WHOLE FOODS STORE, SALEM
Chloe is pushing a shopping cart through the Produce Department. Wesley is in the baby seat of the cart. Chloe reaches for a tomato at the same time as another shopper. She looks at the woman and sees it’s Sami.
Chloe: Sami. What are you doing here?
Sami: Duh. I’m shopping.
Chloe: I figured you’d be more likely to shop at Piggly Wiggly than Whole Foods.
Sami: Will is on this organic foods kick lately. Organic foods are way more expensive and Whole Foods has the best prices.
Chloe: And the freshest foods.
Sami: Aw, your little boy is adorable. Are you sure he’s yours?
Chloe: Very funny.
Sami: Mind if I pick him up?
Chloe: Um.
Sami: Don’t worry. I have a lot of experience with babies.
Chloe: That’s an understatement.
Sami picks Wesley up.
Sami: You are such a good-looking little boy. You obviously take after your father’s side of the family.
Chloe rolls her eyes.
Sami: How old is he now?
Chloe: Eleven months. He’ll be a year old in two weeks.
Sami: Amazing how time flies. Enjoy it now Chloe. He’s gonna grow up fast.
Chloe: Um, Sami, we’re having a birthday party two weeks from Saturday. Do you ... want to come? You and the kids?
Sami: Are you serious?
Chloe: Yes. After all, our children are cousins. It would be nice for them to get to know each other. Don’t you think?
Sami: Are Victor and Kate going to be there?
Chloe: Unfortunately, yes.
Sami: I can’t pass up a chance to trade insults with Kate. Sure, we’d love to come.
KIRIAKIS MANSION
Kate: Have you seen our grandson lately?
Victor: No. Philip says it’s a package deal. If we want to see Parker, we have to endure seeing Chloe. And be nice to her.
Kate: Philip never used to be so unreasonable. I wonder what’s gotten into him lately.
Victor: Chloe has. He thinks he’s in love with her.
Kate: Oh Philip is always falling in love with someone.
Victor: Kate, are you losing your touch? Your last plot didn’t work.
Kate: Chloe is like a roach. You can poison her, drive her mad, and make her attempt suicide, and she keeps springing back.
Victor: You truly are useless, Kate.
TITAN JET
Joe the Pilot [on the intercom from the cockpit]: We’ve been cleared for landing, Mr. Kiriakis. We’re making our final approach into Salem Airport. Time to turn off your electronic devices.
Philip: Thanks Joe.
Philip finishes an email he was writing to Chloe, he hits “send” and powers down his iPad.
Joe: We’ll be on the ground in less than a half hour.
Philip: Finally! I can’t wait to get home.

Love the plug for Whole Foods and I totally agree. Love that Sami wanted to go to the party when she found out Kate was going - I knew those two secretly enjoy each other's company. They are too much alike not to.

Oh no. I am still having a very bad feeling about this landing. Oh Joe please land safe. So sweet that Philip sent Chloe an email just before landing. (Only thing is it makes me remember of all the Emails and cell calls that where sent just before Flight 93 went down and it makes my heart feel like it is in my stomach) Hold Kpatch is the one in control. This is Philip. I am now thinking he will be ok. So glad it is not a friday. Thanks for the chapter Kpatch.

Kate: The baby’s name, remember? You keep calling him Parker, but they changed it to Wesley, Chloe’s parents’ last name. And don’t you dare think I’ve lost my touch. I haven’t given up. Not by a longshot.
Victor: Well, we’ll have a good chance to assess the situation at the baby’s birthday party.
SALEM AIRPORT
Philip is walking toward the airport parking garage and he’s on his cell phone.
Philip: Hi sweetie.
Chloe: Philip! Where are you?
Philip: The plane just landed. We were held up because of bad weather, but I’m back in Salem and I’m walking to my car now. How’s my big guy?
Chloe: He’s wonderful. He missed you.
Philip: Not as much as I missed him. And you.
Chloe: You have no idea how much I missed you. I’m going to show you just how much when you get home.
Philip: Oh?
Chloe: I have something extra special planned.
Philip [laughing]: Oh man. You’re killing me!
Chloe: Hurry home.
Philip: I will. I love you.
Chloe: I love you more.
Philip: I seriously doubt that.
Chloe hangs up the phone. She is dressed in a teddy with a sheer robe over it. She lights some votive candles and lightly spritzes Philip’s favorite perfume on the sheets, in the air and on the drapery. She quickly checks on her sleeping baby boy, then gets into bed to wait for her husband’s homecoming.
