Jan Spears awakens from her coma just as Shawn-D and Belle return to town. Jan kidnaps Shawn-D and almost gets away, if it weren't for a trip to the Salem Inn.

(NOTE: I know it's only late Sunday evening, but I couldn't wait any longer, so I'm releasing Chapter 1 a night early)

Chapter 1

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
It was that time again. The time for Jan's monthly doctor's appointment to see how things were with the baby. Jan was now in her second month of pregnancy. Daniel was getting the ultrasound machine. Jan didn't quite know what it was, but she didn't like being around Daniel. Possibly it was the fact that he was so flirty with every woman he came in contact with. Either way, Daniel came into the room with the ultrasound machine.
DANIEL: Have I mentioned that I was once voted the winner of the award for most desirable man in Salem of all time?
JAN: Only about every other time you see me.
DANIEL: Right...of course...well...lie down.
Jan laid on the table in the exam room. Daniel brought out the tube of gel that is used for ultrasounds.
DANIEL: This will feel a bit cold...but...you'll get used to it...after a minute or two.
JAN: Okay.
DANIEL: Now, pull up your shirt.
Jan sat up.
JAN: What?
DANIEL: Pull up your shirt.
JAN: No!
DANIEL: Jan, it's the only way that I can perform the ultrasound. I need to make sure that the baby is healthy. Now, lie back down and pull up your shirt.
Jan stood up.
JAN: No! No, this doesn't feel right.
DANIEL: Jan, this will only take a few minutes. It's normal procedure.
Daniel put his hand on Jan's shoulder.
JAN: Get your hand off me.
DANIEL: Just calm down. Take a deep breath.
JAN: Get your hand off of me!
DANIEL: I'm just trying to help.
JAN: I said get your hand off of me!!
DANIEL: Jan...
Jan jerked Daniel's hand off of her shoulder and proceeded to punch Daniel in the face.
JAN: Listen, you perverted freak, I have been down that road before! And I am NEVER going back again!!! Never!
A man wearing sunglasses was standing outside the exam room. He shook his head, put a hand through his slicked-back hair, and walked away.

BRADY PUB
Will is sitting at a table, eating lunch. A hand taps him on the shoulder. Will turns around and sees who it is that tapped his shoulder. He reacts with a look of shock.
WILL: You...

That's what I think too. Lucas at the pub. I think it's Paul Mendez who's stalking Jan, even though he's supposed to be dead.

Love Jan punching out Daniel. Even if he was on the up and up, his reputation precedes him.

It's not the ultrasound that she's freaking out about so much as it is the fact that, the last time a man told her to pull up her shirt, she got raped by said man. Daniel is, as always, being his normal pig-headed self. Jan's already stated that she feels uncomfortable around him. So, she freaked out because she had a flashback of when she was raped by Mendez. Hope this helps!

The 1st time Jan felt uncomfortable with Daniel, she should have gotten a new OB-GYN... oh wait it wouldn't be a new Ob-gyn as Daniel isn't one himself...!!! ;D

Thanks for the chapter Andre. I am thinking that whovere is stalking Jan is up to doing something with the baby. Loved that Jan punched Dan in the face. (I have wanted to do that a few times to him as well) The ultrasound did not get done. I was waiting for the results. Anxious to see who it was at the Pub. I don't think it is the same person as the one following Jan.
