Chapter 45

S.S. BO BRADY
BELLE: Sweetheart, I don't want to scare you, but didn't you hear about the pirates?
CLAIRE: Pirates? What pirates?
SHAWN-D: A group of them got onboard the ship.
CLAIRE: Oh my gosh! Is everyone okay? Where's Chase?
BELLE: Chase is fine. Everyone's fine. Mostly.
CLAIRE: What do you mean “mostly”?
SHAWN-D: One of the pirates...tried to kidnap you.
CLAIRE: What?
BELLE: But, we didn't let them. We got you back.
CLAIRE: Is that why I feel like this? Like my memory's all fuzzy?
SHAWN-D: Probably. They gave you some kind of sedative, we don't know what kind.
Claire took a deep breath. Belle gently rubbed Claire's back.
BELLE: It's okay, sweetie. It's all over now. You're safe. We're never gonna let anything happen to you again.
ABE: There's only one pirate left on the ship.
J.J.: That we know of. Who's to say that some of the others haven't snuck onto the ship by now? Guys, I know that this situation doesn't look good. But, we cannot just sit here and wait until they find us. They kidnapped Hope, Uncle Steve and Alexander. They tried to kidnap Claire. We need to stop them before they can get any more of us. We need to fight back!
Daniel stepped up.
DANIEL: I agree.
ABE: So do I. So, what do you suggest?
J.J.: They have weapons. We need to, as well. We have to be ready for a fight.
HOPE: I don't think that will be necessary.
Everyone turned as Hope and Steve walked in with André in cuffs. Alexander followed closely behind carrying the still unconcious Maria.
MARLENA: André!
ANDRE: No, it's Tony.
JOHN: Prove it!
ANDRE: I will. As soon as I possibly can.
HOPE: And how exactly do you plan to do that?
ANDRE: Bring Roman to me. Let me shake his hand. André would never voluntarily shake the hand of a Brady.
JOHN: I'm sorry to say, Roman's dead.
ANDRE: Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that.
STEVE: Sure you are.
ANDRE: I am. Marlena, you have my deepest condolences.
Sami and Johnny came to the front of the group.
JOHNNY: Uncle André?
ANDRE: Oh, this must be young Johnny. He's certainly grown since the last time I've seen him. I'm sorry, my boy, but I am your Uncle Tony.
SAMI: You're not Tony! Tony's dead!
ANDRE: But, I'm not. After all, if I were André, I would never have allowed myself to be handcuffed. I would have killed you all the moment I saw you.
MARLENA: Not necessarily. You could be biding your time, trying to lure us into a false sense of security.
ANDRE: Tell me what I can do to convince you. Name your price. Anything at all, and I'll do it.
Meanwhile, deep in the bottom decks of the ship, Richard and Pete were making their way through the ship.
RICHARD: You sure this is the right way?
PETE: Of course. Soon, we'll find them and take them down.

Uh oh. Looks like the gang might have to give Andre/Tony the benefit of the doubt so he can help them defeat the pirates.

Glad Claire is okay and JJ is ready to lead the fight.

I'm so glad that no one is instantly buying that this is Tony. All of his "proof" he's offered so far has been a weak attempt.

Chapter 46

Daniel stepped forward.
DANIEL: I have a suggestion, if I may.
ANDRE: I'm sorry, do we know each other?
DANIEL: Not formally, though I have heard of both Tony and André. Dr. Daniel Jonas.
ANDRE: All right, Dr. Jonas, what's your suggestion?
DANIEL: Simple, really. A blood test. Everyone's blood has a specfic signature that's embedded in their D.N.A. If you agree to a blood test, then we'll find out for certain whether you're really Tony, as you say you are, or André.
SAMI: Daniel, blood tests are easy to fake. I mean, after all, I should know.
DANIEL: I'll run the test myself. Nobody will be allowed in until I say so. The only people in the room when I run the test will be myself, Hope and this man, whichever of Stefano's sons he is.
HOPE: Sounds fair.
André nodded.
ANDRE: It it's the only way I can convince you that I am, indeed, Tony, then so be it.
DANIEL: Good. Let's get that going, shall we?
Daniel and Hope led André to the medical bay. Meanwhile, Pete and Richard continued making their way up the decks of the ship.
RICHARD: He's still on the ship, isn't he?
PETE: Of course he is. He wouldn't have left his post.
They walked further down the corridor, and saw a body lying on the floor. The walked over to it and saw that it was Gregor.
RICHARD: Bloody hell.
PETE: Shut up. Check his pulse.
Richard knelt down and felt for a pulse. There was one, but it was slow.
PETE: Well?
RICHARD: He's still alive. Likely got a head injury.
PETE: And, of course, the lady doctor and the teen girl are nowhere to be seen.
RICHARD: You thinking they did this to him?
PETE: Well, he didn't do it to himself, genius.
Richard nodded.
RICHARD: So, what do we do?
PETE: First, we figure out a way to wake him up. Then, we find out if Maria is still alive or not.
RICHARD: Maria? You seriously still want to follow her?
PETE: She's our captain, mate. Whether we like it or not, she owes our lives to her.
RICHARD: All right. So, then what?
PETE: Then, we make everyone on the ship pay.
A short while later, Hope, Steve, Marlena, John, Daniel and André had gathered in the medical bay.
DANIEL: I have the results.
STEVE: What do they say?
Daniel pulled out an envelope.
DANIEL: I haven't opened them yet. I thought that we might all do that together.
MARLENA: Well, the sooner we figure out who this is, the better.
JOHN: I agree. So, let's hear it.
Daniel opened the folder and pulled out a sheet of paper. He looked it over.
HOPE: Daniel?
DANIEL: See for yourself.
He handed the paper over to Hope, who looked at it.
HOPE: I don't believe it!

