THE PIER AT SUNSET
Philip started to drift off to sleep when he heard voices that sounded distant at first but grew closer and closer. There were two voices, a man with an accent and a woman.
Woman: Why are you doing this to me?
Man: Because love, I need you.
Woman: You don’t need me. You have plenty of women who are a dime a dozen.
Man: My girls don’t come that cheap.
Woman: You disgust me.
Man: Listen Chloe, I’m not the one who took money from me for sex. You did.
Chloe: I told you I would pay you back.
Quinn: You haven’t got the money. But with my installment plan, you could pay it off very quickly.
Chloe: I’m not a whore and I’m not going to sleep with your clients.
Quinn: Then I’m going to have to make our video public. Luckily, you look beautiful naked.
Chloe: Go to hell, you bastard.
Philip walks up to them.
Philip: Is everything alright?
Quinn: Everything’s fine sir. My associate and I were just discussing some business. Say, you look like a man who could use some company. Let me give you my card.
Philip looks at the business card which reads “Elite Escorts. Satisfaction Guaranteed.” Then he looks at Chloe who is mortified and on the verge of tears. He puts his hand on Chloe’s back.
Philip: Come on. Let’s get out of here.
Quinn: Excellent! Let me give you our price list.
Philip: You can take your price list and shove it up your ass.
Quinn: Listen, my girls don’t work for free.
Philip: She is not one of your girls and she never will be. And if that video ever sees the light of day, you’re going to wish you were dead.
Quinn: Who the hell are you to talk to me this way?
Philip: My name is Kiriakis and in case that doesn’t mean anything to you, it should. He takes out his wallet and peels off 10 one-hundred dollar bills, and stuffs them into Quinn’s hand. That should be enough to make the video disappear. Now I want you to disappear. Get the hell out of here before I kill you.
Quinn: Look, Kiriakis, I’m a businessman just like you. Just trying to make a living. No harm intended. Good day mate. Good bye Chloe.

Boy I had tears in my eyes after reading this. I wish it had happened this way on the show. I am now liking Chloe and Philip together. Thanks for the chapter Kpatch. How do I explain the red eyes at work?

Boy I had tears in my eyes after reading this. I wish it had happened this way on the show. I am now liking Chloe and Philip together. Thanks for the chapter Kpatch. How do I explain the red eyes at work? Allergies are bad? At least Quinn isn't working for Kate? Or is he? Glad Philip is there for Chloe but apparently Chloe stilll needs some self-confidence. |

Just got caught up!! Love that Stephanie found out about both Chloe and Morgan / glad that Phillip dumped Morgan / glad that Chloe and Phillip cleared the air about how they were both hurt back in the high school days. But best of all LOVED how Phillip came to Chloe's rescue and got her away from Quinn. ;D

Terrific chapter Kpatch! I really wish that's what would have happened on screen. I would have liked to see Philip hit Quinn but I'm glad that he rescued Chloe. I can't wait for tomorrow's chapter.

As Quinn walks away, Chloe starts to cry. Philip puts his arms around her.
Philip: You okay?
Chloe: Yes. Thank god you came when you did. I didn’t know what I was going to do. Thank you for paying him off and sticking up for me.
Philip: It’s what I should have done 12 years ago, right? He takes a step back and looks at Chloe.. ... What were you doing with that jerk anyway? Did you really take money for having sex with him?
Chloe doesn’t answer.
Philip: What’s wrong with you?
Chloe looks at Philip and she’s furious.
Chloe: Really Philip? This is all your fault!
Philip: My fault? What are you talking about?
Chloe: You rejected me both personally and professionally. You made Sterling Cooper fire me ....
Philip: You don’t need money. You’re getting a divorce settlement from Brady.
Chloe: No I’m not.
Philip: Why not?
Chloe: Not that it’s any of your business, but I didn’t think I should take money from Brady just because we were married for a couple years. I didn’t do anything to deserve it. So I have no money. I have nothing.
Philip is quiet for several minutes.
Philip: I’m sorry.
Philip couldn’t remember the last time he said he was sorry to anyone and meant it, but he was truly sorry this time. He made some emotional decisions and they affected Chloe in a very negative way. He hadn’t even considered the fact that she might really need a job, need the money. When he said he didn’t want her singing in a commercial for the book store, he wasn’t thinking about anyone but himself. As usual.

Sounds like Phillip is having to do a little growing up. Why couldn't the writing on the show be even HALF as good for Phillip as the wonderful stuff our FanFic writers (especially kpatch) comes up with???
