Marion and Warren I still say they are not Carter's biological parents and that they adopted him. I still say Carter's real parents his biological parents are John and Isabella and that Brady and Carter were twins but that it was an illegal black market adoption.

But besides the funeral I feel the most for Tate and Theresa.

Brady is having a reunion with Chloe I'm sure

John will learn all about the fact that Carter was adopted but I bet John finds out Carter really was his son and that Isabella was Carter's mother too

Sydney and Silver I still say friendship needs to end given the one sided feelings on Silver's part and Sydney not returning those feelings

Monday - 9/27

CHEZ ROUGE
After the funeral, there was a reception held at Chez Rouge. Maggie had closed off the large dining area in the back for the reception. The food was laid out buffet style, so people could eat or mill around, as they preferred. Philip, who had been sitting down, stood up when he saw Melanie approach and pulled out a chair for her. She sat down, and he kissed the top of her head.
MELANIE: Thanks.
PHILIP: Of course. How’s Dani doing with your mom?
MELANIE: She’s good. They both are.
PHILIP: Good. How are you?
MELANIE: I’m okay. The service helped.
PHILIP: Yeah, Dad, Maggie, John and Theresa did a nice job putting it together.
Melanie nodded.
MELANIE: Thanks for what you said earlier.
PHILIP: I meant every word of it. We may not have been each other’s biggest fans, but we were getting closer.
MELANIE: I know.
Philip took Melanie’s hand and kissed it.
THERESA: Thanks for coming, both of you. Yes, even you, J.J.
PAIGE: Of course we did.
J.J.: I’m sorry for your loss.
THERESA: Thanks.
PAIGE: Hey, if you ever need anything, call me anytime, okay?
THERESA: You might regret saying that, ‘cause I probably will.
Paige and Theresa hugged.
CLAIRE: Are you sure there’s nothing I can get you?
BELLE: Sweetheart, I’m fine. You don’t need to worry about me.
CLAIRE: I know, but I want to help.
BELLE: That’s very sweet of you, but I will be okay. If I’m not, I’ll be sure to let you and your dad know, okay?
CLAIRE: Okay.
Claire walked away. Belle and Shawn-D sighed.
SHAWN-D: How are you doing, really?
BELLE: I don’t know. This whole last month has just been crazy. Finding out that Brady’s been missing for years, only to have the person we thought was Brady die shortly after…
SHAWN-D: It’s a lot.
Belle nodded.
BELLE: And then on top of that, it’s the way it happened. I know Dad says the coroner’s report showed it was natural causes, but something just isn’t adding up. I mean, what was he even doing on the beach that night, anyway?
SHAWN-D: That’s a good question.
BELLE: And one that I intend to find an answer to. But, not right now. Now it’s time to celebrate the good times he and I had together.
Shawn-D nodded, and he and Belle hugged. Marion and Warren shook hands with John.
MARION: Thank you, Agent Black, for getting in touch with us.
JOHN: No problem. I’m just sorry that it didn’t happen while Carter was still alive.
MARION: So are we.
Warren nodded.
MARION: Thank you as well for taking care of him. You and the folks ‘round here seem like good people.
JOHN: Thank you, I appreciate that. He was a good man.
WARREN: That he was.
MARION: I wish you’d gotten to know him before all this. He had such a bright future ahead of him.
JOHN: I’m sorry to have to ask this, but you don’t know if he had any enemies, do you?
WARREN: None that we can think of.
MARION: Not at all! Carter was always doing things to help out the community. Don’t know of anyone that didn’t like him. He even had a spot on an up and coming committee in town.
John raised an eyebrow.
JOHN: I’m sorry, what did you just say?

So Carter was a part of this Committee also? It makes more sense now if you think about it so that basically means his death was no accident or it was just designed to look that way given what Warren and Marion just said that John managed to pick up on

Belle is obviously grieving for a brother who she lost...but that brother was not Brady...the real Brady is still alive so in essence Belle has a second chance with the real Brady to reform a relationship

I think it is great that Claire wants to be there for her mother but given the fact that Carter was not her uncle...I mean Claire no doubt has to be grieving right now

Loved Theresa's niece Paige being at the funeral...loved that both she and JJ were here for Paige's Aunt Theresa

Philip and Melanie both grieving for Carter...makes sense well in Melanie's case considering she and Carter were best friends but in Philip's case he and Carter were not the best of friends but were getting closer but Philip has a second chance with his nephew the real Brady that is

This was a beautiful reception.

I'm glad Philip acknowledged the past and how they were getting past their differences.

