As much as I don't want to get my hopes up, I really really hope so. ;D I love Lucas and think he needs to be there.
It also makes me scared of what the heck they may have in store for his character. LOL

Between Will coming out and Sami's latest indiscretion with EJ (trying to be tactful...), I think Lucas will come back to save the day. Sami's reasoning as to why it happened will be that Lucas is her one, true love so she felt no reason to be truly committed to Rafe (not that I'd agree with that reasoning, but Sami's mind works in mysterious ways). ;-)

Lucas would be there to pick up the pieces when Sami's world falls apart and to help Will deal with his anger toward his mother, as well as coming out.

I don't see any reason at all to pair Lucas up in a relationship for a while. Can't he just come back and be there for his son as he goes through the life-taking adjustment that coming out is going to take?
While I would LOVE to see him put Sami in her place and call her out (she's long over due in my book) I'm not ready to see him jump back into a relationship with her. I love how Sami & Rafe's relationship unfolded slowly, the same with Victor & Maggie. If they do put him in a relationship, I want the slow build-up.

There are a variety of stories that Lucas could be a part of that aren't romances...Will coming out, Sami's mess and how it involves his kids, the mysteries about Alice, he could work at Countess W with Kate. There are so many possibilities. Hopefully he'll end up shirtless in some way.
