Chloe knew full well when she agreed to meet him that she would have the kids. She did this deliberately so she wouldn't have to risk meeting with him alone and having him call her out again. She said it herself that her parents had a "standing date".

Chapter 4b
Philip set his phone on the table and said quietly, “What are you hiding from, Chloe?”
“Mommy’s not hiding,” Parker giggled. “She’s right here.”
“Parker’s right, I’m not hiding.”
Talking into his cup, he lifted only his eyes and mumbled, “Aren’t you? Then why didn’t you want to sit by the window?”
Chloe set her phone on the table and angrily flipped open a menu. “Let’s order.” Looking up, she called to a waiter. “Excuse me, we’re ready to order.” When the waiter came to the table, she said, “Parker, I’m ordering you the egg and cheese sandwich on a whole wheat roll. And I’ll have a spinach omelet.” She closed the menu and looked at Philip. “What do you want?”
He cocked his head. “I’ll have a short stack with a side of link sausage.”
When the waiter left, Philip smiled at the family across the table. “How do you like living in New York, Parker?”
“It’s awesome. Did you know they have skating all year long at Feller Center?”
“I didn’t know that. I thought it was only in the winter.”
“Actually, it’s not open year-round angel, so enjoy it while it lasts.” Chloe looked at Philip. “He’s been there twice so far.”
“Do you still live in Salem, Uncle Phil?” Parker asked.
“That’s an excellent question, angel,” Chloe said. “I’d like to know the answer too. Where do you live, Philip?”
He leaned back in his seat. “South of here,” was all he said.
“Now who’s being secretive?” she said. “What? Do you have a wife you don’t want anyone to know about?”
The waiter brought their food. “Ah. Saved by the waiter,” Philip said with a smile as he put a napkin on his lap. “Do you guys have plans for the day,” Philip asked.
“Mommy’s taking me over to my friend Kenzi’s house.”
“Is Kenzi a boy or a girl?” Philip asked.
“A girl,” Parker said as he picked up his sandwich, “and before you ask, she’s not my type.”
Philip chuckled. “Give her a chance, Parker. Sometimes people you didn’t think were going to be your type at first turn out to be—” His words trailed off.
“Turn out to be what?” Parker asked.
Finishing Philip’s thought, Chloe looked across the table and quietly said, “The best thing that ever happened to you.”
Philip felt his face grow warm. Chloe was someone who could be an ice princess one minute, then with just a few words, she could melt your heart. For the first time, he was glad he made the trip.
Parker shrugged. “Whatever.” He took a bite of his sandwich.
“We don’t say ‘whatever,’ Parker,” Chloe reminded him. “Remember?”
“I thought that was just around Grandma.”
“No, it’s not just because Grandma doesn’t like you saying that. And we also don’t talk with our mouth full.”
Parker rolled his eyes. “So many rules.”
Philip smiled as he watched the charming scene across the table from him. A phone buzzed. “I think that’s yours,” he said.
“I thought it was yours,” Chloe replied.
He reached for her phone and picked it up. “No, it’s yours.” His brow knit as he read the message on the home screen. “Don’t come home?”

Reading Chloe's text messages was out of line. If it's not your phone, don't answer it. Though now I'm curious as to what the message means.
Parker is so adorable.

So Nancy knows & is helping Chloe hide. I thought she wanted Philip to talk some sense into Chloe. Now I'm thinking she hopes Chloe hide Holly.

Parker is so dang cute!
I was really hoping that Nancy was pushing Chloe in the direction of doing the right thing, but now I have serious doubts about that.

It looks like there's definitely more to Chloe's story than meets the eye. I wonder why Nancy doesn't want Chloe to come home. Thanks for the previews Kpatch.

Color me surprised that Philip acts before he knows what he’s getting into...that could be the theme of his autobiography! 😉
Thanks, boss!

Chapter 4c
A phone on the table buzzed. “I think that’s yours,” Philip said.
“I thought it was yours,” Chloe replied.
He reached for her phone and picked it up. “No, it’s yours.” His brow knit as he read the message on the home screen. “Don’t come home?” He looked up at Chloe.
Chloe grabbed her phone from Philip and gasped. “Oh my god.” She pressed a couple keys and held the phone to her ear. “Mom, what’s going on?”
Philip could hear Nancy’s high-pitched voice through Chloe’s phone. She sounded panicky. “The condo was ransacked.”
“Oh my god. Are you and Dad okay?”
“It happened while we were out. They tore apart Holly’s crib and Parker’s bed.”
Chloe put a hand over her mouth. Her chest rose and fell. “Did they take anything?”
“No, and it was only the kids’ rooms that they touched.”
“I’m so sorry, Mom. I’m sorry for bringing this on you.”
“You can’t come back here, sweetie. It’s too dangerous.”
“Okay. Okay. I’ll call you when I figure something out.”
Chloe put her phone back on the table. Philip put his hand on top of hers. “You’re trembling. Chloe, what’s going on, you have to tell me.”
“It’s nothing.”
“Come on, Chloe, it’s not nothing. I could hear every word your mother said. Did they call the police?”
“No. They can’t.”
“Okay, that does it. Truth time. Who did this? Who ransacked their apartment?”
"What's ransacked?" Parker asked.
She slid her hand away. “We have to go.” She stood up. “Come on Parker.” She started to reach for Holly.
“I’m not done eating,” Parker whined.
“We’ll eat later. I said come on!”
Philip grabbed his phone as he slid out of the booth and blocked Chloe’s way.
“Philip, let me pass.”
“Uh uh. You’re not going anywhere!” He put his phone to his ear. “This is Philip Kiriakis. I need your services immediately.”
