Though the writing was on the wall, I was hoping that maybe this one time, two pregnant soap characters delivering on the same day wouldn't lead to the typical conclusion that one baby would die and the living one would be switched with the dead one. I suppose it may turn out better than anticipated but right now it's striking me as dumb and predictable - Sam saw her child, is she really not going to recognize him when she sees him with Tea?!

I am so very glad that Sam realized right away that the dead baby that she was holding was not her son. I hope that this baby switch stuff doesn't play out for too long since I am so over baby switches after watching the baby switch storyline on Days with Sydney.
Heather is one real whacked out lady. I can't believe she would have someone believe their baby is dead just because Sam wouldn't give a letter to Steve. She is starting to get on my nerves.

^^ I haven't seen today's episode - I'm relieved to know that they aren't going to try and play it out that Sam didn't recognize her own child. That would have just been too stupid to bear. I wonder if Heather's animosity toward Sam doesn't go deeper than her failing to deliver the letter to Steve. I know she's crazy so I'm not suggesting that wouldn't be enough motivation in her mind but she seems overly protective/touchy about Franco. I'm starting to wonder if anything she told Sam about him was true.... and like you I suspect that she tampered with the DNA results and that Jason will turn out to be the father.
I don't know that I care much anymore but having Sam as the victim of a babyswitching scheme and/or possibly blaming Jason for the loss of her child indicates to me that the long term plan is to reunite Jasam. It's the kind of obstacle storyline that is/was so typical for classic soap opera supercouples (not that I would personally count Jasam in that league but they are getting the writing for it).

I really hope the babyswitch storyline ends quickly. At least they are playing it out somewhat realistically by letting Sam notice that the baby wasn't her ... but apparently Jason convinced her that she was just in denial. And at least Roger Howarth has the acting skills to demonstrate Todd's guilt and conflict over what he is doing, but still I don't like it and hope it ends soon. I'm also hoping the Maxie/Matt marriage ends quickly. They are painful together. I've never warmed up to Matt and I'm still not loving Jen Lilley's Maxie so the two of them trying to pull off scenes alone together is bad news.

I really didn't like the way that the writers wrote off Matt but I am glad that this whole Lisa murder stuff is now wrapped up and he is gone from the show. I really wish that we could have gotten a scene between Matt and Patrick before Matt went to jail.
Heather is starting to drive me nuts but I do really like the character. I just hate her motivations for doing the things that she is doing. She is one crazy and funny lady. Her scenes with dead Anthony were hilarious.
I am really ready for McBain to go back to Llanview and never be seen or heard from again. I hate that he is a part of this whole babyswitch storyline. I would much rather have Jason and Sam figure it out on their own that Tea has Sam's baby. At least it looks like Sam is going to figure out very soon that her baby didn't actually die and instead it was Tea's baby that died.
I am so glad that Mac is getting a lot more airtime lately. I used to like him and Felicia together in the past but right now I just am not feeling them. I would actually prefer to see him with Anna. Him and Anna used to make a great team and it could have been good to see them working together again.
Luke and Tracy are so great together and I am glad that it looks like they are going to be spending a lot more time around each other trying to figure out who killed Anthony.
I am really glad that Carly and Johnny are back together but I hate that he is keeping a secret from her even though Carly has no right to expect him to tell her everything considering that she is the queen of keeping secrets. I really love that Johnny is trying to come to terms with what he did to Cole and Hope by trying to kill Anthony. Brandon Barash is doing a great job with this material right now.
I am really starting to miss Patrick and I hope that we get to see more of him soon.
At first I liked this Connie/Kate stuff but now that it is starting to mirror the Vicky stuff from OLTL I am not enjoying it as much. I definitely find Connie a lot more fun to watch than Kate but since I was never a big fan of OLTL I really don't want to watch Kate turn into Vicky.
I can't believe that I am actually enjoying Todd right now. He is the only OLTL character that I can actually even watch on GH.

Tracy and Luke are just so adorable together. Loved their scenes at the Floating Rib.
I still can't believe that Heather switched Sam's paternity test results and stole her baby just because Sam didn't give Steve a stupid letter from her. This is getting more lamer and lamer each day but crazy Heather is entertaining to watch at least.
I am so glad that Sam told off Jason yesterday. I don't blame her for being upset with Jason for having John McBain beat up.
I don't know if I like Johnny and Lulu being partners but I loved it when Luke ran his blues club so it should be interesting to watch Lulu running her own club with Johnny.
I never realized just how hot that Ewen guy was until he had his shirt off yesterday.

