I'm glad you figured that out for me DD. My pregnant brain was getting confused! ;D And not that it matters, but Daniel and Chelsea never had sex. Doesn't make it any less gross what he did with that whole Chelsea/Kate thing but still. LOL.
Having not seen the scenes in question here, I find it hard to really comment on this. But is it really so surprising that Daniel would act in this manner? It's typical of his personality and character to be "holier than thou" and think that his you-know-what don't stink. That's just how he is. Now, in this situation though, I can understand him trying to protect Jennifer but he's also afraid of losing her to Jack. He's not just going to sit there and allow that to happen. He's too much of a caveman for that. He's going to fight for her....and will likely lose miserably. LOL. But I really can't fault him for fighting. And as far as the comments about Jack or even Jack and Jen's relationship, yeah, he doesn't know Jack really but he does know what Jen has told him and he knows that she was really hurt by Jack. So of course he's going to have a biased opinion!! This should not be surprising at all.

Yes, DD I was thinking that too. She couldn't help it that all the hotties were connected to the Kiriakis'.
I haven't watched the past two episodes yet but you can tell that Daniel is feeling very insecure. Just when I was starting to like him better, Daniel messes it up.

@dd, You get a gold star... oops, I forgot you prefer green ones Sparkster, Are you sure that Chelsea and Daniel never did the deed? I'll take your word for it because I guess my poor eyes were so blinded by the grossness of their heavy makeout scenes in every nook and corner they could find in Salem that I just thought they did. I agree that there is nothing surprsing about Daniel jumping to conclusions and passing judgements on a man he just met. I mean this is the same dude who had the nerve to criticize Lucas who treated Chloe like gold and blame his own affair with Lucas' wife on Lucas. Daniel could not have been more wrong in that situation but he still had the nerve to blame the very person he wronged .... so of course he's going to be looking for every chance he gets to badmouth Jack. It doesn't have anything to do with "protecting" Jennifer, it's all about what Daniel wants all the time. He makes me sick!

That's precisely what I'm saying.I didn't say I was surprised by his behaviour toward Jack.I'm disgusted by it.I don't like that yet again,he's jumping to conclusions, not listening, blaming Jack (the only thing Jack is to blame for is leaving on that story in the first place, the kidnapping was not something he asked for),what's really bad,was the sarcastic remarks, the tone, the snide look on his face (I'm not prone to violence, but wouldn't have minded smacking that look off his face),and I hated even more, that under the guise of protecting Jennifer,he's only protecting himself.

I agree that Jack has a tough road ahead of him (rebuilding his family's trust), but Daniel was WAY out of line today. Just because he is Jenn's current boyfriend, that doesn't give him the right to say the things he was saying. His only job is to stand behind Jenn and support her when she needs it. I'd wager that if he was a sympatheitc ear, instead of an annoying know-it-all, he'd have a better shot with Jenn. Protecting Jenn is understandable, but he's totally doing it the wrong way. But keep going Dr. Feelgood. You'll get what you deserve.
Jack's swagger was a nice touch though. He's not the clown anymore! That's for sure. Plus, I don't care if he is 51, he's still hawt. Can we get more shirtless Jack, please? ;D

Jack shirtless doesn't sound appealing.... Was he in shape and not pasty white? I never thought of Jack as sexy!

I thought he looked really good. Especially since he's 51. The guy's still got it!
It's right at the beginning:

Having now seen these scenes, I feel like I can appropriately comment on this. Daniel definitely seemed to be "marking his territory" so to speak, but I really don't fault him for it. Jack wasn't just some innocent in all of this either. He seemed to really be getting a kick out of getting under Daniel's skin and making himself feel all at home there at the Horton house. That wasn't very appropriate in my opinion. As far as Daniel's comments to Jack, he only knows what he's heard from Jennifer so his POV is going to be skewed and obviously biased since he doesn't want to lose Jen. The thing that Daniel said that I most disagreed with was when Jack told him this was between him and Jen and none of Daniel's business and Daniel tried to make it his business. I agree with DD, Daniel is going about this the wrong way if he's trying to hold onto Jennifer. He can offer to be there for her if she needs him but this is something she's got to work out for herself. Although, I will say that Daniel said some things to Jack today that he needed to hear. The part that got to me was it seemed like Jen let the two of them go back and forth for too long. She almost seemed to be enjoying two men fighting over her for awhile there. Finally she jumped in and told BOTH of them how childish they were being and to get out of there and leave her alone. She looked pretty torn there at the end of the episode.

I'm sure Jenn was getting a kick out of it. Wouldn't you? I know I would! But only for a few minutes, then I'd make them stop. Of course, if it were Matt and Shawn (or James, or Galen) and they started to wrestle for me, I'd only make them stop after all the oil (from the wrestling) started ruining my carpet. But that would take a LONG time.
