Chapter 313 SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Tommy was in Victor's hospital room. He was looking over some papers. Maggie was sitting in a chair next to the bed. TOMMY: Well, your vitals are all normal. As I said yesterday, you are remarkably lucky for a man that was just shot two days ago. In fact, I see no reason why you shouldn't gone home, so I'll have one of the nurses draw up your discharge papers. We should have you released in an hour. MAGGIE: Oh, thank God! VICTOR: Thank you, Dr. Horton. TOMMY: No problem. Let's hope the next time we see each other, it's not here. VICTOR: I agree whole heartedly. Tommy smiled and walked out of the room. MAGGIE: Well, this is wonderful news! VICTOR: Indeed, it is. I'm ready to be back home. MAGGIE: Well, we've been waiting for you to come back home. I'll call Philip. I'm sure he'll want to come pick us up. Maggie got up and went into the main lobby. SALEM HIGH TRIX: Wow. Big question. CIARA: So, what do you think? TRIX: Well, I can't say I haven't been thinking about it, too. CIARA: But? TRIX: There's no “but”. Like I said, I've been thinking about it, too. The only thing I'm wondering is, are you sure you're ready? CIARA: I think so. I mean, I know I haven't been out for that long, and I've really only told my family and close friends, but yeah. I think I'm ready. Are you? TRIX: I am, yeah. CIARA: Do you think we could take it a little slow, though? I mean, I'm totally ready for this, but...you know, it's still all new to me. TRIX: Hey, I don't have much experience, either. So, yeah, I'm good with taking things slow. We can go whatever speed you want. Baby steps, you know. Ciara nodded. CIARA: Well, we've already taken the first one. It seemed bigger than a baby step. TRIX: Yeah. The first step is one of the biggest. Trix and Ciara took each other by the hand. Both smiled. CIARA: So, I'll take this as a yes, then? Trix squeezed Ciara's hand. TRIX: What d'you reckon? Ciara and Trix kissed. The two of them giggled. CIARA: Come on. Let's go back to my house. If we're gonna do this right, I guess it's time you officially meet my mom and Aiden. TRIX: Sounds good. The two of them walked off together. DIMERA MANSION André was in the lab with Rolf. ANDRE: I assume that our guests are comfortable? ROLF: Of course. As comfortable as can be expected. ANDRE: Are the twins aware of the situation? Not that it matters, of course. They don't know any of our other guests. ROLF: The twins are only aware of what we want them to be aware of. ANDRE: Good. Let's hope it stays that way. Our guests may be here for a while. ROLF: André, what is the plan? André chuckled and patted Rolf on the shoulder. ANDRE: You'll soon see, dear Rolf. You'll soon see.

I am as eager as Rolf to know the plan! Sweet scene between Ciara and Trix. I wonder how it will go when Hope and Aiden meet Trix. Glad Victor is going home. Great chapter André DiMera.

Chapter 314 HOPE & AIDEN'S HOUSE A while later, Ciara and Trix were having dinner with Hope, Aiden and Chase. TRIX: This is really good, Mr. Jennings! AIDEN: Well, thank you, Trix. CHASE: It really is! HOPE: Looks like we're all in agreement about that. Ciara nodded. HOPE: So, Trix, what part of Australia did you grow up in? TRIX: Melbourne. Well, a suburb just outside of Melbourne, but it's so small that nobody would know the name of it unless they lived in or around town. I did spend most of my summers on the Gold Coast, which is two states north. AIDEN: That sounds nice. TRIX: It was. But, I'm really happy to be here in America with my dad. HOPE: You and your dad moved to town recently, I take it? Trix nodded. TRIX: At the beginning of winter...I mean, summer. Sorry, the seasons are the other way around in Australia, and it's taking me a while to get used to the difference. AIDEN: I can imagine it would. It'll get easier, though. TRIX: Yeah. HOPE: So, what does your dad do, honey? TRIX: He's a businessman, I guess. I haven't really spent much time with him. When I was a kid, he used to come visit me around Christmas and other holidays, but then he and my mum got into a huge fight and she wouldn't let me see him for a while. It's nice to get to know him now, though. AIDEN: What kind of business does he do? TRIX: Dunno, to be honest. I think part of it's shipping, and I know he owns at least one oil company. His name's Nicholas Alamain. HOPE: Ah, I see. CHASE: Hey, how'd you do on that chem test the other day? TRIX: Not bad. CIARA: Yeah, I did okay. TRIX: So, Mr. Jennings and Mrs. Brady, Ciara tells me you're getting married. HOPE: That's right. The week before Christmas. TRIX: That's awesome! AIDEN: It will be. The talking and eating continued, and eventually, all of them were done with dinner. TRIX: Thank you again for dinner. It was lovely. AIDEN: We're glad you enjoyed it. CIARA: Mom, since we got here right before dinner, is it okay if I show Trix around the house now? HOPE: Sure, honey. Have fun. Ciara and Trix got up from the table. CIARA: Well, you've already seen the living room, dining room and kitchen, so I'll show you the upstairs. TRIX: Sounds good. Ciara took Trix by the hand and led her upstairs. AIDEN: Well, she seems nice. HOPE: Yes, she does. Very nice. A few minutes later, Ciara and Trix were in Ciara's bedroom. CIARA: And, this is my room. TRIX: This is awesome! CIARA: Yeah, it's nice. I'm glad you stayed for dinner. Sorry about my mom and Aiden basically interrogating you. TRIX: It's no problem. Your mum and stepdad are really nice. Besides, now that we're dating, I wanted to get to know your family. CIARA: I'm glad. I want to get to know yours, too. TRIX: Then tomorrow, you should have dinner at my house. CIARA: That sounds really good.

