Chapter 19

BASKETBALL COURT
Will led Allie and Sydney out to the basketball court.
WILL: Hey, guys.
Sonny, J.J., Paige, Joey, Ciara, Theo, Henri and Alex were there.
WILL: Got room for two more?
SONNY: Always. Hey, girls
SYDNEY & ALLIE: Hi.
WILL: For those of you who don't remember, these are my sisters, Allie and Sydney. Girls, you already know Sonny, Ciara and Theo. This is J.J., Paige, Joey...and...
HENRI: Henri.
ALEX: Alex.
WILL: Right. You guys pick teams yet?
CIARA: We were just about to. Hey, Allie.
ALLIE: Hey.
CLAIRE: Don't forget us.
Claire walked in pushing Chase in a wheelchair.
CLAIRE: We wanna play, too.
J.J.: Come on in.
WILL: All right, guys. Let's start with the teams.

DIMERA MANSION
JOHNNY: Mom, he was just teaching me how to play chess.
SAMI: With him, it's never just chess.
ANDRE: Is it so wrong for me to want to spend time with my nephew?
SAMI: Don't try to play innocent. I know that you're doing something with my son.
ANDRE: I have no idea what you mean.
SAMI: The same thing you do with any potential DiMera heir. The same thing Stefano always did.
ANDRE: There's no reason to bring father into this.
SAMI: Oh, come on! You're just as bad as he is! In fact, you're worse! At least Stefano cared about his family, even if it was in a way that ultimately destroyed them.
André smiled.
ANDRE: Giovanni, go outside. Your mother and I have some things to clear up.
JOHNNY: Okay. Whatever.
Johnny walked out. André stopped smiling.
ANDRE: I would advise you not to speak ill of my father. Especially around young Giovanni.
SAMI: His name is Johnny! And I will not let you destroy him the way you and your father destroyed E.J.! The way you destroy everything!
André took Sami by the wrist.
SAMI: Let go of me! Get your hands off of me, you sick son of a bitch!
ANDRE: You may want to watch out, Sami! Or, do you forget what happened the last time you were in this exact situation? It's been quite a while since I've had to replace the doors out to the garden. I wish to keep it that way. So, if I were you, I'd calm down and tread very lightly. You never know where you may land if I happen to let go accidentally.
Sami stopped resisting.
ANDRE: There we go. See, isn't that simple? Now, listen to me very carefully. For as long as you are in town, I will be allowed to see Giovanni. Twice a week for three hours. You and he may arrange the days and times. If for one week he happens to have forgotten to come by, I will see to it that he does not forget again.
SAMI: What are you going to do to him?
ANDRE: Nothing. I'm just going to teach him chess. Nothing more.
André let go of Sami's wrists.
SAMI: You will never get away with this!
Sami walked out. André chuckled to himself.
ANDRE: Oh, Sami...I already have.

Sami really needs more of a plan than getting in Andre's face. LOL. I enjoyed their confrontation! Andre probably has gotten away with this... for now.

Have we seen Alex before? I'm trying to remember. Either way, I'm glad the guys are doing something to keep their minds off the explosion and that Chase can join in in his wheelchair.

Yes, heroicmuse. Alex first appeared in my fanfic "Loves Labours". He played Magaldi in the "Evita" scenes. He's also Henri's boyfriend in my fanfic.

Andre's threats will not be taken lightly by Sami. Andre probably better remember all that Sami has done to him and his family as well. She is not a pushover.

