Thanks Kpatch! You know I love a steamy Phloe scene! I enjoyed Chloe ripping off Philip's shirt.

Chapter 4b
“Oh god Philip,” she cried out.
Just then they heard a phone ringing in the next room.
“Let it ring,” he rasped, capturing her lips again.
“Mmm. Philip,” She gently pushed on his chest. “I can’t. That’s Lucinda’s ring tone.” He reluctantly rolled off her and sighed, watching her hop out of bed naked and drinking in the moment.
Chloe left the bedroom to get her purse. She returned a moment later, plucking her phone out of her handbag. She saw the missed call display. “It is Lucinda. She says Parker is sick.”
Philip shot up in bed while Chloe called Lucinda back. She ran her hand through her hair waiting for an answer. “Lucinda, it’s Chloe. … Is he running a fever? … What color? … Of course. I’ll be there in half an hour.”
As soon as Chloe put the phone down, she picked her bra up off the floor and slipped it on. Philip came up behind her and hooked the clasp for her.
“What did Lucinda say?”
“He’s throwing up. He probably ate something that got him sick.”
He scooped his pants up off the floor. “I’m coming with you.”
Shimmying her skirt on, she turned to face him. “No, it’s okay. I’ll call you as soon as I get him home.”
“Chloe, I’m his father, I should be there,” Philip reasoned.
“I know, but I just don’t want to do anything out of the ordinary right now." Chloe turned around and motioned for Philip to help zip up her skirt. "He doesn’t know we’re back together and, you know Parker, he’ll have a million questions and this isn’t how he should find out we’ve reconciled. Mary wants to be with us when we tell him.”
Philip looked downward. When she finished buttoning her blouse, she turned back around touched his cheek. “I’m sorry Philip.”
Philip reached for his keys on the dresser and took his car key off the key ring and handed it to her. “Take my car. It’s in spot 114.” He cocked his head toward the bed. “This isn’t over, you know.”
Laughing lightly, Chloe slid her hands up Philip’s bare shoulders and hugged him to her body, whispering, “Not by a long shot.” She gave him a quick kiss on the ear and rushed out.

Oh no! I hope Parker is okay. This was such a realistic scene. I'm glad too to hear that Dr. Richards is still in the picture. Great chapter Kpatch.

Philip & Chloe would have been absolute fools to have gotten rid of Dr. Richards simply because she forced them to look at the reality of their situation and not at the dreams and thoughts & how they wanted to perceive it.
I hate when little ones are sick. I sure hope Parker is ok.

Hopefully Parker quits throwing up before Chloe puts him in the car.
I felt bad for Philip but I think Chloe was right.

Chapter 5
When Philip arrived at work on Friday at 8:00 a.m., the first thing he did was go to Chloe’s office. She had texted him last night when she got to Lucinda’s, and again when she got Parker home and into bed. Poor kid had a horrible stomach ache. She gave him some apple juice, but he didn’t hold it down. When Philip couldn’t reach her this morning, he figured she was in the shower getting ready for work.
The group administrative assistant seemed a little flustered to see Philip. “Chloe’s um … her um her son is sick so she’s working from home today.”
It was truly an awkward moment, being told about your kid by your ex’s secretary. He obviously knew that Parker was under the weather, but the secretary didn’t know how much he did or didn’t know. She must think he’s a deadbeat dad. Had he known that Parker was still sick, he would have told the limo driver to stop by the condo before heading to work.
On his way back to his office, he took his phone out of his pocket and called Chloe on his cell. He was surprised when it rolled into voicemail, so he left a message. “Hey sweetheart, how’s Parker doing? Give me a call as soon as you get this message.” Now he was starting to worry.
By the time he reached his office, Chloe had phoned him back. “Hey, sorry I didn’t call you this morning.” Chloe’s voice sounded groggy on the other end of the line. “He had a bad night. He was throwing up most of the night. I was in touch with his pediatrician, but she didn’t think it sounded like an emergency. Anyway, we both finally fell asleep at about 3:30 or 4.”
“See, I should have been there to help. Want me to come over?”
“No, not now,” she said on a yawn. “I want him to sleep. I’m gonna work from home today.”
“Of course. Try and get a nap in if you can,” he suggested. “And keep in touch with me today, okay? I’m anxious to hear how Parker is doing.”
“I know you are. … Oh hey Philip, wait. Why don’t you come over after work? Since your car is here.”
“Only to pick up my car?”
“No, of course not,” she said. “We want to see you.”
Philip smiled. “And I want to see both of you. Go back to sleep. I'll see you tonight.”

Poor awkward admin! That had to have been a weird conversation to have with the boss... Love the ending to this chapter--it really seems as though these two are well on the road to getting back together!

That must have been awkward hearing from an administrative assistant that your son is still sick. I mean, I know Philip knew he was sick, but still. Can't wait to see what happens next! Great chapter, Kpatch!

I hope Chloe and Parker get some rest. That was awkward for Philip and the assistant. I'm glad Philip is going to see Chloe and Parker after work.

Chapter 6a
Philip headed to the condo right after work. Standing outside the door, he was holding a white paper bag with Chinese food for himself and Chloe, and a DVD for Parker to cheer him up. When he spoke to Chloe earlier, she said Parker was finally holding down food by midday and by the afternoon, he seemed much more like himself.
Chloe opened the door with a big smile on her face. Philip peered around her to see if the coast was clear before taking her in his arms and kissing her lips.
“Mmm. Nice greeting.” She held his lapels. “Take off your coat and come to the kitchen. I’ve got something on the stove,” she said as soon as Philip released her. He hung up his coat and followed her into the kitchen. “Are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?”
Philip set the paper bag on the kitchen counter and came up behind her. While she adjusted the heat on the burner, he pressed his body against hers from behind. “I brought Chinese,” he whispered, moving her hair aside to nuzzle the back of her neck. “But I’m much more interested in what you’ve got cooking.”
She giggled softly as his lips tickled her skin. “It’s homemade applesauce for Parker.” She turned her head slightly and held up a spoon. “Want a taste?”
“Yes,” he said in deep, husky voice, “but not of the applesauce.” He was about to turn Chloe around for a kiss when Lucinda entered the living room, which was visible from the open floor plan of the kitchen.
“Philip! I thought I heard your voice.”
“Lucinda.” Philip straightened up and took a few steps away from Chloe. “I didn’t know you were you here,” he said.
“I just came by a little while ago.” Pointing toward the hallway leading to the bedrooms, she said, “I wanted to check and see how Parker is doing. I know Chloe had a rough night with him last night.”
“Yeah, no one got much sleep,” Philip admitted.
