All caught up and still annoyed with Jason (even more so than Sam). Sam shouldn't have gone to John first but otherwise she didn't do anything except wait a few days to get more info before telling Jason. Jason is acting like an obstinate child. No one is trying to "handle" him and he really, really needs to get over that crap fast. Here's a newsflash Jason, maybe Sam's just a tad traumatized herself finding out that she was indeed raped and that the baby she's carrying is that psycho's rather than her husband's, so maybe you could set aside your teen angst for five seconds and recognize that she did tell you truth and that maybe that truth is even harder on her than on you and grow up.
I really like Spinelli piecing together the Lisa murder mystery and Lulu figuring out who has been attacking the dancers. I love all of the Luke/Tracy scenes! They are the best part of the show for me right now.... and Carly and Johnny are becoming a close second.

I am not liking the Jason and Sam stuff at all right now and could actually use a break from them both. Both Jason and Sam lately have been alot more enjoyable when they are not in scenes with each other.
Luke and Tracy are definitely very enjoyable right now with the way they are both jealous of each other. I really love what is going on with Johnny and Carly. They are by far the hottest couple on the show right now.
I can't believe I am actually saying this but for the first time since Scott Reeves took over the role of Steve I am actually enjoying Steve now that he is interacting with Heather. Crazy Heather is so much fun to watch especially in her scenes with Luke.
I actually can't wait until the whole stripper attacker storyline is over. I really hope that it is Ronnie behind the attacks so that they can get rid of his annoying character that I have never liked. I do however like it a lot when Lulu goes into detective mode because it just reminds even more that she is definitely Luke and Laura's daughter. Spinelli always makes me laugh when he is on and I like it also when he goes into detective mode. I have this gut feeling that Matt is going to end up being the one who killed Lisa especially since I saw a rumor that Jason Cook was being let go and that he was finishing up taping his exit story.

I forgot to mention what a fantastic job Jason Thompson is still doing with Patrick's grief over Robin. His scenes in the house when Epiphany comes to check on him is probably his best work so far and I really like that the writers included that scene because it's after the funeral is over and everyone else starts resuming their normal routines that the ones closest to the deceased are going to feel the lost the hardest. I'm glad that didn't just ignore Patrick for the next few weeks and then suddenly have him back at work moving on... and I like that it's Epiphany because she is the only person that I think he believes won't stop bugging him until he gets past this phase of grief.
I liked Luke telling Carly today that she is fixated on Johnny because she's not over Jax, partly because I think that is a realistic point to be made and partly because I want Jax to return and like that they are mentioning him. Unfortunately, it's looking like there may yet be another round of Carly and Sonny instead. Hopefully it will at least be short lived so we can get back to Johnny & Carly.

I am not happy that it looks like Johnny and Carly are going to be through just so that Carly can end up back together with Sonny. I was hoping that when the gunshot was fired that either Johnny or Connie had shot Sonny and killed him just so that I could get a break from Sonny's whining about betrayal. I also hate that it looks like Kate is going to make it look like Johnny raped her.
I totally love the way that Spinelli was trying to piece together that Matt could be the one who killed Lisa. Having Spinelli, Matt and Cameron going to see the new Avengers movie was a great subtle way to do a product placement for the movie.
I really wish that we could get some more scenes with Patrick grieving over Robin since Jason Thompson is definitely the star of the show right now with how great his acting has been. I could watch his scenes grieving over Robin over and over again because they are that good and realistic.
I don't know why but I get the feeling that Heather somehow switched the paternity test results on Sam's baby and Jason is really going to end up being the father after the baby is born.

I couldn't make it through yesterday's episode, even FFing was too much effort. I just stopped it and deleted it. I used to just find Sonny and Sonny/Kate annoying but now I find Jason and John McBain as completely unwatchable as Sonny and that trio makes up the whole damn show. I have a feeling I'm going to be taking a hiatus from GH for a while until the new OLTL writers get their heads out of their ass and remember which soap they are writing for now. I just thought Jason & Sam had become boring, trying to watch Liz and Jason talk yesterday did me in. I decided it would be more fun to skip the episode and manage my checkbook instead. I'm convinced it's Jason that's boring me and McBain has always been a bore, I don't think either of those two are cut out to be romantic leads. I agree with you that Sam's baby will probably turn out to be Jason's .... because unlike Days/NBC/Sony I expect that GH/ABC/Disney understands how morally repugnant it is to reward a rapist with a child that resulted from his crime.

