Yeah I can't wait to see how Tommy explains this. I mean he has been gone from Salem for almost 4 decades and didn't come back for any important events. Nothing could tear him away to come back but then when Victor comes calling, he all of a sudden comes back just out of the blue. Something tells me that either money was involved or something else had to have been involved because Tommy could not even be bothered with his own family and now he wants to come back and be a family man. I'm not buying it.

Aiden has no idea that Gina is dangerous or that Andre is behind this as well as Rolf.

I'm sooooo glad that Aiden figured this out. By him constantly saying Hope's name, I'm wondering if he may be on to more of the scheme than realized.

So Alanis is coming clean about Maddox....well, seems to be. I wonder if she's going to tell the full truth this time.

That could prove to be really disastrous for Aiden if that is the case because he has no idea who he's really dealing with. He doesn't know the history behind Princess Gina or that Hope has some missing years as Princess Gina. Or is he aware of Hope/Gina's history with the Pawn that of course being John Black or Hope/Gina's history with Stefano DiMera? If he doesn't then he should know what the DiMeras are capable of given that Aiden worked for Stefano didn't he not?

SALEM UNIVERSITY
CLAIRE: So...Maddox isn’t your boyfriend?
ALANIS: Nope. I wanted him to be. For years, I’ve wanted him to be, but he’s not. He’s my best friend, has been since we were little kids. But he doesn’t love me. He says he can’t, not the way I want him to, whatever that means.
Alanis sighed.
ALANIS: He lets me pretend he’s my boyfriend, though, sometimes. We’re never intimate or anything, but we like to hang out.
CLAIRE: I see.
ALANIS: Claire, if I tell you something, can it just stay between us? Us and Mads. He’s the only other person who knows this, besides my family.
CLAIRE: Sure. Of course you can.
ALANIS: That song I played wasn’t just because I like it. Sometimes, I feel like I really might be crazy.
CLAIRE: Why do you feel like that?
ALANIS: Because I sometimes remember things the wrong way, or get things mixed up. Sometimes I have a really hard time concentrating. Sometimes I’m super happy, and then sometimes, like today, not so much. And even when I am happy, it’s like my mind is racing and I’m just always ready to go. Basically, I’m bipolar.

MARTIN MANSION
TOMMY: You have no idea how hard that was for me.
BILL: Oh, please. It was hard for all of us! But we stuck together through Dad’s death, then Mickey’s, then Mom’s.
TOMMY: Let me finish, will you? You wanted to know why I stayed away for so long, well, I’ll tell you. Just give me a moment. But first, let me ask you this: do you really think I wouldn’t have come if I’d had a choice?
BILL: There’s always a choice.
TOMMY: Not for me, there wasn’t.
BILL: Oh? And why is that?
TOMMY: I didn’t come home because I couldn’t!
BILL: Why? We were all having a hard time with their deaths. What was so hard that you felt you couldn’t come back?
TOMMY: I was in jail!
Dougm Julie and Marie walked in at that moment.

HOPE & AIDEN’S HOUSE
Princess Gina turned away from Aiden.
GINA: How long have you known?
AIDEN: I’ve suspected it for a long time. It’s been a while now. Halloween is what really tipped me off. As if Hope would ever dress as the woman who made her life a living hell.
GINA: Well, aren’t you terribly clever.
AIDEN: Thing is, I needed to be sure, absolutely sure. So, I got in touch with some mutual friends of ours, and they confirmed it.
GINA: I see.
Princess Gina sighed.
GINA: I really wish you hadn’t found out this way. You would have been a good subject. This makes things so much harder.
She turned back around to face Aiden, pulling out a gun as she did.