I wonder what the test results say and whose sample he used to compare the blood against. Wondering if Andre/Tony might actually be Jade's babydaddy.

Yay! Test results that actually haven't been contaminated. Looking forward to seeing what they say.

I'm a bit concerned about what Pete and Richard may do.

Chapter 47

STEVE: Don't believe what?
Hope handed the paper to Steve.
STEVE: No way.
Steve handed the paper to John and Marlena. Marlena gasped.
JOHN: So, it is you.
MARLENA: Tony.
Tony smiled.
TONY: Hello, Marlena. It's so good to see you again.
Hope took off the cuffs.
HOPE: Thank you for helping us with the pirates.
TONY: Not a problem. Speaking of which, where is the captain?
STEVE: Abe and Justin are dealing with her.
TONY: Good. I'm certain that they will find a suitable punishment for her.
MARLENA: I, for one, am glad to know that it's you. The real you.
TONY: I'm glad of it, as well, Marlena. You have no idea how long it's been that André has been impersonating me, or trying to keep me out of the way.
HOPE: There's still one thing that puzzles me.
TONY: And what would that be?
HOPE: When André came back to Salem a little over a year ago, he didn't try to hide his identity. He didn't claim he was you, in fact he paraded around town that he was André. Why would he do that?
TONY: I've no idea. I don't know what goes on in my cousin's twisted mind. Perhaps he wanted to keep up the charade that I was dead.
JOHN: Brother.
TONY: What?
MARLENA: When André came back, he gave us proof that he's Stefano's biological son. So, you and he are step brothers.
TONY: Oh, good lord.
STEVE: It was quite a shock to all of us.
TONY: I imagine so. Still, at least we're rid of him, for now. So, am I free to go?
HOPE: Certainly. It's good to have you back, Tony. The real you.
TONY: Oh, thank you, Hope. It's good to be back.
Abe and Justin had escourted Maria down to the ship's brig.
MARIA: You'll never get away with this.
JUSTIN: I wouldn't be too sure of that, if I were you.
MARIA: Like I said, Salem has not jurisdiction here. On the waves, the only rule is that of the sea. But, I'll make you a deal.
ABE: You're facing charges of piracy, conspiracy to kidnapping and conspiracy to murder. I don't really think you're in any position to be making deals.
MARIA: If you let me out, I won't kill you or your immediate family until last.
JUSTIN: Well, that instills me with so much confidence. Nice try, but we're not gonna bite.
Justin and Abe closed the doors on the cell of the brig.
MARIA: You will regret this! Mark my words!
JUSTIN: We'll see about that. Have a nice journey.
Abe and Justin turned and walked away. Later, Tony was down in the lower decks of the ship. He looked around to make sure that nobody was watching. Then, he pulled a vial from his shirt pocket. The vial was half full of blood. He gave the vial a small kiss.
TONY: I knew you'd come in handy.
On the vial was a label that read “Antony DiMera”. André DiMera smiled as he put the vial away.
ANDRE: And the best part is, they won't figure it out until it's too late.

I had a feeling. That was just too easy .

I'm worried about what Pete and Richard are up to. We haven't seen them in awhile.

I had a feeling that Andre was up to his old tricks. How did Daniel just automatically have the comparison to know if it was really Andre or Tony?

Dang it I was so hoping it was Tony! Hope they figure it out sooner rather than later.
