Chapter 271
O'HAIRE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
The teens had gone through Customs and were now making their way to baggage claim.
CANNING: Welcome back to America, mates. Hope you've enjoyed the journey.
CLAIRE: We really did!
CHASE: Yeah, thanks for putting this all together, Mr. Canning!
CANNING: No problem. Was happy to take all of you to see my homeland.
They arrived at baggage claim, where most of the students were reunited with their families.
TRIX: Dad.
NICHOLAS; Trix. How was the trip?
TRIX: Good. Mum says hi.
NICHOLAS: Does she? That's good.
SHAWN-D: Hope you had fun, Claire Bear!
CLAIRE: I did! So much fun! I've got so many pictures to show you!
BELLE: That's wonderful, honey!
STEVE: Glad you had a good time, dude.
JOEY: Yeah, it was pretty sweet!
Claire and Chase walked up to Hope and Aiden. Ciara was wearing a sweater with a hood on it, which covered her hair.
CHASE: Dad!
AIDEN: Welcome home, Chase!
HOPE: Welcome home, sweetie!
CIARA: Thanks, mom.
AIDEN: You guys have a good trip?
Both nodded.
CHASE: It was really cool!
CIARA: We had an awesome time!
HOPE: Excellent! Honey, aren't you warm with that sweater on?
CIARA: Not really. It was winter in Australia, so it was kinda cold. I know it's summer here, but I guess I just got used to wearing it.
Noelle passed by on her way out.
NOELLE: And she doesn't want you to know what she did yet.
CIARA: I'll miss seeing you every day, too, Noelle.
HOPE: Ciara, what was that all about?
CIARA: It's just Noelle, you know. She's just causing trouble, as always. But, there is kind of something that I should probably tell you guys.
AIDEN: Well, that sounds ominous.
HOPE: What's going on?
CIARA: Guess I might as well show you now. You'll see it when I take off this sweater, anyway.
Ciara lowered her hood to reveal her blue hair.
SALEM PIER
ANDRE: So, we're both here. What do you want?
Deimos turned around.
DEIMOS: Events are moving, Mr. DiMera. I think I'm finally ready to put our plans into action.
ANDRE: Is that it? That's all you have? Surely you could have called or texted me to tell me this information.
DEIMOS: Hey, it's not that easy! There are eyes all over that mansion! Plus, with me being Philip's toadying lacky now that he's back, I never get any privacy! Besides, I thought you'd be pleased to know.
ANDRE: Oh, I am, but there are other ways of getting information to me.
DEIMOS: So, what, you'd rather not know?
ANDRE: Do not test me, Deimos Kiriakis. I thought we had this discussion when I came to see you in Korydallos all those months ago. Besides, you already have one strike against you after that stupid scheme with Jan Spears failed.
DEIMOS: How was I supposed to know that she would find her presumed dead daughter and completely give up on having the kid steal Philip and Victor's money?
ANDRE: What happened to the boy, anyway?
DEIMOS: As soon as Philip found out what he was up to, he ran off back to his mother.
ANDRE: Good. I don't like using children. I assume you have some excuse for a brain and that the boy didn't tell Philip about us.
DEIMOS: Of course not. I'm not that stupid.
ANDRE: Your actions thus far beg to differ, I'm afraid.
DEIMOS: Look, I don't need this, okay? It's great to get to work with you, but I can do this by myself, if I have to.
André's face grew dark.
ANDRE: Can you really? Are you quite sure about that?