Glad the dinner went well and nothing derogatory was said about Nicholas or the other Alamains in front of Trix.

It looks like this went well. Hopefully the girls continue to move slow and aren't too tempted by being in Ciara's bedroom together. Great chapter André DiMera.

Chapter 315 SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Kayla was leading a meeting with the heads of the various departments at the hospital. Among the people in the meeting were Tommy, Scotty, Daniel and Carly. KAYLA: All right. Now, our final item this morning, we have a new, very welcome return to our staff. I'm sure some of our long time colleagues will remember her. For those who do and don't, I am delighted to welcome back Dr. Carly Manning. Dr. Manning will be joining our neurological department, led by Dr. Horton. Welcome back. Carly stood up and everyone clapped. CARLY: Thank you so much, Kayla-I mean, Dr. Johnson. KAYLA: You're quite welcome. Now, are there any other matters that should be discussed? Kayla looked around the room. A few people shook their heads. KAYLA: All right, then this meeting is officially adjorned. I'll see you all on Monday, everyone. Several people shuffled out of the room. Daniel walked over to Carly. DANIEL: Dr. Manning. CARLY: Dr. Jonas, hello. DANIEL: Didn't know you were back in town. Or back on the staff, for that matter. CARLY: Well, it was a fairly short notice return. Nicholas called and said he needed my help. DANIEL: Ah, I see. Say, I've been meaning to ask you, how's Melanie? She normally calls me at least once a week, but I haven't heard from her in the past month or so. CARLY: You know, that's strange, I actually haven't heard from her recently either. DANIEL: This is very odd. Carly nodded. Daniel's pager went off. DANIEL: I gotta go. Surgery waits for no man. It is good to see you, Carly. CARLY: You too, Daniel. Daniel and Carly gave each other an awkward hug, then Daniel left the room. ALAMAIN INDUSTRIES Nicholas sat at his desk. He was on the phone. NICHOLAS: Look, I need you to call me when you get this. I know we didn't leave things off in the best place, but I miss talking to you. And I'm worried about you. Just call me, okay? DIMERA MANSION Tony stood in front of a mirror, fixing his tie. Anna sat in the room watching him. He turned to her. TONY: How do I look? Anna stood up and walked over to him. ANNA: As dashing as ever, my love. Anna and Tony kissed. ANNA: Good luck with the shareholders meeting this morning. TONY: Thank you. They kissed again. There was a knock at the door. TONY: I'll get it, Harold. Tony walked to the front door to find E.J. on the other side. TONY: Elvis? E.J.: Hello, Tony. I'm back. Surprised to see me? André stared at one of the monitors in the lab, watching the scene going on upstairs. Dr. Rolf walked up to him. ROLF: The first of our guests is ready to see you, sir. ANDRE: Very well. Lead the way. Dr. Rolf led André to another room in the basement. There were several objects in the room that looked kind of like pods. Connected to each was a stand. Rolf walked over to one of them and pressed a button on the stand. The pod it was connected to opened. André smirked. ANDRE: Hello, Melanie Jonas. Sure enough, looking like she was fast asleep, Melanie lay in the pod.

