I'm glad Philip told Chloe sooner rather than later. But no way is Victor going to stay home and Philip probably knows better than to even try that.

Seriously Chloe?? Have you met Victor Kirakis? Telling him not to come to Chicago is only going to make things worse....and I could see him pulling the plug on her little musical area out of spite.

I'm glad Philip told Chloe about Victor's visit. I don't think she actually believes Philip can stop Victor from showing up. After everything they've gone through lately she's not up to dealing with Victor.

Hope you’re enjoying the start of this new installment in the After the Fall saga.
For those of you interested in previews, this week…
Chloe has a suggestion for Victor’s visit.
Monday arrives, along with Victor, who immediately starts barking orders, finding fault, and giving Philip a hard time.

Chapter 2b
Lying in bed, Philip hesitantly said, “Chloe, I need to tell you something.”
Her eyes widened. “Uh oh. What?”
“Victor is coming.”
“To the wedding?”
“No. I mean yes, they RSVP’d in the affirmative, but I’m talking about now. He’s coming Monday.”
“Monday??” She sat up quickly. “Crap! Why?”
“He says it’s business.”
Knitting her brow, she said, “Well, tell him not to come.”
“I can’t, sweetheart. Titan’s still his company. Besides, when does Victor ever do what you tell him to do?” Collapsing onto the bed again, she stared up at the ceiling. “Chloe? Say something.”
“Is that why you had to go into the office this morning?” Philip nodded. She turned her head to look at him. “Why’s he coming? What does he want?”
“No idea, but hopefully it’ll be a quick trip. So quick, Joe won’t even need to turn off the engine on the Titan jet.”
“Wait.” She turned her head to look at Philip. “When did you find out about this?”
Rubbing his forehead, Philip said, “Early this morning, when I called my father after you left the guest room to make breakfast for Parker.”
Chloe’s jaw dropped. “And you waited until now to tell me?”
“Don’t be mad. I didn’t want to ruin our day. Today was the first day we’ve had as a family in … in I can’t remember how long.”
She pouted. “Except it already did, because you had to give up part of your Saturday.”
“Chloe,” he admonished.
“Okay okay, I’m sorry. You have enough to deal with without me making it harder.” She squeezed his hand. “And you’re right. The three of us had a lovely day and it wouldn’t have felt as carefree if I knew Victor was coming.”
He blew some air between his lips. “Thank you.”
She sighed deeply and softened. “But honey, didn’t you tell me just this morning that we’re in this together? Don’t carry the burden alone, okay?” When he nodded, she said, “Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help.”
“Like what?”
“I don’t know. Poison his tuna salad. Put spoiled milk in his Starbucks.”
Philip laughed to himself. “It’ll be fine. He’ll come. He’ll grumble. He’ll go. Then we can get back to our lives and finish our wedding planning.”
She rolled toward Philip and smiled. “Ever the optimist.”
“I have every reason to be optimistic.” He pulled her bare body into his arms. “I have you.”

I'm glad to see Chloe's working on not getting so upset about these kind of things. I have a feeling, though, that Victor's stay won't be quite as short as Philip thinks.

Immediate crisis averted. Philip and Chloe dealt with That like reasonable adults. Dr Richards would be proud!!
Now--why exactly is Victor coming to town??

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I think that conversation would have gone much better if they weren't in bed I'd prefer to see them communicate without sex Otherwise it's just pillow talk

I'm glad to see some more maturity on both of their parts. I have some hope that maybe their relationship won't go in the same circle it has been.
