I can't wait to find out. I'm also wondering if they are going to let the viewers see who the killer is and just have the characters trying to figure out what happened or make it a mystery to us too.

Serena dies as part of the new Salem Serial killer storyline Debuting this week  i did read that the killer will be revealed to the Audience not Salem tho in Nov around the 50th Anniversary. i also read the salem serial killer storyline will not be done right away lol its going way into the New year..i read that in the new Sod magazine. hope that helps..sorry to disapoint you..id love to see who the killer is too..but sadly were have to wait tell Nov. i wonder however who the killer will turn out to be..i read its not Clyde or Xander cause there both leaving. maybee there be killed off..ha i dont care who the killer is as long as its not our Marlena again..they would never do that to us would they? i think it will be someone we all know..maybee it will be Andre..in the 80's he was the Salem Slasher. doning masks even Roman so you never know..gotta wait tell Nov sweeps to find out |

I think I prefer not knowing anyway. It's more fun to try and guess. Hopefully they will do a good job with the cover up.

Okay, yeah, I did no expect they would show us the killer before the Nov. sweeps, but I hoped they would end the storyline at that point too. I don't want another dragging storyline. If that is how this writing team will operate, I fear I will lose interest.
I thought I read that all of this excitement about the 50th anniversary is just a nice way to say good-bye to the show, and in reality the show will end after its 51st year. Given what happened to AMC and OLTL on ABC (the shows relocating to the west coast to be filmed, all with a big to-do about the move), only to ultimately be cancelled shorty thereafter, I tend to believe there may be some truth in this theory. On the other hand, I also understand that the shows that replaced AMC and OLTL actually get fewer ratings than they did in the same time slots, ha! ha! So maybe that will give NBC pause about cancelling the show.
I am along for the ride for now, but hope ths show doesn't become too cumbersome and does not engage in character assassination. If so, I think my viewing will not be so regular. |

That was definitely before my time. ............................................................................. hi twinklingmoon, yup marlena was a serial killer but not by her choose..it was all Andre Dimera who programed marlena to kill. well sort of..in her minds eye she saw her self killing those ppl but in reality they were all shot by a poisonous dart that stimulated death. she supposely killed Abe, Caroline,Roman,Doug williams,Victor,Maggie,Cassie, jack and Alice Horton. but none of the death were real..they were all taken to a look alike island that looked just like Salem...all of that took place in 2003. marlena was shot and killed by the police but she was not really dead.she was also taken to that island where she found out no one was killed and she was innocent hope that helps you out. |

The was such a horrible, horrible storyline! Looking back, it wasn't as bad as the Tomlin/Whitesell era because at least it was well-written and compelling. But it was so violent and disturbing. I stopped watching after Doug died and Maggie was beaten to death with a broken wine bottle. As long as they kill off people I can't stand this time, I'm good with it. Marlena, Maggie, Victor, Doug, etc. better be off limits because doing that to us twice would just be too much - especially during the 50th celebration!

exactly! i agree with you on that. but from what i read..ken corday said starting Sept 1 when someone dies they are dead for reals. well Serena is killed this week so is she really dead? sure looked like it from the promo..her eyes wide open..scary  from the looks of it she was Strangled to death with a mans Tie. i have a feeling these deaths are going to be grusome  |
