I really liked this chapter. I'm glad that when Philip finds out he'll be aware that Kate started this horrible chain of events. I can't blame her for not wanting Philip to know about it for many reasons.

THE TERRACE

Chloe: I thought I wouldn’t be able to spend time with him unless I proved I could create a stable environment where he could come live ... with me. That’s what Child Services told me.
Philip: I don’t care what they told you. They have their own B.S. rules. You were always welcome here, Chloe. Always.
Chloe: So everything I did ... everything that happened to me was ... for nothing?
Philip: I don’t know what you’re talking about sweetie. Or what any of this has to do with my mother.
Chloe is quiet for few moments. She tries to choke back her tears but the anger rises to the surface and she shouts at Philip.
Chloe: Your mother turned me into a prostitute. And it’s all your fault.
Philip: What???
Chloe: Your mother wanted to keep me away from you and Parker. So she paid a man to lure me into bed. He secretly videotaped me and threatened to show the tape to you and your father. He turned out to be a pimp and the only way he would keep the video from becoming public is if I became one of his hookers.
Philip: Is this for real???
Chloe: So I did. I became a prostitute to keep from losing Parker completely.
Philip: In what universe does that make sense?
Chloe: I needed an income! I needed to make enough money to get myself an apartment and show CFS I was stable.
Philip: Oh my god. [He runs his hands through his hair and over his face.] Oh my god. Why didn’t you just come to me?
Chloe: I thought you’d believe the worst of me.
Philip: You know me better than that.
Chloe: Do I? You believed I posted naked pictures of myself on the Internet to earn money for Julliard.
Philip: Why are you dredging up ancient history? I was a kid. I would never ... I would have helped you, Chloe. For god’s sake, I would have told you not to go through with it.
Chloe: Oh sure. That’s easy to say now. But where were you then? You promised me we’d get through everything together, but you lied to me. Where were you when I needed you? [She gasped.] Oh god. And now that you know the truth, I’m never going to get custody of Parker.
Chloe cried as she ran from the terrace to her bedroom.

Philip felt like he’d been punched in the stomach. He stood on the terrace in shock, unable to move, unable to comprehend or believe what Chloe just confessed to him. He remained motionless for a long time. Finally, he sank into a chair on the terrace, covered his face with his hands, and wept.

Thanks for the chapter Kpatch. I am so glad that Chloe has finally told Philip what has happened. Now hopefully she will get the help that she needs and begin to heal. I think this is a great start towards healing for her. Poor Philip to find all this out. Can't wait to see what he does next. The song was a great match for what is happening in the story. If I go to sleep and take a nap will the next chapter be waiting for me???.

First off I am thrilled that you wrote this story Kpatch since it's doubtful that we will see any more to it onscreen. This is a terrific chapter. Sad but obviously very necessary. I'm glad that Chloe let it all out. Philip obviously still cares for her a lot judging by his reaction. The song choice was perfect for them.

I agree with djm. If I take a nap will there be a new chapter when I wake up? I can hardly wait until tomorrow to see what happens next. Thanks again Kpatch!

Alone with his thoughts, what does Philip really think about Chloe's actions?

For some reason that chapter preview scares me....Something tells me when the tears wear off,he's either gonna go off on Chloe for thinking that's the only choice she had,or he's gonna kill Kate.Either way,it won't be good.