Today's show was really awful, even the Luke and Tracy stuff wasn't that enjoyable. There was way too much Sonny, Carly, Jason, and Sam on for my liking. I couldn't even watch the whole episode without doing something else while I was watching. Now that Carly is being thrown back into Sonny's orbit again I absolutely can't stand her. I was liking the Connie stuff but now it is starting to feel like I am watching the whole DID storyline with Vickie on OLTL all over again. I hate that RC is putting too much of a OLTL feel to this show. I didn't like OLTL all that much and I sure as hell don't want to watch GH turn into OLTL. I just saw that two more characters from OLTL are going to be coming to Port Charles, Todd and Tea. I thought that when RC took over that we would be seeing a lot less of Jason and Sonny and more of the Quartermaines and the hospital stuff but instead it seems like Sonny and Jason are being featured more than before. Jason and Sam are boring me to death these days and I could seriously care less about their baby drama. I am not a fan of Sonny's and never really have been so I really could care less about seeing him and Kate break up and him and Carly hooking up. I used to like Carly with Johnny but now that is over with and I am back to not enjoying Carly. I really want to see more of Patrick, the Quartermaines and the Robin drama. I hate that we were teased with the fact that Robin is alive and nothing is being done with it and we hardly have gotten any kind of Patrick scenes since the memorial. I would love to see more of Patrick grieving scenes. As much as I can't stand Maxie these days I would even rather see more of her than fricken Sonny and Jason. I'm with you Kazz on that I may give up on watching GH if things don't change soon from the whole Sonny/Jason/OLTL show. I have so many better things to do everyday than watch a soap that only wants to feature characters that I am not interested in.

If Luke & Tracy are on today, I might try to FF to their scenes but I'm sorry to hear you say that even those weren't enjoyable today. I'll probably just wait until the weekend before I bother even trying to see the Luke/Tracy scenes. I agree about wanting to see more of Patrick and Spinelli... and yeah even I have to admit that Maxie has been better lately than anything going on with the supposed "leads" of the show. GH needs to catch a clue fast or they are going to end up with the same ratings failure that Tomlin led Days into by trying to write for his Passions characters rather than for Days. I didn't watch a lot of OLTL but enough to know I didn't watch to watch anymore of it. IMO, it sucked as a soap. Most of the actors were very poor actors, the dialogue was silly, and the storylines were sillier, none of the characters had any interesting or memorable qualities, it was all just very blah to me.... and that is exactly how GH is starting to feel to me.

Today's show was really good. There was absolutely no Sonny, Carly, Jason and Sam on it. It really makes a huge difference when those four are not on taking up a whole episode.
I absolutely loved the Anthony, Tracy and Luke scenes. I liked that Luke rushed over to the Quartermaine mansion to prevent Tracy from killing Anthony.
The Patrick scenes once again were very heartbreaking. I really like the little bonding moments between Patrick and Matt. Patrick is really going to have a hard time dealing with losing his brother too especially since they just started getting closer to each other.
The Mac and Anna scenes were really heartbreaking too. Those were probably my favorite scenes in today's episode. I liked having Felicia show up at the end of the show right after Mac just got done talking about her and Frisco.
Everything about this episode was very watchable and enjoyable. I wish that we could have more episodes like this instead of all the Sonny, Carly, Jason and Sam drama that we keep getting stuck with.
@kazz, I would definitely recommend watching this episode.

I did get caught up this weekend and I loved Friday's episode. That last scene with Maxie & Spinelli was great. I've even come around to be able to tolerate the actress since this storyline started. I kind of knew the Matt reveal would be coming and that Maxie already knew but I was still surprised when she admitted it to Spinelli so quickly.
The Luke & Tracy scenes were outstanding!

Today's episode was pretty good also. It really makes a world of difference when Sonny, Jason and Sam are not on and hogging the whole episode.
I really liked the Mac scenes a whole lot. John York is such a great actor and I am so glad that the writers have decided to utilize him more in this Maxie storyline. It was really heartbreaking to see Mac so upset over possibly losing Maxie. I am glad that the history between Mac and Felicia was acknowledged and that Mac reminded Felicia that she walked out on her family just like Frisco did to put their adventurous jobs before their own children's needs.
The Spinelli and Maxie scenes were really heartbreaking too and I just wanted to hug Spinelli today. I am so glad that it looks like Spinelli and Maxie will end up back together after all this is over. I also liked the Alexis and Matt scenes and the way that Matt has absolutely no clue that he killed Lisa but is starting to remember things here and there about that night. I also liked the cliffhanger with Spinelli standing up to tell everyone that Matt is the killer.
Heather is really crazy and I wonder what she is going to do next. I have a feeling that she is the one who had Steve arrested.
The Dante and Ronnie stuff at the police station was really well done. This is how you create drama. Days should take a look at these scenes next time they want to do a situation like this.

