Out of curiosity...
What other shows do you follow? Soaps (although the "traditional" soaps are few and far between, anymore), reality TV, something else? Or is Days your one TV obsession?
I halfway follow The Young and the Restless, but if it comes to scheduling TV on a rare afternoon away from work (I work a second job beyond teaching)...my choice is always Days.
Until it went off last season, I was totally addicted to LOST--like old school, don't call me, don't text me, and DON'T expect me to be anywhere except in front of the TV while it's on, addicted. Now, I'm not really watching anything...more likely to see if there's something on TCM when I actually have a little TV time.
So--what do YOU do with your TV time?

Great thread idea Melly.
I have a few that I watch religiously.
Fringe is a great show. I love Supernatural. Sopranos. Right now we are hooked on watching Entourage. These are my most recent favorites. Oh, and I LOVE Cougartown with Courteney Cox. That show is hilarious!
Husband and I tend to buys seasons of shows and watch however many seasons there are of one show and then move to another and get all the seasons of that. I much prefer to watch them one after the other. I hate waiting a week between episodes. Drives me crazy. LOL

Current obsession? Days only. Its the only show that I talk about online. I DVR a lot of shows, and I really enjoy Glee, House, anything with a tortured love story it would seem. Community is THE funniest show on TV and if you aren't watching, you should be!!!
Former obsession? I own all seasons of Buffy and Angel and I consider myself a badass slayer. Man I love that show.

I've got all the seasons of Buffy and Angel too. I LOVE House but I only watched seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4. That is on our list when we finish Entourage. We are on season 4 of 8 of Entourage. LOL
Has anyone seen the new HBO show Boardwalk Empire? .Man o man that is a GREAT show.
Oh and I forgot to add in my first post and obviously Days is my all time favorite. LOl

For other soaps, I love General Hospital. I haven't watched it as long as Days so I'll probably never be as "invested" in it as I am in Days but I enjoy it more. It's very well written and still has an ensemble cast approach, basically it is everything that I once loved about Days. Days disappoints me too often to "enjoy" much anymore (I blame Tomlin) but it matters more to me - obviously, since I'm here and not at a GH site. I'm all for a GH thread here though if anyone else out there watches it.
There are very few other shows that I make a point of watching. I'd rather watch the same reruns of Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Seinfeld than bother with most of the new shows. I do like Supernatural a lot and came to it only this past season. I've been able to catch a lot of the past seasons in syndication though and became a big fan of it quick. I love Mad Men and can't wait for the new season to start. My other two favorites are True Blood and Tremé.

You like a lot of the same as me. You actually were the one to get me to watch GH. I don't follow it religiously, but I do watch it some. At least one episode, maybe 2 a week...
I enjoyed season one of True Blood. Was kind of huh? about season two, and haven't watched season 3 yet.
I have never heard of Treme, but I just looked it up on imdb.com and it looks great. When does it come air?

Seson 3 of True Blood was really good. The show is taken from a book series by Charlaine Harris but it's only loosely following the books. Season one was pretty close to what happens in the first book of the series but the next two seasons of the show took a lot of liberties and combined events from several books and changed around some of the characters. I was particularly disappointed by the turn they took with Sam (he and Tara are my favorites) and one of the new characters in Season 3 (Calvin) is almost an exact opposite of the way he is written in the books. I've read all of the books and enjoyed them but I still like the show and don't mind most of their departures from the book series.
I love Treme and I'm very pleased it got picked up for a second season. I was concerned it might just have regional appeal but apparently it was hit everywhere so I'm thrilled (I grew up on the outskirts of New Orleans and have lived in Baton Rouge all my adult years.) I think it starts back in April but I'll have to check to be sure.
There hasn't been much Maxie on GH lately, so I know that's a bummer, but I've been loving the storyline with Michael and the Sonny/brenda wedding and aftermath have been great.

Other soaps: Y&R and GH. I don't watch them everyday and actually Y&R has gotten so stupid that I rarely turn it on anymore. Victor Newman needs to die already! GH has been pretty good lately but I'm ready for this stupid Balkan storyline to be over. Something about that guy that makes me irritated. LOL. Primetime: Desperate Housewives, The Apprentice (although I forgot to DVR the start of new season on Sun...grrrr), The Middle, Modern Family (one of the BEST sitcoms to come along since The Office), Community, The Office, 30 Rock, Glee, Fox News, Food Network. Gosh, it makes it seem like I watch a lot of TV! LOL. My husband and I usually DVR everything and then we'll watch a bunch of shows all at once. I used to watch American Idol religiously but haven't really watched this season because it's just not the same without Simon.

True Blood is on my must watch list. I love that show! We also watch Californication, Dexter, Survivor, CSI, and we like Two and a Half Men but who knows what will happen with that show now. We also enjoy Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother, but it isn't crucial that we watch.
We watch a lot of stuff on Discovery and History channel. We like Top Shot and Sons of Guns- my husband is convinced he is going to get me shooting this summer. Also like American Pickers and Pawn Stars.
Justified on FX is really good too. I LOVE Timothy Olyphant!!! We used to watch Deadwood when it was on and I loved that show and now Justified is on and it kind of reminds me of his character on Deadwood only in modern times.
I never got into Buffy or Supernatural but they looked good. I just don't have the patience to sit down and watch them now.

My household was chosen as a Neilson family last month, and we had to write down all the shows we watched every day. It got a little annoying, but I started to realize that I watch A LOT of tv. LOL
Usually I'm parked on the couch from 5-11 catching up on DVR stuff, and live tv too. And trust me, my "bottom line" is proof of my lack of activity. If nothing else, the journaling made me aware that I need to be more active, so I'm trying. Not always succeeding, but trying.

DD - I ride my exercise bicycle while watching the episode of Days I tape every day. Better than nothing.
I have watched all the soaps at one time or another, mostly back in the day when they were each only a half hour long and more manageable.
Nowadays, I don't watch a lot of TV because I spend a fair bit of time writing fan fiction and chatting on the board here. I watch Days of Our Lives. I also love Mad Men if it would ever come back from hiatus. I enjoy the Food Network competitions like Who Will Be the Next Food Network Star, Chopped, Iron Chef, and Cupcake Wars. I still don't understand how the words cupcake and war can be in the same sentence. LOL.

I’ve been watching DAYS since the first day it came on and I did watch Y&R until they killed Cane off and I quit watching. Rafe/Sami and Cane/Lily have been fighting for their right to be together against all odds and it’s nice to see a blossoming love story ~ Primetime I like Pretty Little Liars, Chicago Code, Harry’s Law NCIS, The Good Wife Bones, Private Practice The Defenders, CSI:NY, Blue Bloods Army Wives, Brothers and Sisters I totally dislike reality shows and supernatural shows! Give me blood and guts looking at my list! LOL
