I was enjoying Philip with Stephanie in this story - they could have been really good together on the show if they had gotten Kpatch level writing. I don't remember things happening the way that Chloe describes; I see it from Philip's point of view, that Chloe dumped him for his obnoxious nephew (because Kyle's Brady was obnoxious to me) .... Philip might buy it and feel sorry for her but I don't. Thanks for the compliment Kazz. This story stays fairly true to history, with a few variances. So, you are right about Philip's side of the story. But Chloe's side of the story is really true too. Check out the confrontation, starting at about the 2:40 mark. I just watched this video. It was heartbreaking. Philip treated Chloe horribly that night. She was completely devastated. |

Thanks for your great comments. I'm glad you're still enjoying the story and hanging in there as we head into the final week.
Because we're down to the final week, I can't get too specific, lest I give away the ending, except to say the story ends on Friday.

Philip prepares to return to Brazil.
Before he goes, he pays off a bribe.

I liked that Stephanie let him have it. She so would have done that on the show too before the whole Nathan fiasco. Great chapter. I would have loved it if Philip would have reflected on what he did and attempted to talk to Stephanie but maybe that is coming up. lol Keeping my fingers crossed.

CHEATIN’ HEART
Philip was alone having a beer -- his last beer in this godforsaken town of Salem. He picked up a pool cue and took a shot. Over the last few weeks, Philip had walked around in a fog. The anger he held onto, and the bitterness that was his best friend started to seem like distant cousins he could no longer relate to. They were there, but he didn’t know what to do with them. They had defined him for so long, and now they eluded him. He almost didn’t know who he was anymore.
He worked hard to tie up loose ends and finish his project so he could get away from Salem and go back to Brazil where he could be his own man instead of Victor Kiriakis’ disappointment of a son; where he could be anonymous instead of being someone who everyone thinks they know so well or someone they have a claim on.
He oversaw the launch of BooksaBillion, became all-business with Melanie, broke it off with Morgan, but still had regrets about Stephanie. He had toyed with the idea of asking her to come to Brazil with him, but that was now a moot point.
THE PIER AT DUSK
Philip left the Cheatin’ Heart and walked slowly along the pier. He had nothing to do and nowhere to be. He was heading back to Brazil tomorrow, but something kept nagging at him, like he had unfinished business here.
He stepped over to the edge of the wharf and looked at his reflection in the water. A teenage boy looked back at him. Young, idealistic, and hopeful for the future. Pretty much the opposite of the man who stood at the water’s edge today. He took off his shoes and socks and sat down on the dock with his feet dangling off the pier. He leaned back until he was lying flat on the ground looking straight up at the darkening sky. He closed his eyes.

Great video! I maintain that Jay only really had chemistry with Nadia. All of the others just didn't fit.

I thought Jay had great chemistry with Stephanie, but the writers decided to make her look more goody-goody than we knew she really was. Chloe was best with Brady.

I'm a little worried about Philip laying on the pier like that... it can't be clean .... or safe.
Love the video! Excellent job!!! I would offer to give Philip a hug but Kpatch and I have an agreement that prevents it... I'm sure there will be plenty of other volunteers though and the poor guy needs one... or seven....
