from daytime royalty daytimeroyaltyonline.com/topic/8580298/1/SID: A Satisfying Ending for Chloe?; October 10th Issue It feels like we've been dreading this exit for months (and in fact, we have), but Nadia Bjorlin's Chloe will finally be hitting the road on Wednesday, September 28th. Considering fans of the character -- and her three popular romances with Brady, Daniel and Phillip -- felt slighted by the direction her character took in recent months, will they be satisfied by her exit story? "I loved that Chloe gets some vindication and gets to tell Kate off," Bjorlin previews, referencing her long-held enmity with Phillip's mom. (Though, to be honest, we think Chloe should get to do a whole lot more than yell at the woman who attempted to kill her and drove her into hooking.) As for Chloe's exit, Bjorlin admits that her recent activities made it nearly impossible for a perfect ending. "The character had just been circling the drain," she says. "So I guess the best possible way for her to exit was to go be with her son, start to rebuild her life and prove -- and also know -- that she's a good mother." So, to answer our question... that's a yes?

I'd say that's a pretty good ending considering the alternative.Dena would have probably killed her off.Does that mean though that Chloe's going to have a final show down with Kate before she leaves,or was this article talking about the last showdown she had with her?

Thanks for posting these!
I agree, I think it's a pretty good ending, esp. since they can't go back in time and re-write the whole story line.
I'd be GREAT if they could have Jay whisk her out of Salem.

I'd like that.I'm a die hard Phelanie fan,but there's still a soft spot for Phloe, and I really think that it would be a nice pay off for those who are still diehard phloe fans.

Even though I am a hard core Phloe fan, I am really glad that Phloe wasn't reunited for Chloe's exit. As much as I would have loved to see Philip/Jay come back and take Chloe to Chicago to be with him and Parker it is actually better that Chloe will be moving there on her own and trying to get her life back in order and help raise Parker. At least we know that she will still be in Philip's and Parker's lives since she is moving to Chicago to be closer to them and with that knowledge I can actually say that I am satisfied with Chloe's exit.
By not having Philip come back to Salem to whisk Chloe off into the sunset, it makes it easier for the new writers to bring back either Philip or Chloe sometime in the future without having to bring them back together as a couple (if one of the actors wasn't able to return) or to have to separate them like they did with Broe when Chloe came back without Brady. I would hate to see Phloe end up going the Broe route if either Philip or Chloe came back to Salem without the other. Plus I would much rather see my favorite Days couple reunite on screen and be finally given the adult love story that both characters deserve instead of just having to deal with them having a fairy tale ending offscreen like Broe had after they were married until all that stuff went down in Vienna with Brady's drug addiction.

Great post karebr! I'm really glad you are happy with the ending because I know you had all kinds of hopes for it. I'm a little torn, but I tend to agree with you, especially about wanting an onscreen reunion and love story for Phloe, not offscreen.
@delina, I was also wondering whether they meant the showdown we already saw with Kate, or whether there's another one coming up.

According to some spoilers for next week there is supposed to be another showdown with Kate and Chloe next week right before Chloe leaves. Kate is supposed to be taunting Chloe again about being an unfit mother and they end up having a showdown.

I wondered the same thing ladies. I agree with Karebr. I don't want a one day happy ending for Phloe only to have one of them return and say that it didn't work out. I think it's the best ending we can have given the circumstances. The Broes and Danloes wouldn't get a happy ending unless Eric or Shawn were leaving the show too. At least we saw Daniel showing that he still cares about Chloe. The Broes should be happy about the recent scenes Brady and Chloe have shared.

The writers had their work cut out for them trying to turn things around for Chloe before she leaves. It could have been better, but for the short amount of time the writers had to do something about this train wreck that is Chloe's story,I'm ok with the way she leaves.