Theresa made me laugh with her comment to JJ.

This has to be so hard for Belle.

Hmm... interesting. I wonder where this new info will lead.

CHEZ ROUGE
JOHN: What kind of committee did you say Carter was part of?
MARION: I didn’t, because I don’t know.
WARREN: Carter was very secretive about the whole thing. It was about the only thing he was secretive about. He joined, and then pretty soon, he was spending all his time with them.
JOHN: How long before he disappeared did Carter join this committee?
Marion and Warren looked at each other, confused, then back to John.
MARION: Only a few months, I think. Is it important?
JOHN: I have a feeling that it might be very important. Listen, I don’t want to take up any more of your time on today of all days. How long are you two going to be in town?
MARION: Only another day or so, we’re heading back to Pennsylvania on Monday.
John pulled a card out of his suit coat pocket and handed it to Marion.
JOHN: I’d like you to meet me at this address tomorrow. There’s something we should discuss.
MARION: Black Patch?
JOHN: It’s a private investigation firm I co-own. I have a few questions I’d like to ask you, but not here and now. Stop by tomorrow, and we’ll talk.
MARION; I don’t know how much more we can tell you, but we’ll do our best.
JOHN: That’s all I ask. Thank you.
VICTOR: I must say, you’ve put together a nice gathering, my dear.
MAGGIE: Thank you. I tried to take a few suggestions from you, John and Theresa and put them all together.
VICTOR: That you have.
PHILIP: That song you performed, it was beautiful.
MELANIE: It really was.
CHLOE: Thank you. How are you guys doing?
MELANIE: Hanging in there. You know, things are a little strange right now, but we’re doing the best we can.
CHLOE: That makes sense. I hear you two have a child now.
PHILIP: Yeah, a little girl. Danielle, Dani for short.
Melanie showed Chloe a picture of them with Dani.
CHLOE: She’s adorable.
MELANIE: Thanks.
PHILIP: Just out of curiosity, have you seen...him yet?
CHLOE: No, I just got in late last night. But, I’m here for another day or two, so I very well might.
PHILIP: When and if you do, brace yourself. It’s an interesting experience, having known both of them.
CHLOE: I will keep that in mind.

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Later on, after the reception had ended, everyone went home. Eve had come with Theresa.
THERESA: You know, this really isn’t necessary. I don’t need a babysitter.
EVE: You think I don’t know that? If you think that’s the only reason I came, then you must not know me very well.
Theresa sighed.
THERESA: Look, it’s not that I’m not grateful you’re here or anything. All of you guys, Dad, Andrew, even Mom, you guys have been great. I just...I don’t know.
EVE: I think you do, you’re just not saying it.
THERESA: I am trying so hard to be okay here.
EVE: Theresa, nobody expects you to be okay. You just lost the man that you love. No matter who he was, or what anyone says or thinks about him, he was the man you loved.
THERESA: I know! I know, but I have Tate to think of. Yeah, I lost the man I love, but he just lost his father. I can’t even imagine the pain that he’s going through. I need to be okay for him. When he, Mom and Dad first got here, I kept it together until Dad and I were in private, but since then, I’ve been keeping it together 24/7.
EVE: But you don’t have to right now. Look, Dad and Kim have Tate for the night. So you just feel however you need to feel tonight, okay?
Theresa took a shaky breath and nodded.
THERESA: The thing is, I’m feeling so much that I don’t even know if I can put it all into words. Part of me is furious at John and Victor for believing all of those lies that that creep who claims to be Brady told. Part of me is sad for Tate, because he’s so young and will have to grow up without a father, especially after all of the time he lost with both of us when we were under André’s control. Part of me is confused because even though I think I know how this happened, I have no idea why. But more than anything, I miss him. So, so much.
Eve put her arms around Theresa and held her little sister.

Loved Eve showing up all be it last minute but at least Eve showed up so I got to give her that. Eve is being a good sister to Theresa and that wasn't always the case but definitely like seeing both of Shane's daughters interacting here.

Theresa has to raise her son as a single mother now. It is not going to be easy but she not only has her son but she has her parents, her sister, her brother and her niece to help her but she has a whole family of Bradys to be here to support her.

John he has got to be suspicious of them. I know I would be.

Chloe will end up face to face with her ex husband, the real Brady and I can't wait

Nice to see Eve supporting her sister.

It sounds like Carter went into this knowingly, but then he was brainwashed as part of the scheme. The question is, why? Why trade places with Brady of all people? To get to John perhaps?