HORTON CENTER
Eric was putting on his coat, getting ready to go outside and watch the fireworks. He made sure his computer was turned off, and as he was on his way to the door, he heard a knocking sound.
ERIC: Just a second.
Eric opened the door and saw a familiar face. He smiled and gave an exaggerated bow.
ERIC: Your Royal Highness.
Greta playfully smacked Eric’s shoulder.
GRETA: Oh, don’t you start. I get enough of that back in Europe. Over there, I’m Princess Greta Von Amburg. Here, I’m just…
ERIC: Greta.
Eric and Greta laughed and hugged.
ERIC: It’s wonderful to see you, Greta!
GRETA: You too!
ERIC: But, what are you doing back in Salem?
GRETA: A few things, actually. First of all, I wanted to see you. Second, I wanted to find my parents.

Now it all makes sense why Tommy hasn't been home in decades...it all makes sense because he was in prison and that is why he hasn't been home for any important events like weddings or funerals. So it begs the question of why he went to prison? I think he went in for murder and that is why he would be gone for decades.

The reason why no one would know Tommy went to prison is because he maybe couldn't live with the shame or the embarrassment. I think Tom Sr and Alice they knew and Tommy swore them to secrecy.

I told you Aiden would be in danger from Princess Gina. She has a gun on him.

Greta Von Amburg is back in Salem and who does she run into first? Her ex Eric Brady...happy coincidence I think not. Greta is back because she wants to find her parents but something tells me her parents will turn out to be the real Hope Brady and John Black. Or Greta will turn out to be a DiMera with her parents being Stefano and Hope.

Alanis needs to see a doctor. She might be mildly bipolar, it might be something else. Either way, finding out and getting help would be the first step. I wonder why Maddox pretends to be her boyfriend sometimes.

I hope Aiden was prepared for what could happen if he confronted Princess Gina.

I can't wait to learn Tommy's story.

Greta running into Eric is no coincidence. I wonder what she's up to.

I'm excited to see who returns and what 2019 brings! Sounds like Nicole and Daniel are getting married!

I agree that Alanis needs to get to a doctor. There is definitely something going on that needs attention quickly.

I want to know who "confirmed" this to Aiden in regards to Hope being Princess Gina, but at the same time, I don't want all of them unknowingly put at risk. I'm wondering/hoping Aiden had a plan in place before just confronting Gina.

If Alanis has bipolar disorder she needs to be checked into a psychiatric facility

Aiden thinks he has a plan but honestly Gina isn't stupid which is why she probably came prepared hence the gun so she's 2 steps ahead

As for who could have confirmed it to Aiden...perhaps it was Andre

Tommy was in prison but since Julie just found out...I wonder if she will press her uncle about the details?

SALEM UNIVERSITY
CLAIRE: That doesn’t necessarily mean you’re crazy. I mean, I understand that you feel that way sometimes, I can’t even imagine how that must feel, but you’re not crazy.
Alanis shrugged.
CLAIRE: When did you find out?
ALANIS: When I was in middle school. I’d always had kind of extreme emotions, but it got worse in middle school. That’s when the manic phases started. Mads was always great with me, whether I was in a manic phase or a down phase.
CLAIRE: What happened between you two?

MARTIN MANSION
MARIE: Well, I was about to say that we should be getting ready for the fireworks, but it appears we walked in on something you shouldn’t have.
TOMMY: No, it’s fine. As long as you’re all here, you should all hear the truth.
JULIE: Uncle Tommy, were you really in jail all that time?
TOMMY: I’m sorry to say that I was.
BILL: How did we not know about this?
TOMMY: No one knew except for me, Mom and Dad, and neither of them were going to say anything.
JULIE: What happened?
TOMMY: It’s a long story. But, I suppose I might as well tell you, now that the secret’s out.

