A few weeks ago,I didn't mind Daniel,and dare I say it?I kinda liked him.
Right now though,with Jack's return,he's gotten really pompous,piss on Jennifer to mark my territory pompous.For you guys tomorrow,get your tomatoes ready if you support Jack.I wish I had.He's all up in Jack's face "I won't let you hurt them,how many times have you said you won't hurt them?".Umm excuse me,since when did Daniel corner the market on morality?He slept with both Chelsea and grandma Kate,slept with Chloe when she was engaged to Lucas,and then abandoned Chloe when she needed him,to the point where she cheated on him and then he tossed her out on her behind.Did I forget anything?He doesn't know Jack,doesn't know what Jennifer herself has done in the past,doesn't realize the times that Jennifer herself hurt Jack.And here he is,jumping around to conclusions when he doesn't yet know the story about what Jack's been through this time.Sanctimonious JERK.It's so funny to me how HE's allowed to hurt people,yet he sits on his moral high horse with everyone else.Have I left anything out?

No, I'm pretty sure you covered everything.  I don't mind Daniel standing up for Jenn, but based on his background, he REALLY shouldn't be throwing stones. Hello Pot? This is Kettle calling. |

Honestly this episode...ok just the Daniel,Jack,Jenn scenes,are making me want to put my fist through the tv.He's got this "You can hurt people WITH me,but don't you dare hurt ME" attitude.Jennifer and Jack are TRYING to tell him what actually happend but he's so insecure,so sarcastic and judgemental he's making me ill.I agree,this is the pot trying to call the kettle black,but it's just not washing with me.

I haven't seen today's episode yet but standing up for the one you love isn't a crime..Yes, Daniel has a past but currently he loves Jenn and doesn't want to see her get hurt.

Very true,but sitting in judgement over a situation you know nothing about,and not bothering to listen when people are trying to tell you about said situation,including the person you love,is not ok in my book.

I love the title of this thread. I can't wait to see this so I can get annoyed at Daniel all over again. He and Melanie have always forgotten their own sins.
You're right. He doesn't know Jack. But he's scared of what Jack's return might mean to his own future with Jennifer. Be afraid Dan. Be very afraid.

Kpatch-What you just said proves my point though.Daniel isn't doing this because he's concerned for Jennifer,he's doing this for himself.So he wants to call Jack selfish?He wants to sit there and not believe anything both Jack AND Jenn are saying?The way he's acting only proves to me that it isn't Jenn he's worried about,he's worried about HIMSELF,and there inlies the crux of the problem for me.Yet again,he acts like a selfish,sanctimonious jerk,so he has no business turning his nose up at Jennifer.Oh by the way,I'm sorry for some of the language I used in my original post (I wanted to say worse,believe me),I just couldn't help it though.Daniel got me from 0 to b...witch in half a second.

Ever since Jack came back I have found myself telling Daniel to shut up. I haven't seen what you are talking about yet, but just from the prior stuff I have seen, he is driving me bonkers.

I think we all knew this wouldn't be pleasant for all involved..So far Abigail is not willing to forgive, not sure on Jennifer yet and of course Daniel would be hurt. I do believe though that this is Jennifer's problem and he should respect that, but sometimes love can blind you. Especially when you see the one you love getting hurt and troubled.
I know that if I had been in ex's life when his ex wife hurt him I would have throttled her!!!

Well considering that Chloe slept with her ex boyfriend Philip and created Parker while Daniel and Chloe were engaged, I can actually see why Daniel would be trying very hard to keep Jennifer away from Jack. He doesn't want to have another one of his girlfriends that he cares about cheat on him with her ex. Plus this isn't anything new with Daniel's character. He has always played the victim even when he is the one who is wrong.
I can't believe I am actually defending Daniel considering how much I despise this character and always have since his first days on Days.
BTW Daniel never actually slept with Chelsea but he did sleep with Kate while he was dating Chelsea which is worser IMO then if he did sleep with Chelsea. If I am not mistaken didn't Chelsea find out about Daniel and Kate right about the time when she was about to sleep with Daniel.

I think so karebr.As for the first thing you said though,Daniel STILL has no right to throw stones even if that's his frame of mind.No it wasn't ok for Chloe to cheat on him with Philip,but it wasn't ok for Daniel and Chloe to cheat on Lucas either.So where does Daniel get off on his treatment of Jack?Yes Jack left for a story,and THAT was his choice.Jennifer should be plenty angry about that.But what WASN'T Jack's choice,was being taken hostage.Jennifer acknowledges that in the episode I'm ranting about.Yet STILL Daniel won't listen to even her.I get why he wouldn't listen to Jack,I really do.But not to listen to Jenn?That's not fair.Jenn's under enough pressure already,she doesn't need Daniel pissing on her to mark his territory.

...And this is why I never gave up my spot on the Dan-is-a-slimy-sleazeball bandwagon...  Daniel always acts exactly like this ... and yeah he should be insecure with Jack back, but too bad, so sad, sucks to be you, read 'em & weep, karma's here to kick your butt. I don't care if Daniel feels like he's about to lose the girl again, he deserves to lose her; he never should have had a shot with her to begin with. I want him to lose Jennifer and be so heartbroken over it that he packs up and leaves Salem for good. On a bit of a side note: Only in Salem could the same doctor treat and then sleep with the niece, mother and wife of the same man only to have that man's brother come along and steal the wife back from you before you then go on to have an affair with his sister too..... geez, maybe Billie and Cassie could come back to Salem so that Dan can complete the set .... I'm thinking that maybe it was Lucas that Dan really wanted all along and thus the fascination with every woman in his family. |