Chapter 20

BASKETBALL COURT
The teams were thus. Team A: J.J. and Paige (who was in a wheechair, so J.J. had to push), Ciara Joey, Henri and Allie. Team B: Theo, Alex, Sydney, Sonny, Claire and Chase. Because there was an uneven number of people, Will was being the referee.
WILL: I want a nice, clean game. No cheating. We'll play until four, that's one hour. Most important, have fun. All right, everybody. Let's play!
Click here to listen to this throughout the scene. Will had gotten a whistle for around his neck and blew it. Team A started with the ball. Joey was going down the court. He passed it, but it was intercepted by Sonny. Sonny then passed it to Chase, who put it in his lap as Claire pushed him down the court.
CIARA: Hey! Time out!
Will blew the whistle. Everyone stopped.
WILL: Yes, Ciara?
CIARA: That's traveling.
CHASE: If I could bounce it down the court, I would. But, obviously, in this thing, it would be a bit difficult.
Ciara walked over and punched Chase lightly in the shoulder.
CIARA: I know, dude. I'm just giving you a hard time.
CHASE: Well, I'd be concerned if you didn't.
Chase and Ciara laughed, and hugged.
WILL: All right. Does anyone have any other concerns before we continue?
Seeing that no one did, Will blew the whistle again. Claire drove Chase down the court, with Joey coming in on the side to block. Claire got Chase to the three point line. Chase threw the ball, and it went through the hoop.
WILL: 3 points to Team B!
Ciara picked up the ball and handed it to Chase.
SONNY: Chase, I'm open!
Chase threw the ball to Sonny. Sonny went down the court with the ball, and saw Sydney on his left side. He passed the ball to Theo, who caught it, threw it, and made the shot.
WILL: 2 points to Team B!
Theo picked up the ball and passed it to Alex. Henri ran up.
ALEX: Don't think I'm gonna go easy on you just 'cause you're cute.
HENRI: Wouldn't dream of it.
Henri grabbed the ball and started going to opposite way down the court. He passed to Joey. Joey passed to Paige. Paige handed the ball to J.J., who took the shot and made it.
WILL: 3 points to Team A!
At the end of the first quarter, the score was Team A with 3 points, Team B with 9. After a short break, Will blew the whistle to start the second quarter. Alex started with the ball. He saw Sydney towards the three point line. He threw the ball to her. She caught it and went for the shot. It circled the rim. Everyone watched as it went around and around. Then, it went in.
WILL: 3 points to Team B!
Sydney picked up the ball and threw it in Chase's direction. It was intercepted by Allie, who went down the other side of the court. She went for the shot, but missed.
WILL: Foul ball! Team B gets the ball.
Allie picked up the ball and threw it to Theo. After several more blows of whistles, several more baskets, and several more misses, it was four o'clock. Theo was holding the ball. He looked around.
SONNY: Go for it, Theo!
Theo threw the ball. It went in. Will blew the whistle one last time.
WILL: And time! 3 points for Team B! Team B has 31 points, Team A has 25 points; and that means Team B wins!
Theo, Ciara, Alex, Sydney, Claire and Chase all cheered. The other team clapped for them, and all shook hands.
ALEX: Good game.
HENRI: You too.
CIARA: You did awesome out there, Theo!
THEO: Thanks. So did you.
WILL: You all did. Great game, guys.

Oooh that was a fun, exciting game! I'll have to read again with the music later since I'm at work but even just reading it was fun. Great chapter André DiMera!

Chapter 21

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
It is now a few days later. To the rest of the world, Jan was still in a coma from hitting her head in the explosion...

JAN'S MIND
...in her mind, however. That's a whole different story.
JAN: Why does it have to be this way?
Jan was still struggling with her alter ego. The one who remembers everything.
JAN 2: You want your memory back, don't you?
JAN: Yes, but there has to be some other way! Killing Belle...
JAN 2: What? Have you suddenly gained a soft spot for Little Miss Perfect?
JAN: No. I mean, I don't necessarily like her. But I don't have any reason to hate her.
JAN 2: She has what we want.
JAN: What do you mean “we”?
JAN 2: We've been over this before, Jan. I'm you. And since there are two of us in here, I think “we” is a perfectly acceptable term.
JAN: Okay. What is it that we want, then?
JAN 2: Shawn.
JAN: Shawn? Why would we want Shawn?
JAN 2: We have always wanted Shawn.
JAN: I mean...I guess he's kinda cute.
JAN 2: He is more than kinda cute. Shawn is absolute perfection. He completes us. With him, we are whole.
JAN: But to kill someone? That just...it seems so wrong.
JAN 2: It wouldn't be the first time we've killed to get what we want.
JAN: What? What do you mean?
The other Jan grabbed Jan's hand.
JAN 2: Remember this?
Jan got a flash of memory (Click here and watch from the beginning until 1:08).
JAN: What...what the hell?
JAN 2: See? You've killed before.
JAN: But...that was that guy...that guy from one of my other memories.
JAN 2: The one who raped us.
Jan nodded.
JAN 2: He's not the only one. You've killed others, too.
JAN: I...I have?
JAN 2: Oh, yeah. Remember it.
The other Jan grabs Jan by the shoulder. Jan has two more flashes of memory. The first is of electrocuting Victor in a tub. The second is of when she killed her parents.
JAN 2: See? You've murdered before. At least four people. What's the harm in doing it again?

DIMERA MANSION
There was a knock at the door. Bart opened it.
BART: Well, if it isn't the girl in the blue.
HOPE: Out of the way, Bart. I need to speak with André.
BART: That's a no can do.
Hope pushed her way past Bart easily. She stormed into the main room, where André was teaching Johnny how to play chess.
HOPE: André.
André smiled and stood.
ANDRE: Acting Commissioner Brady, well, this is a surprise. Do come in, won't you?

I hope Jan can resist her other self.
