Nice of Lucinda to stop by....but kind of a surprise to see her there. It's good to see Philip and Chloe "team parenting" a little more!

I'm glad to see Chloe and Philip being involved with Parker and each other. Wonder how Lucinda really feels about Philip stopping by.

I'm wondering if Philip and Chloe will get more than a moment alone. I liked the hello kisses and the banter. I wonder how long Lucinda will stay.

Lucinda refresherSome of your comments made me think it’s time for a little history on the lovely Lucinda. Here goes. As you recall, after Parker was born and it was discovered Philip was the child’s father, not Daniel, Chloe suffered from serious post partum depression which included a suicide attempt and endangering Parker’s safety. Philip was given full custody of Parker and Chloe’s life spiralled downward. She was drinking heavily and this made Philip uncomfortable. So he decided to take Parker and move to Chicago. All this occurred on the show. That’s where my fanfic series picked up with After the Fall. In Chicago, Philip moved into a condo and hired Lucinda, a lovely African American grandmother, to be Parker’s nanny. After Chloe’s horrific prostitution ordeal and near-death beating, Brady brought Chloe to Chicago so she could recover and be near Parker. Philip took her in, and Lucinda helped Chloe get reaquainted with her son. Several stories later, when Chloe was named head of the Titan music division, she and Philip needed to figure a way to care for Parker while both his parents worked full time. Philip came up with the idea of adding a daycare facility to the Titan Chicago office so Parker could be nearby, and he put Lucinda in charge of the whole thing, including the design of the facility. It’s located on the 15th floor of the Randolph Street building (Titan occupies the 15th and 16th floors). Back to Lucinda. My feeling is that Lucinda’s first priority is Parker, who she’s cared for since he was a baby. Her second allegiance is to Philip as her employer and trusted friend. She wants to see the Kiriakis family whole again. She was babysitting for Parker at her place when Parker got sick the night before. Since he got sick from something he ate, she feels a little responsible. That’s why she came over to the condo to see how he’s doing.

Chapter 6b
Philip was about to turn Chloe around for a kiss when Lucinda entered the living room, which was visible from the open floor plan of the kitchen.
“Philip! I thought I heard your voice.”
“Lucinda.” Philip straightened up and took a few steps away from Chloe. “I didn’t know you were you here,” he said.
“I just came by a little while ago.” Pointing toward the hallway leading to the bedrooms, she said, “I wanted to check and see how Parker is doing. I know Chloe had a rough night with him last night.”
“Yeah, no one got much sleep,” Philip admitted.
“I have to tell you,” Lucinda sighed, “I felt just awful interrupting your date like that last night.”
Chloe and Philip glanced at each other and smiled. “Nonsense,” Philip said, addressing Lucinda. “Nothing’s more important than Parker.”
“Well I owe you one. Just let me know when.”
“Thanks, we will,” Philip said. “How’s Parker doing?”
“Seems a lot better today. And I know he’ll be even better than that after he finds out his mom and dad are back together.” Chloe opened her mouth to say something, but Lucinda put her hand up. “Don’t even think about it. He won’t hear it from me. It’s not my place.” She smiled watching Philip wrap his arms around Choe from behind. “I’m gonna get going.” Philip released Chloe to help Lucinda with her coat. Chloe followed them into the living room. “You two be good,” Lucinda said before walking out and closing the door behind her.
Philip twisted the deadbolt lock and turned back toward Chloe, his eyes smiling seductively as he walked toward her in the middle of the living room.
As soon as she was within reach, his arms encircled her and he leaned forward to kiss her neck and cheek while Chloe melted into his embrace. She leaned closer until their lips met in a searing kiss.
“That’s just a taste of what’s to come,” he whispered.
“Mmm. … Wait,” she said, gently pushing against Philip’s chest.
“I’ve waited long enough,” Philip said, recapturing her mouth.
Chloe broke the kiss laughing. “Now look who’s all impatient.”
“Hey, I’ve been a good boy up to now.”
She pulled on his tie. “Yes you have, and I didn’t think you had it in you,” she joked.
“I didn’t think I had it in me either. And now, I want it in you.” The nervousness he felt last night was replaced with mounting arousal. He wanted Chloe so badly and he could barely think about anything else. He reached for her, trying to pull her closer, but she resisted. Knitting his brow, he asked, “What’s the matter?”
“Nothing, but … don’t you want to see your son?”
Philip blinked and took a step back. He scratched his temple, a little perturbed with himself. “Of course I do.” He glanced toward the bedrooms. “Not having sex is obviously clouding my judgment.” He cupped her cheek. “Don’t go anywhere.”
“Except maybe the bedroom?” she suggested, smiling slyly.
He pointed at her as he walked toward the hall leading to the bedrooms. “I approve of that idea. Meet you there,” he said with a wink.

I think Philip and Chloe should have moved to Chicago when they first got married--with a few notable exceptions, everyone seems to be on Team Phloe!