HOPE & AIDEN’S HOUSE
AIDEN: You’re not really gonna shoot me.
GINA: Oh, aren’t I?
AIDEN: Nope.
GINA: And just how did you come to that conclusion?
AIDEN: A couple reasons. One, because I know that the real Princess Gina is dead. Oh, yes, I know all about that. You see, Hope and I tell each other everything. She told me about Gina years ago. Which means that I am speaking to the real Hope, who has been made to think that she’s Gina once more.
Aiden walked towards Princess Gina. She pointed the gun in his direction.
GINA: Take one more step and I will shoot.
AIDEN: Go ahead. Make my day.
Princess Gina tightened her grip on the gun.
AIDEN: But you won’t. Because the real Hope is still in there somewhere. And if you can hear me, Commissioner Brady, I will do whatever it takes to get you back!
GINA: A charming sentiment. But completely pointless, I’m afraid.
AIDEN: See, you keep threatening to shoot me but you haven’t yet.
GINA: Are you asking to be shot?
AIDEN: Of course not. By the way, you’ve got something on your shirt.
Princess Gina raised an eyebrow, but looked down. She saw several red dots on her shirt. Ciara came down the stairs.
CIARA: I’m gonna go meet Trix at the Square for the firew-oh my god! What’s going on here?

HORTON CENTER
ERIC: Your parents?
GRETA: That’s what I said.
ERIC: So, you know who your father is, then?
GRETA: I’ve known for a long time. I only now decided to come back because I’d heard rumors about my mother.
ERIC: Your mother? You mean Princess Gina is alive?
GRETA: No, my mother is dead. She died the night she almost married Bo. I’m sorry to hear about what happened to him, by the way.
Eric nodded.
GRETA: Anyway, the real Princess Gina is dead, which means that these rumors can only mean one thing. Someone has brainwashed Hope again.

Wow! So much going on. The showdown with Gina and Aiden is wild.

I am interested to find out why Tommy was in prison.

How is Aiden so sure that Hope won't try to kill him? This is not Hope...she is being brainwashed which means she is being programmed into being Gina and knowing that the DiMeras are behind it, they probably went to a great deal or to a lot of trouble to cover their tracks as far as this brainwashing is concerned. Hope's memories of being Hope are probably somewhere either stored on a flash drive or on a disk of some kind meaning Hope she would have no memories whatsoever of being Hope because all she would remember is being Princess Gina which means she would have no memory of her family, friends or anyone really especially if she is Princess Gina again which means she is following the DiMeras' orders.

I too wonder what Tommy went to jail for that landed him in there for decades. I mean did he kill someone or something? Or what exactly happened? I wonder if Tommy's daughters if they even know that their father was in prison? If they do then either Addie or Sandy knows what really happened

So Greta knows who her father is...I wonder if it means her father is in Salem right now? Or is her father alive or dead? Something tells me that Greta is either a long lost DiMera...either her father is Stefano or Andre or her father turns out to be John Black but if that happens then that means Greta she would be Brady, Belle and Paul's half-sister but if Greta turns out to be Stefano's daughter then that means she is entitled to her share of the DiMera pie if that is the case just like how if she turns out to be Andre's daughter then that makes her Stefano's granddaughter could you imagine?

