Ouch! Poor Brady.. Chloe got his hopes high and now he had a big letdown. Victor will not be happy he cancelled the meeting for this. I agree w/Donna. He may not have his day job much longer....

Great chapter Kpatch. Things aren't looking good for Brady. Victor will not be happy about the poor performance of the company or Brady missing the conference call. Trouble is brewing.

VIENNA
Chloe has an afternoon performance, so after leaving the Damel Café, Brady and Chloe walk over the footbridge above the Wien River and head back toward the music hall. Strains of Mozart waft in and out of cafes and art galleries along the way. It’s a beautiful early autumn day and the cool breeze blows through Chloe’s hair as she hangs onto Brady’s arm.
Chloe: You know, it doesn’t make a difference.
Brady: What doesn’t make a difference?
Chloe: What they think. I mean Georg and the producers who decided to hire someone else. I still think you’re the best, no matter what.
Brady: No, they were right not to cast me in the role. I have no real experience or vocal training.
Chloe: What are you talking about? If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have a career.
Brady: Don’t sell yourself short honey.
Chloe: If it weren’t for you …
Brady stops walking and looks at Chloe.
Brady: Why are you crying?
Chloe: I just don’t know where I would be without you.
Brady: You have the voice of an angel. You’d be a star with or without me.
Chloe: I’m not exactly a star.
Brady: In my eyes, you are.
Chloe: Just like you’re a star in my eyes.
Brady: Ah, you need to put on your glasses.
Chloe: And you need to stop being so self-effacing. Brady, I don’t care what anyone says. You have an amazing voice, a voice that sings in my heart every day. You’re larger than life. You’re … you’re everything to me.
Brady: I wish I were the man you think I am. I love you so much Chloe.
Chloe: I love you too.
They kiss and Chloe leans against Brady’s shoulder as he holds her in his arms.
Chloe: See? I have everything I want, right here in your arms. Just like this. Just the way we are.
She looks at him and smiles and starts to sing.
Chloe: Don't go changing to try and please me. You never let me down before.
Brady: Don’t imagine you’re too familiar, and I don’t see you anymore.
Chloe: I would not leave you in times of trouble, we never could have come this far.
Brady and Chloe: I took the good times, I’ll take the bad times, I’ll take you just the way you are.
Brady: I need to know that you will always be the same old someone that I knew.
Chloe: What will it take ‘til you believe in me the way that I believe in you.
Brady: I said I love you, that’s forever, and this I promise from the heart.

Loving this story. Still waiting on the famous Victor Kiriakis explosion. You know that he is going to have a MAJOR fit when he finds out that Brady blew off the conference call for an opera audition. Can't wait to read more.

I love the song that Brady and Chloe were singing. Thanks for the chapter Kpatch. Looking forward to tomorrows chapter. Waiting for Victor to find out Brady missed the conference call to try singing.

Without spoiling anything (I hope) we all know Brady and Chloe are going to be spending some time together in actual Salem. This story is helping me understand why. Now I can go back to the show and agree that what's going on on-screen makes sense. Thanks kpatch!  |

I know. I couldn't stand Philip as a teen. I thought he was a jerk. Looking back now I like him a little more as a teen, but I was a teen then and I didn't appreciate his behavior. He was the kid in high school that would have made fun of me for being a nerd.
