I agree—Nancy is not exactly the president of the Philip Kiriakis fan club. If she’s pushing Chloe to spend time with Philip away from the apartment, she must be really worried (or up to something sketchy—it IS Nancy, after all).
What is up with Chloe here? And is she seeing a therapist at all? Sure seems like she needs to be....
Will we have some previews, boss?

Thanks everyone for your enthusiasm and interest in this story. Love your comments!
Here's a taste of the week ahead…
Philip and Chloe finally talk, but Philip is disturbed by how distant Chloe is. She's behaving more like he's her enemy than an old friend. What's up with that?

I suspect Chloe sees everyone as an enemy right now, except maybe Nancy and (swoon) Craig. She. Needs. A. Therapist.
Thanks, boss!

Chapter 3f
Nancy approached Chloe and quietly said, “Sweetie, you’re being a little hostile. Why don’t you go for a walk with Philip?”
Her brow wrinkled, surprised at her mother’s suggestion. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
“Well, you never know. It could be a very good idea.”
Chloe looked sidelong at Nancy. “Alright, fine.” Chloe turned and walked toward the front door. She opened it and stepped into the corridor.
Philip gave Nancy a half-smile. “It was good seeing you, Nancy. Please tell Craig I said good-bye.”
*
Chloe said nothing during the elevator ride from the 24th floor down to the lobby. The doorman nodded and held the door open as they left the building.
Chloe pulled the opening of her sweater around her neck as the autumn air whipped down Central Park West. Finally Philip broke the silence. “How was dinner?”
Her brow knit. “What are you talking about?”
“Your mother said you went to dinner with friends.”
“Oh. It was fine.”
He scratched his chin. “And how was your dinner, Philip?” he asked, pretending to be her. “It was fantastic. I almost ate at the Russian Tea Room but who wants to eat there alone? Instead, I went into a corner pizzeria, sort of doing my own test to see if New York pizza really rivals Chicago pizza.”
Squinting, she asked, “What are you babbling about?”
“I’m just trying to hold up your end of the conversation since you’re not doing it.”
“I don’t have anything to say.”
He grabbed her arm to stop her from walking. “What the hell is going on with you, Chloe?”

I have a feeling that Chloe knows what she is doing is wrong and she doesn't want to hear it. Not from anyone. She's tried 6 ways to Sunday to justify everything and when it boils right down to it, she knows there is no justification. I sure don't want Philip to get roped back into her craziness, but sure hope he can knock some sense into her.

This’ll be interesting. I hope Chloe stops being hostile to Philip.

Subtle much, Philip?
Though perhaps that’s what Chloe needs—a straightforward “what the heck??” might be effective. Or it might just make her shut down. It’s hard to tell at this point!

Chloe needs some straight talk. If anyone can snap her out of this, it's Philip. Though I think what she needs is a session with a therapist.

Chapter 3g
Squinting, Chloe asked, “What are you babbling about?”
“I’m just trying to hold up your end of the conversation since you’re not doing it.”
“I don’t have anything to say.”
He grabbed her arm to stop her from walking. “What the hell is going on with you, Chloe?” he asked angrily. “We haven’t seen each other in over six months and we should be talking a blue streak to make up for lost time.” When she pulled her arm out of his grip, he softened his tone. “We’re old friends, remember?” Chloe looked down at her shoes. “Why do I feel like you think I’m your enemy instead of your friend,” he asked.
Looking up at him, she said, “You’re not my enemy, Philip.”
“Then talk to me.”
“I told you. I have nothing to say.” She turned and began walking again. Without thinking, he put his arm around her. He knew he should take take it away, but it would seem too awkward. Besides, it felt more natural where it was.
“Why did you come, Philip? Tell me the truth.”
Her icy tone made her feel like a stranger to him. He slowly let his arm drop off her shoulder and slide down her back. Clearing his throat, he said, “I heard a friend was in trouble.”
She gave him a sideways glance. “From who? Brady?”
“Yes, Brady. He’s worried about you.”
She stopped walking and faced him. “No he’s not. He’s worried about Nicole. I’m on my own, like always.”
He wanted to tell her she didn’t have to be alone. Instead, he said, “That was your choice. But it doesn’t look to me like you’re alone. You’re hiding out in your parents’ condo. You have Nicole’s baby. Do you feel good about the way you’re living your life?”
Her nostrils flared and she took a step toward him and poked his chest. “Let’s get this straight, Philip. Holly is mine, not Nicole’s. I’m doing what’s best for my child.”
“Or is that just what you tell yourself? Let me ask you something. Are you attached to Holly because she’s Daniel’s child? Is it because you never got over him?”

Go Philip go!!! I always felt that Chloe did this because of Daniel....not because of Nicole's involvement with Deimos.

Chapter 3h
“Let me ask you something,” Philip said. “Are you attached to Holly because she’s Daniel’s child? Is it because you never got over him?”
With a gasp, she shot back, “Of course not, and I resent your saying that. Daniel and I were only married for like a minute and a half, and if wasn’t for—. Nevermind.”
Philip swallowed hard. Without finishing her sentence, he knew she was implying that he was the reason her marriage to Daniel broke up, just like Chloe was the reason his marriage to Melanie ended. That one-night stand ruined many lives.
“What’s with all these questions, Philip? This is worse than the custody hearing. Why are you acting all superior?”
“I’m not.”
“You are,” she insisted. "What’s going on Philip? It’s obvious to me you don’t even want to be here.”
Even though he knew Chloe was deflecting the conversation, he was running out of patience with this game, so he let her. “Fine. I’m annoyed Brady got me involved.”
“I’m annoyed with him too, quite frankly. But why are you annoyed?”
“Because this is not my problem," Philip rationalized, "but he made it my problem.”
“That's right. I'm not your problem. So why are you here? Why do you even care?”
He began to walk again to avoid looking at her. “Because I do. I don't want to care, but I do, okay?”
“Lovely. Thanks a lot,” she said sarcastically.
“Well, what do you expect after the way things were left last time I saw you?”

I don't think Philip is going to get through to Chloe. The person Brady should have gone to is Marlena since Chloe clearly has had some sort of psychiatric breakdown.
I don't think Chloe's behavior has anything to do with Daniel. I think Philip is still jealous of Daniel a year after Daniel's death.