Chapter 608

MARTIN MANSION
TOMMY: It was when I was working in California. Back when I was with Helen, Addie’s mother. I was working at a hospital out there, and things were going well. Until, one day, I had a patient tell me that he wanted to die. Whether he wanted to or not, he was going to soon. He had cancer that was spreading from his liver, and it was in its end stages. I tried my best to make him comfortable, but he wanted more. I consulted a handful of my fellow doctors. One of them said that he could help me to help this patient, as long as I didn’t ask too many questions. He said that he knew what he was doing, and had been doing it for years. At the time, I didn’t know who I was dealing with. He gave me a way to help my patient die. Turns out he was a copycat of that Kevorkian doctor from years ago. After that, he kept coming back. Every now and then, he would ask for my assistance with a patient. He swore me to secrecy. Threatened to kill me if I said anything, and he had the tools to do so. I knew that what we were doing was wrong. I should have turned myself in years before I did. But, eventually, it became too much. At first, it was just to help patients who were close to death, but soon, this man began blurring the lines between terminal and not. When he wanted me to help him kill a patient who wasn’t terminal, I knew things had gone too far. So, I turned myself in. The only thing I asked was that my name be kept out of the press. For cooperating fully, as well as telling the authorities everything I knew, I was sentenced to twenty years behind bars and my medical license taken away. It was far less than I deserved.
JULIE: My god…
TOMMY: About ten years into my sentence, it was revealed that I was a doctor. It seems the prison doctor was unwell, and they needed a substitute. So, as long as I was observed by an armed guard at all times, I could assist while the prison doctor was on leave. They even allowed me to study medicine, though I had no hope of ever regaining my license. It seemed, however, that God had other plans for me. One of my fellow inmates had been in an altercation and ended up with a stab wound which was seriously infected. I was on duty that evening, and I healed him. It was a complete success. The man asked my name and said that he would look out for me once he got out. His sentence was almost over, you see. And he did. It turns out that the man I healed was an associate of Victor Kiriakis. I do not recall his last name, but his first name was Nico. Nico seemed to believe that he owed me a debt. Shortly after he got out, I was visited by Victor Kiriakis. He thanked me for healing Nico, and promised that he would find a way to allow me to practice medicine again, once my sentence was ended. And he kept his word. Upon my release, I was given two years probation, but after that, I received my medical license again. By the time I got out, both Mom and Dad were dead, and I didn’t feel comfortable coming back to Salem immediately. I moved out to California, and found a place in a fellowship headed by Scotty. One of the other fellows was my own daughter. I hadn’t seen Addie since she was nearly five years old, but there was no mistaking her once I saw her. So, we reconnected and began working together. Then, three years ago, I received a call that Victor’s son had a brain tumor and he wanted me to see what I could do to help him. I figured that I needed to pay back Victor after he had pulled so many strings to get me my job back. So, Scotty, Addie and I came up here.
BILL: It all makes sense now. Why you never returned any of mine or Marie’s calls. Why you didn’t show up at any family events. Mom said that she had spoken to you and that you were doing fine, but I had thought you had forgotten us, or that you wanted to distance yourself from.
TOMMY; Never. That was the last thing I wanted. If I could go back and redo things, I would have turned away that insane doctor when he even hinted at suggesting what we did. I was ashamed of what I had done. I felt that I couldn’t be part of the family after everything I had done, that I had failed Mom and Dad.

HOPE & AIDEN’S HOUSE
AIDEN: Ciara, go quickly.
CIARA: What’s going on here? Mom, why are you pointing a gun at Aiden? And why are their red lights on your clothes?
AIDEN: This isn’t your mother, though she does look exactly like her. Just go, quickly.
CIARA: No, not until someone tells me what’s going on!
GINA: So, you want to know the truth, child? That is a very dangerous request.
CIARA: Mom...why do you have a vaguely European accent?
AIDEN: Ciara, that is not your mother. I’ll explain later, but her name is Princess Gina. Now go, be with Trix and your friends.
GINA: Oh, Aiden, I truly wish you hadn’t exposed me to her.
She shook her head.
GINA: Such a pity. She seems such a lovely young lady. Not as lovely as my Greta, of course, but she has potential.
Princess Gina whipped around and shot Ciara.
AIDEN: Ciara!
Aiden ran to Ciara and caught her as she fell. The bullet had hit her in the side. Aiden grabbed the handkerchief from his pocket and put it over the wound.
AIDEN: Hang on, Ciara!
A second shot rang out. Aiden turned to see Princess Gina lying on the floor with a dart in her neck. Steve and John ran through the front door.
JOHN: Call an ambulance!
Aiden kept one hand on the handkerchief over Ciara’s wound, and with the other, pulled out his cell phone.
AIDEN: This is Aiden Jennings. I need an ambulance at 907 Copper Lantern Drive. Young woman with a gunshot to the side. She’s my step-daughter.
Steve and John observed Princess Gina, who had been knocked out by the dart.
JOHN: Thank goodness those stun darts actually work.
STEVE: So, looks like Aiden and Jen’s suspicions were right, partner.
JOHN: That’s a fact. Princess Gina is back.
