  Whether playing the dashing Tony, or the deliciously evil André, Thaao Penghlis has always been a class act. As Tony, he is debonair, suave, and utterly charming. A good guy all around. André is also debonair and suave, but with a nice dose of psychopathy mixed in. I, personally, have loved this actor from the moment I first remember seeing him. Which, incidentally, was the day that André (at the time, impersonating Tony) threw Sami through the glass doors of the DiMera Mansion. Whether he's being good, or being way too good at being evil, Thaao is a class act. So, in this thread, let's show our appreciation to the man who has made two of the most unforgettable DiMera children. |

I'm glad you enjoy it, UhSir. Thank you, Kpatch. In my opinion, Thaao works well with pretty much any actor he's ever played with/against. But, one of my all time favorite scenes was when Thaao went up against himself. And, now that André and Sami are interacting more on the show, who could forget the last time André and Sami saw each other? |

My memory of the actor is from General Hospital. I grew up in GH family and whenever his face would pop up on t.v. (probably for a commercial for DAYS), my mother would always say "oh, he's the Ice Princess Cassadine guy" ha! ha!
That's also how I "know" Steve...the actor played a Cassadine family member on General Hospital  |

Bear in mind that, although he is referred to as Tony, this is actually André.

While looking at Days clips this evening, I found a video containing a series of clips of both Tony and André. Both characters had great wit, as the video will show.

As mentioned in another thread, I've been watching a lot of old clips of Anna and Tony/André. Can we just take a minute to appreciate how nice they looked, and how nice they still look? Particularly Thaao, who has aged quiet well.   |
