Anyone doing anything special for St. Pats? Going to parades? Bars?
We're having Ron's corned beef (sooo good). He boils then bakes it with an orange marmalade glaze. Cabbage. Irish Soda Bread. Beer. And we'll probably end the day (literally, because I will fall asleep) with an Irish Coffee. Mmmm.

I don't do anything special for St. Patrick's day. If anything, I will either be working that night or staying with my friend who just had cancer surgery.

With a husband named Patrick, he will be making some corned beef & cabbage. I have Ron's recipe ( made it a few years back & yums).. Maybe I can convince him to make that one again. Otherwise, we are just staying home, no other special stuff.

Well it is a stat holiday in Ireland but I have bookings in my hair salon so I'm working We would go out but..... I'm expecting I was going to wait to say something because of what happened in January but since I got pregnant so fast after the miscarriage I had to have an early scan so they could date it They said everything looks great and we're really happy with the heart beat and everything I've never been so happy to be so sick all the time I'm a very tiny person so I'm already showing a bit I had to go out and buy baggy clothes cuz we haven't told anyone but our families yet

Very happy for you doolfan4life. We bowl in a Friday night league so that's what I'm doing for St. Patrick's Day.

Congratulations doolfan4life! I only had morning sickness for 2 miserable weeks but I had heartburn the whole pregnancy. I hope you feel better than I did. Good luck with everything!!! Have some green juice instead! LOL

Congrats at doolfan4life!! I'm so excited for you! I know someone who has struggled with pregnancy for quite a while now and just learned about a week and a half ago that she was at 20 weeks. I was so happy for her I was in tears. She was the same way about waiting to tell anyone. Hope everything goes well and you continue to get nothing but good news!

Congrats, doolfan4life! As for me, I'm not really doing anything too special. My dad's making corned beef and cabbage, so I'll probably help with that. Though, really, I've already done something special. For my show this week, I did a St. Patrick's Day tribute. All songs were either by Irish artists or covers of Irish songs. So, if you'd like some Irish tunes to listen to on St. Patrick's Day, here are two hours worth! www.spreaker.com/user/4485607/the-mixs-2017-st-patricks-day-special

It was not, Kpatch, but "Irish Lullaby", which is where the "too-rah-loo-rye" line originally came from is. Have a listen. It's a fun show!

I will be doing that André DiMera. Your shows are always entertaining. You're a natural. I swear we had raisins in the house but we don't. Gotta have raisins for the soda bread. I think I know where they sell some.

Going to a cookout, I don't think you can cook out Corned Beef and Cabbage. But I could be wrong.
I am not going to take any chances, I have my neighborhood pizza joint on speed dial.

I've never been to the local St. Patrick's Day parade. Maybe someday.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Our wonderful neighbors are joining us for dinner tonight. Yay. Seven beers in the fridge. Not sure if that will be enough.
