Casting!

As this story is set approximately 15 years into the future, all of the current (as of January 2012) children on Days are now either in their teens or early twenties. Here are some people that I have picked to portray them, so that you can have a picture in your head of what they now look like.

Claire is played by Shailene Woodley


Ciara is played by Charlie Ray


J.J. is played by Logan Lerman


Johnny and Allie are played by Cameron Bright and Debby Ryan, respectively


Joey is played by Jake T. Austin


Sydney is played by Liana Liberato (who is reprising her role from my adaptation of "A Christmas Carol". Only this time, she has a much larger role as Sydney)


Parker will be played by Liam James


Also, two new characters will be introduced:
Ceridwen {Ceri for short [full name promounced care-ed-win (nickname pronounced care-e)]} and Rhiannon (Rhian for short) are two new characters who will be played by British identical twin actresses Camilla and Rebecca Rosso. Ceri and Rhian are identical twins from Wales who have ties to Melanie in some way.

(NOTE: I realize that, technically, this is still January 31st. However, I felt that it was close enough to being February 1st and I didn't want to wait any longer. Enjoy!)

This story is set nearly 14 years into the future. Not much has changed around Salem. In fact, one of the few things that have changed is the set of teens in Salem. Claire, Ciara, Jack Jr., Joe, Johnny, Allie, Sydney, and Parker are all teenagers now. Also, all of them are in Salem. I hope that you will enjoy “Summer Breeze”.

Chapter 1

PHILIP & MELANIE'S APARTMENT
In the fourteen years since last we saw them, Philip and Melanie have gotten back together and had bought an apartment in Salem. Philip and Melanie were having dinner one evening.
MELANIE: So, you'll never guess who I talked to today.
PHILIP: Who?
MELANIE: Nikki.
PHILIP: Nicole? What would you and she have to talk about?
MELANIE: No, not that Nikki. My half-brother, Nicholas.
PHILIP: Oh, him. What did he want?
MELANIE: Well, he just wanted to catch up with me, see how I was doing. And, he wanted to tell me that he and his two daughters are coming to Salem.

SALEM PLACE
Jack Jr. (referred to in the script from this point forward as J.J.) and Joe were walking around Salem Place. The two stopped when they noticed to young women sitting at a table outside the Java Cafe.
JOE: Whoa! Nice!
J.J.: Okay, now this is what I'm talkin' about. Joseph, get ready. Stand back and watch the master at work.
J.J. walked up to the two girls.
J.J.: Hello, ladies.
He then realizes that the two girls are his cousins: Ciara and Claire.
CIARA: Hey, J.J.
J.J.: Oh, hi. It's you guys.
CLAIRE: Yeah. Who were you expecting?
J.J.: I dunno. Just some random girls.
CIARA: Let me guess, you and Joe are trying to find girls again?
J.J.: Well...yeah.
CIARA: We've been through this before, Jack. We're cousins. It just wouldn't be right.
J.J.: But, what about Max and Chelsea? I mean, they're niece and nephew, and they're married.
CIARA: Yes, but I'm not Chelsea and you're not Max. Besides, as I've told you, I already have a boyfriend.
J.J.: Of course, Theo. Well, look at the time. I should be going. See ya later.
J.J. walks back over to where Joe was standing.
JOE: Smooth.
J.J.: I totally knew it was them.
JOE: Sure you did.
J.J.: Shut up.