Spinelli jumping over the desk to get to Maxie before they could take her away made me heart the guy even more than before. When he was having the flashback to their conversation during his appeal to the judge, I was terrified he was going to confess to the killing himself. I love all of Mac's scenes - I love Mac period! And John York is a hottie!
The Dante and Ronnie scenes were great - all of Ronnie's scenes in this storyline have been good which is a little sad because just when he gets good material, he'll be leaving. What annoys the hell out of me though is that freaking John McBain had to be shoved into this storyline. I'm so sick of him and the way GH is forcing him into everything. It was soooo very gracious of the writers to allow Dante to play a part in rescuing his own wife from his best friend because it was looking like they were going to let the Llanview refuge take that too. All they're doing is making me resent him even more.
Another complaint - I know Maurice Benard's acting work is often sloppy but it seems like ever since the OLTL onslaught he doesn't bother to try at all anymore. It's like he's thinking well they can't act why should I bother. He was so off in that scene when Jason finally told Sonny that Franco raped Sam, I nearly screamed in frustration. That was one scene between the two I've been waiting to see and not only was it rushed through but MB's delivery was awful. It was a total let down.... which I guess shouldn't be too surprising since Jason has actually managed to surpass Sonny on my unwatchable scale this week. I wish he would get on his little motorbike and ride his whiny, self-pitying ass out of Port Charles for good - I would never miss him.

I'm still behind on my GH so I can't read anything in this thread.
But I did catch that Jason comment Kazz...LOL You better back off my man. I love Sonny and Jason equally. Not that what you said is anything new...fans pretty much are divided over him. But I am on the love side. MMM Steve and Mo. I tend to like the show best the days they are on...although I like all the cast (except Sam and Robin - but she's gone. And I actually have been loving Sam and John...so hey I think I might love all the cast. Oh wait I hate Matt - he's pointless) so I'm good any day of the week.
But that stupid safe house story on Days has me rewatching my MetroCourt hostage crisis DVDs. Now that was an explosion worth watching. I wish Days would stop faux angsting all over the place. Make it real and make it bleed.

I didn't always hate Sonny and Jason and I actually used to enjoy them quite a bit when the show wasn't so centered around them. Ever since Jason and Sam got married and they were thrown into this whole Franco mess, I ended up not being able to enjoy either character. I actually enjoy Jason these days so much better when he isn't involved with Sam, Sonny or Carly. I just can't find anything to enjoy about Sonny and I haven't been able to in a very long time. I think that the last time I actually kinda cared about Sonny was when Claudia was still on the show. I think that most of my problem with Sonny is the way that MB plays him these days. I have never liked MB in highly emotional scenes and I feel like he is very overrated in those kind of scenes just like James Scott is on Days. I can tolerate Sonny so much more when he isn't constantly whining and blaming everyone for all the bad stuff that is happening to him. If the writers would actually let Sonny take some responsibility for his actions and stop placing the blame on everyone else then I might be able to tolerate him more.
All of this stuff with McBain is really starting to get on my last nerves. I don't know why he had to be involved in this whole Ronnie mess. I am so ready for this character to leave the show.

I liked Jason okay until the new writers took over. I like his friendship with Spinelli, his relationship with Michael and occasionally his scenes with Carly. I liked the relationship between Jason and Sam as far as them being well matched but I don't think Jason/SB's strength is in romantic relationships - I don't find him hot - it has nothing to do with his looks, just something is lacking about him - he's rather dull most of the time and doesn't have good romantic chemistry with anyone IMO.
Sonny, I absolutely cannot tolerate. I never liked him exactly but he was at least watchable once upon a time and I think it began to change for me about the same time as you mentioned Karebr. Unlike JS, MB does have some acting ability - he has demonstrated it on occasion, but I agree that he is higly overrated and I would say that for at least the past 2 years or so he has put forth little effort in his scenes and in the last few months it's like he doesn't even bother to pretend to make an effort anymore. JS is just plain bad as an actor - he would have a better chance of lucking into a decent performance if he would stop trying to act and phone it in like MB.
And moving right along from the JS of GH to the GG of GH, John McBain is everything that has made it impossible for me to ever warm up to Rafe. He's a dull character played by an awful actor and allowed to immediately take over the entire show from his introduction.
