: Yes.
CHLOE: I...I couldn't.
NICHOLAS: Why not? It's not as though anything's different about us. I'm still me, you're still you. Nothing's changed, Chloe.
CHLOE: Everything has changed, Nikki. When we first met, I was in a dying marriage and you were my shoulder to cry on. But, now I have a career that's better than ever. I have a husband who loves me.
NICHOLAS: I'm sorry, Chloe, but Daniel doesn't love anyone, he lusts them. He's not in love with you. He's in lust with you.
CHLOE: Shut up! You don't even know him!
NICHOLAS: I'm sorry. That was rude of me.
CHLOE: Anyway, we both have children. We can't go back.
NICHOLAS: Chloe, please, give us one more chance.
CHLOE: I...
NICHOLAS: Listen, just hear me out, okay? We go on one date. One last date. And, at the end of that date, if you can honestly tell me that you feel none of what used to be there between us, I will walk away and never bring us up again.
Chloe thought for a moment.
CHLOE: Okay. That sounds good. After all, what's the harm in one last date.

Uh Oh,,, I get the feeling that this one night could be veddy interesting.
So funny actually seeing Parker talk... so used to him only speaking figuratively ( kpatch)....funny how they never found out who his true dad is... sounds like the old Tv show "My Two Dads"

Chapter 10

PENTHOUSE
It was a few days later. Allie and Sydney walked up to the Penthouse.
SYDNEY: Allie, why are we at Grandma Marlena's house?
ALLIE: Because, I think you need to talk to. Someone who can give you some professional help.
SYDNEY: I'll repeat the question: why are we at Grandma Marlena's house?
ALLIE: I want you to talk to somebody. I'm getting worried about you.
SYDNEY: Allie, I've told you, you don't need to worry about me!
Allie knocked on the door. A moment later, the door opened to reveal Marlena.
MARLENA: Allie, Sydney, come on in.
The two girls hugged Marlena. All three of them sat down.
MARLENA: So, what brings you two over here?
SYDNEY: Allie seems to be worried about me for some reason.
MARLENA: I see. And, why is that, Allie?
ALLIE: Because, Sydney hasn't been acting like herself. She's been spacing out, having weird blackouts, and...peculiar scars have been showing up on her forearm.
MARLENA: Sydney, is this true?
Sydney rubbed the back of her neck.
SYDNEY: Um...
Marlena sensed that Sydney was uncomfortable.
MARLENA: Allie, Grandpa John should be out in the back. Why don't you go see him for a little bit?
ALLIE: Okay, Grandma.
Allie got up and left. Marlena sat down next to Sydney and put her arm around her.
MARLENA: Sydney, I want you to know that, no matter what you tell me, I will always love you unconditionally. You can tell me anything.
SYDNEY (whispering): I know.
MARLENA: And, I only want what's best for you. You know that, right?
Sydney nodded.
MARLENA: Good. So, was any of what Allie said true?
Sydney nodded again.
MARLENA: Do you think Allie has a reason to worry about you?
SYDNEY (whispering): Kind of.
Sydney was starting to shiver. This surprised Marlena, as it wasn't cold at all in the Penthouse. In fact, it was warmer than usual.
MARLENA: Are you okay?
Sydney started rubbing her neck.
SYDNEY: I don't know. I don't think so.
Sydney stood up.
MARLENA: What is it, sweetheart? What's wrong?
SYDNEY: I...
Sydney shook her head. She stopped rubbing her neck, and put both hands on her forehead.
SYDNEY: I...
Marlena stood up and walked over to Sydney. She put her hand on Sydney's shoulder. Sydney's eyes got darker. She turned around and slapped Marlena's hand off of her shoulder.
SYDNEY (deep voice): Shut up! Shut the hell up!

Yikes. Sydney is in deeper trouble than I thought. I'm having flashbacks.

Sounds like maybe Sydney has been possessed! Marlene should be able to relate to that!! Either that or she has developed split personalities, which is common with everything she has gone through!!