I love Luke & Tracy. They are definitely my fave GH couple and they are well on their way to becoming one of my fave couples among all soaps.
The scenes between Jasam on Tuesday were the best they've had in a long time. I loved Sam telling off Elizabeth too and telling her to go ahead and run after him, he's all free. Jason & Elizabeth bore me to tears (even worse than Sam & John) but I was irked at her telling Sam she believed Jason was sincere. Well of course you do, you snotty little twit, you aren't the one who just lost a child because of him or had him telling you how he couldn't even try to love your child for months before it. I was thinking the same thing when Sam said it - you think the dumb thug is so great, go for it witch.
I like the way that GH fades short run villains in and out of the show - that's would be a tremendous boost for Days. They need to get rid of all of the Dimeras (by blood or otherwise) and bring in fresh villains. I thought the walk down memory lane with Heather was rather campy (very OLTL) but at least GH bothers to give insight into the motivations for a character's behavior (no matter how crazy those reasons might be).
I don't like the new Kristina at all. I was trying to give her a little time to see if it improved but the girl can't act. I don't like the writing for her and I hate the new Troy/Trey punk but the actress just makes it worse. Lexie Ainsworth would have managed to make me root for Kristina even in the same scenario. This girl makes Kristina seem obnoxious even when she is supposed to be showing warmth or concern to/for her sisters.

I really hate the new Kristina. GH used to be so very good at casting their younger actors but the last few have been really bad with them casting Jen Liley and now this new actress playing Kristina and also with bringing on the actress that plays Star.
I am so glad that Sonny does not have another child with Kate/Connie. He has way too many kids the way it is. I don't know what RC's obsession is with rape but I am starting to get sick of all these women on this show having been raped. As someone who actually has been raped I find it disgusting to have so many rape storylines on soaps. They are not entertaining to watch.

I don't understand either Karebr and agree it is not an entertaining subject matter at all. The best I can say for GH is that at least they are demonstrating it as a traumatic event and not some passing inconvenience the way Days has done. It was traumatic enough to cause Connie/Kate's mental illness, which is so much more realistic than the assumption that her being shot as an adult caused it - being raped and not being able to tell anyone as a teen is a lot more plausible as the kind of trauma that would create disociative identity disorder. What's equally frustrating is that they are making yet another female character a rape victim just to push a storyline for two male characters because you know that's how this is going to play out - Sonny and John will put aside their differences because they have a new common enemy in Joe Jr.
On a completely irrelevant note, I was amused when Sonny said that Joe Jr. had been hidden somewhere in New Orleans and he thought the name of the business was Fleur de Lis something and John responded "do you know how many places there have Fleur de Lis in the name?" --- Just something I could personally relate to - I rolled my eyes when Sonny first said that but then when the writers acknowledged how cliche it was, I appreciated it more.

I really need Jason to take a long vacation out of Port Charles for awhile. He is seriously getting on my nerves lately.
Spinelli cracks me up whenever he is in detective mode. It looks like he is going to figure out real soon that Heather stole Anthony's body.
I can't believe how much I have been liking Todd lately. I never was a huge fan of the character when he was on OLTL but I am really enjoying him on GH. He is the only OLTL character that I wouldn't actually mind seeing stick around.
The Luke, Tracy and Anna stuff is driving me nuts. I want to see Luke and Tracy get back together. I did get a kick out of Tracy's reaction to seeing Anna in Luke's bed.