Uh oh... Melanie is really in trouble! I'm glad Carly and Daniel talked so now he knows something is wrong too. And I imagine Nicholas does as well, because I suspect he was calling Melanie. Great chapter André DiMera! Great cliffhanger! Will there be previews?

Thanks for reading and commenting, everyone!
Next week... André and Rolf wake up the first of their guests. ANDRE: You're quite safe here. Meanwhile, Trix invites Ciara to dinner. CIARA: That sounds awesome! Carly and Nicholas have a rather awkward discussion. NICHOLAS: I see no reason to continue this conversation. This isn't the time, nor is it the place. Plus, it's Halloween in Salem! TRIX: So, what are you supposed to be? All this and more next week on THE MELASWEN PARADOX!

ooh I'm excited to see what happens on Halloween! I'm also curious as to what Andre is doing with Melanie and I want to see what dinner at the Alamains is like for Ciara. Wonder what Carly and Nicholas are arguing about, probably having to do with their past. Thanks for the previews André DiMera.

I wonder what the plan for Melanie is. Andre can use her as a bargaining chip for both the Alamain and Kiriakis sides.
Thanks for the previews.

Chapter 316 SALEM HIGH Claire, Ciara and Trix were walking from their lockers to their next classes. TRIX: So, dinner tonight at my house. CIARA: After the Halloween party. TRIX: Of course. CLAIRE: Guys, I'm so excited for the party tonight! CIARA: Yeah, it's gonna be awesome! CLAIRE: At least we'll actually get to go this year. TRIX: What d'you mean? Did you guys not go last year or something? CLAIRE: After an incident with a creepy clown last Halloween, neither me, Ciara or Chase felt up to it. TRIX: What? You guys had creepy clowns, too? CIARA: Yeah. Turns out it was just a couple of the jocks being weirdos. TRIX: There were a few sightings of 'em down in Melbourne, too. I didn't see any, though. CLAIRE: You're lucky. I hate clowns. Claire shuddered. Ciara patted her shoulder. CIARA: Well, thankfully, Clownpocalypse is over, so we won't be running into them this year. DIMERA MANSION TONY: I daresay I am, yes. E.J.: Did you not expect my return? TONY: At some point, of course. Come in. E.J.: Thank you. E.J. walked in. Tony shut the door behind him. TONY: Elvis, where've you been all this time? E.J.: London. It would seem that my uncle, Thomas Banks, drugged me and took me to stay with my mother and Edmund. TONY: You've been gone for months. E.J.: I had to convince my mother that coming back here was the best option. It took quite some convincing, but I got there in the end. TONY: I see. Well...if you will excuse me- E.J.: Going somewhere, Tony? TONY: Yes, I am. You see, I have a job to do. Most people in Salem work, though it often may not seem like it. E.J.: Ah, excellent. I'll be coming with you. TONY: I don't think so. E.J.: Whyever not? TONY: Elvis, I'm sorry, but I believe you are mistaken. You don't work for DiMera Enterprises. E.J.: Don't be preposterous. I'm Stefano's heir. One of two legitimate heirs that are still alive. TONY: Be that as it may, Chad and I are the co-CEO of DiMera Enterpises. And, as of your death, you no longer own any part of the company. E.J.: But I'm not dead. I'm very much alive. You of all people should know what that's like Tony. Regardless of what you may think, I am a DiMera. It is my right to lay claim to this company as Stefano's heir. So, I believe it's you who are mistaken. I am coming with you. ANDRE: Hello, Melanie Jonas. The pod opened to reveal Melanie, looking as though she was fast asleep. There were wires connected to her forehead. Most of her body was submerged under water inside the pod. ANDRE: You're sure the process has been completed? ROLF: Of course. ANDRE: Excellent. Let's wake her up, then, shall we? Dr. Rolf nodded. He he pressed a button on the stand, disconnected the wires and took the bandages off of her head. The water drained from the pod. Slowly, Melanie's eyes opened. She she sat up and looked around, trying to focus them. ANDRE: Good morning. At the sound of the voice, Melanie looked at André. Slowly, she crawled out of the pod and stood in front of them. ANDRE: Rolf, get our guest some towels to dry off. Rolf nodded. He was just turning to get them when suddenly, with a somewhat feral scream, Melanie lunged at André.

Oh my goodness. I wonder what Andre tried to do to Melanie and what actually happened. Doesn't seem like the brainwashing worked. LOL at Tony pointing out that it doesn't seem like people in Salem work. This Tony/EJ fight should be interesting. I hope there are no creepy clowns this year! Great chapter André DiMera.
