Cassie and Nicholas were on the dance floor.
NICHOLAS: Having a good time?
CASSIE: You know what, surprisingly, yeah, I am. When you first invited me, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this has been really nice.
NICHOLAS: I’m glad. The plan was for you to have a nice time.
CASSIE: Well, then your plan has certainly succeeded. And thank you for keeping your word about…you know…
NICHOLAS: Oh, of course. I try to always be a man of my word. Besides, it’s not that hard, with all these people around.
VIVIAN: What isn’t hard, darling?
Cassie and Nicholas stopped dancing, and turned to see Vivian and Ivan behind them.

MEDBH: Okay, explain again what the big deal about the Alamain family is. I mean, I know they own a micronation in central Europe, and the current ruler of it is here, but apart from that…
CLAIRE: The Alamains are a very powerful family.
CHASE: And some, not all, but some of them are known for being a bit underhanded. The fact that this Winston character used to work for them before he came to work for Greta doesn’t bode well.
CLAIRE: Not all of them are bad, though. Ciara’s girlfriend Trix is an Alamain, for example. We just have to hope that the Alamains Winston worked for were some of the good ones.
KATALIN: They weren’t.
Katalin and Emmaline walked over.
MEDBH: Kat!
Medbh threw her arms around Katalin.
KATALIN: Medbh, my darling! You have no idea about the day I’ve been having.
CLAIRE: Guys, what’s going on?
EMMALINE: A lot.
Katalin and Emmaline began telling Claire, Chase and Medbh about their experience with Winston.

Billie and John escorted Winston outside of the Palace, with Sebastian following closely behind. A helicopter had landed nearby. As they approached, Assistant Director Paula von Dyne stepped out of the helicopter.
JOHN: I’ve just gone one question before I hand you over, who were you working for?
WINSTON: Pardon?
JOHN: You said there was a person, a man who told you the truth about your parentage, who helped restore your memories of who you really are, and that all he asked in return is that you complete some tasks for him. Who was he?
WINSTON: What does it matter now?
BILLIE: You never know, it could matter a great deal. You tell us who you were working for, you might get a more lenient sentence.
Winston considered this for a moment, he chuckled to himself and shook his head.
JOHN: Come on. You might as well tell us. What more have you got to lose?
Winston sighed.
WINSTON: All right, fine. I’ll tell you. It was-
Suddenly, Winston stopped walking and made a choking noise. John and Billie looked and saw that a dart had been thrown into his neck. Winston keeled over. John knelt down and felt for a pulse. It was too late. The dart had killed him instantly.
JOHN: Dammit!
SEBASTIAN: It came from somewhere in the Palace!
JOHN: Billie, you and Sebastian look for the shooter. von Dyne and I will take care of this.
BILLIE: On it!
Billie and Sebastian drew their weapons and headed back into the Palace.

Ooh, I can't wait to see this confrontation with Vivian.

I wonder how Claire will react to the news about Winston.

Ooh I wonder who shot Winston!

I'm glad Winston was stopped.

I had a feeling they wouldn't get that information out of Winston. I'm pretty sure it was the Dimeras behind it though.

I sure hope whoever is in the palace doesn't try to harm the girls.

PALACE VON AMBERG
John sighed as he and Assistant Director Paula von Dyne watched two ISA agents load Winston’s body into the helicopter.
JOHN (to himself): It didn’t have to be this way.
PAULA: No, indeed
She cleared her throat.
PAULA: I am sorry for your loss, John.
John nodded.
JOHN: I appreciate the sympathies, Assistant Director, but I think the girls are the ones who’ll need them most.
PAULA: Yes. The father they thought was dead for years turns up alive, but he’s become a criminal whom they helped bring down…only for him to be killed on his way into custody.
JOHN: At this point, I’m not sure whether the news would be better coming from me or Greta.
PAULA: Looks like we’re in for an evening of tough conversations.
JOHN: That’s a fact.
One of the agents walked over.
AGENT: Ready for transport, ma’am.
PAULA: Thank you, Agent Slater. I’ll be there in a moment.
Agent Slater nodded and went back into the helicopter. Both Paula and John sighed deeply.
PAULA: I trust that you, Agent Reed and Agent Alamain have this all under control.
JOHN: Yep, we can take it from here. Thanks for coming so quickly.
PAULA: Of course. And again, I am sorry.
John and Paula saluted each other and Paula went into the helicopter. John watched as the helicopter took off. Billie and Sebastian joined him a moment later.
BILLIE: We lost him.
SEBASTIAN: We’ve searched the whole palace, and there’s no sign of him. He got away quickly.
JOHN: Well, one way or another, we’re gonna find this guy, and I have a pretty good idea of where to start. But, before we do any of that, there are some other matters to attend to.

CLAIRE: Oh my gosh! That’s crazy!
Katalin and Emmaline had just finished telling her, Chase and Medbh about what happened with Winston.
MEDBH: But if your da really is back, what’s that mean for the two of you?
EMMALINE: Hopefully nothing, apart from the fact that we’ve spent most of our lives fatherless for no reason.
KATALIN: Grandfather and his friends captured him. He says they’re taking him to a facility to get help.
CHASE: I hope they can help him.
EMMALINE: Us too. He wasn’t anything like he was when we were children.
CLAIRE: I am sorry you guys are having to go through this!
KATALIN: Thank you. On a slightly unrelated note, I’ve just realised, we’ve the same grandfather, Claire.
EMMALINE: Our father, like Auntie Greta, was the product of an affair between Princess Gina and John.
CLAIRE: That’s a good point, actually. I guess this makes us cousins.
KATALIN: That it does.
Greta walked over, looking somber. She cleared her throat.
GRETA: Hi, girls. I’m sorry to interrupt.
EMMALINE: You’re good. Is it papa? Has grandfather taken him in?
GRETA: I think you two should come with me. There are some things we and your grandfather need to discuss. Medbh, you might want to come, too.
KATALIN: Right.
Looking unsure of where this was going, Katalin, Emmaline and Medbh followed Greta, leaving Claire and Chase looking confused.
CHASE: What do you suppose that was about?
CLAIRE: No idea, but it didn’t sound good.

John loses yet another son I mean first it was Carter and then Winston/Michael on top of that. I mean the only children he has left are the real Brady of course and then Greta and Belle but still John he has new grandchildren that he can form a relationship with, that being Katalin and Emmaline

I don't think we've seen the last of Winston.

I'm glad John was sensitive to how much of a loss this would be for the girls.

I'm glad that Claire realizes that her lookalike is her cousin. Hopefully they can all support each other through this.

I don't think Winston was really killed. I think there's a lot more going on here.

I do feel bad for John and the girls tho. Even tho they didn't really know him as their son/dad, it's still a big loss after just finding out about him.