I hardly know what to say about the Luke/Tracy/Anna stuff. I'm disappointed and irritated but I'm not sure they would be Luke & Tracy if one or the other wasn't doing something disappointing and irritating. I don't understand Luke & Anna at all. Maybe if I had known the characters in their younger days I would have a different viewpoint but for me this just doesn't make any sense. They don't match up at all.
I never liked Todd Manning as played by Trevor St. John on OLTL. Roger Howarth on the other hand has a special gift for making otherwise unlikeable characters rootable. It also helps that I have a lot of respect for his stand against rape as romance. It makes my heart full to see him be the one to ultimately come out on top rather than those who tried to justify their complicity in such a dangerous message (and look forward to the same karmic outcome for some at Days). I agree that Todd (as played by Roger Howarth) is the only one of the OLTL bunch that I'm actually enjoying.
I like Spinelli and as much as I might want (or wanted) Maxie and Spinelli together, the new actress is still annoying me, maybe not as much as in the past but enough that I'm enjoying the break from her. I like Spinelli having his own scenes and story.
Either Steve Burton is way off of late or it took me a while to notice but he's not a good actor. I think he has the ability to be and has managed some good scenes in the past but his scenes in yesterday's episode were badly done IMO. That conversation with Michael was clearly intended as a way for Jason to give his side of the story to the audience but the way SB played the scene all I took from it was how often Jason fumes at whoever about whatever - I suppose that technique was once intended to convey that Jason has difficulty "sharing his feelings" but all it does for me now is make me feel like the actor is phoning it in (and maybe he is and that's why the technique is so noticeable and annoying).... or maybe it's just that enough is enough. I'm beyond tired of hearing about Jason and his little feelings much less whether he feels "comfortable" sharing them - I just find myself telling him to get the hell over it already. I was cheering Sam when she said she was tired of walking on egg shells and hiding what she feels because of how it might make Jason feel - Amen Sister! Everyone in Port Charles could take a page from that book.
By the way, Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller) is on True Blood this season. I saw her on this week's episode and considering the role she's playing, she may not survive many episodes but I was super excited when I saw her. I always liked her and am thrilled that she got a part on such major night time show (even if she is playing a member of the Authority, LOL).

I really enjoyed the Todd and Heather scenes today. I especially liked all the different jobs that Todd tried to offer her like obituary editor, gardening, and I forgot what the other one was. These scenes were all kind of fun to watch. I definitely have always liked Todd better when he was played by Roger Howarth. I never liked Trevor St. John in the role and he is the one who actually really made me not like Todd on OLTL. He is actually part of the reason why I stopped watching OLTL years ago.
I really like Luke and Anna as friends since they have always been really good friends in the past. I hate that the writers are going to ruin their friendship by pairing them together. IMO Luke and Anna work so much better when they are trying to solve mysteries together.
For the first time since Starr has been on the show, I actually didn't hate her scenes today with Johnny and the new Trey guy.
Maxie is just irritating the crap out of me.
I couldn't even stand watching the Jason and Sam stuff. Steve Burton is definitely phoning in a lot of his scenes lately especially with Sam. I have never been a big fan of his but I always thought that Steve Burton was a much better actor and more enjoyable to watch before Jason had his accident that caused him to act all the way that he acts. I never really cared for Jason's stone cold persona and was really hoping that after this last accident that we would actually get back some of the old Jason.

I just saw over on the daytime royalty site that Kristen Storms is in talks with GH to return as Maxie. I really hope that she takes the role back from Jen Lilley so that I can enjoy Maxie again especially with Spinelli.

^^ Me too!!!! Even if KS doesn't return, I hope they recast the role with someone else - there is bound to be someone out there who could do it better than JL ... and while they are at it, maybe they can put out a casting call for a new Kristina too. I absolutely hate the storyline for the younger set right now - it is exactly like the one for Starr on OLTL!! How the hell does she get to come into GH and impose her storyline on the GH characters?! ... and it sucked the first time around! Brandon Barash is a big improvement over Austin Peck but otherwise is the same sucky storyline with equally sucky acting. I don't like the kid playing the documentary filmmaker either (I don't care enough about the character to bother remembering his name). Oh and if they try to make him Kate's lost son I will scream - Kate's kid should be the same age as Dante.
On to what I do like - Spinelli telling off Maxie!! That was glorious! I rewinded and watched it again.

I just saw this summer promo for GH and it looks like it is going to be a really good summer. Now this is how you do a promo to make people want to watch your show. Days really should take a lesson from GH on how to do good promos. This promo is all kinds of good and hot.
I can't believe how much I am enjoying the show right now. All of this stuff going on with Heather is so great to watch. I can't wait until all the truths come out about what she did. Her scenes with Todd are so entertaining and I loved Todd's crazy ringtone when she called him today.
I really like seeing Johnny and Lulu working together again. I used to really like them as a couple and I wouldn't be too upset if they end up back together even though I really like Johnny and Carly.
I am starting to enjoy Todd and Carly's scenes together and I would love to see them scheme together. They could have a great partnership.
It must be time for Anthony Geary's annual summer vacation. His kidnapping is so hilarious.
I am so tired of all this Sam and Jason drama and wouldn't miss Jason one bit if he left the show.
