That's a good motive for Clyde that I hadn't thought of. He had no connection to Serena but she may just have the misfortune of being a pawn in Clyde's games. Being suspected of murder would definitely keep him from Abigail. I still don't know how Stefano could let all of that happen to Chad though. He's supposed to be all-knowing and all-powerful.

That's one of the things I am hoping we get some explanation/reasoning for ... because it makes no sense how Stefano can know stuff like Abigail going for a pregnancy test after sexing up EJ and yet he knows nothing Clyde does and doesn't know that Clyde bugged his home.  I'm going to need the real Stefano DiMera back now that we have new writers who seems to remember the show's history.  Why can't Stefano just grab Clyde, throw him down in the dungeons, or send him off to Italy and out that window after Kristen and almost after Marlena?!  Stefano once kidnapped the whole damn town.  He can rid us of Clyde easily.  And he owes Victor, so let's get this done!

heroicmuse ... it's so weird to be excited about the show again!  And to be speculating about things I am eager to see coming up.  I've missed this feeling.  It was not easy to stick with the show for the past few months!

Question: Does Serena die near the same bench where EJ and Nick were gunned down?

With all the talk of drug crimes, I'm wondering if she gets caught in the middle of a drug war. Kyle has a gun, that much we know. Maybe he was trying to force Serena to smuggle drugs out of the country using the elephant statue and she tells him the elephants are broken and he kills her.

I hadn't considered Kyle! Interesting, Kpatch. It does indeed look like she's in Murder Park when Eric finds her. Yet everyone will continue to stroll through there at night alone..

Also looks like they are taking Chad in a different direction...not sure I will this change, as I was so happy with what we saw in the past few weeks. Now it seems like we are going to return to familiar territory...a DiMera lying about something.

Any thoughts as to who the serial killer is? I assume it's suppose to be a serial killer. My guess it will be Andre/Tony...whichever character they decide to bring back from the dead, lol!

whoever the serial killer is..its someone we least suspect. i'm thinking it could be Will horton ha he could of lost all touch with reality after sonny left him. but again would he really do that to his little girl? then again there setting the stage for Chad to be the prime suspect cause he will be experiencing black outs.

hi Kpatch, Serena dies in a bed of Roses shes murdered by the Salem Serial killer. shes his or hers first victim. that story line starts next week. i am sad to see her go actaully cause i do like the Actress. but there was so much potential for Serena but i guess they wanted her to be one of the murder victims. i wonder who will be next..if its Teressa..ill open up the Champayne and Celebrate

This sounds like a good promo. I can't believe that the writing is starting to pick up finally and I hope it continues to improve. I can't wait to have my faves hopefully be improved/salvaged with better writing now that it's arrived.

unavitasegreta  I totally agree about being puzzled by Clyde's free reign over Salem. Why the heck can't Stefano or Victor have him whacked? Makes no sense. Clyde is new in town and should have no "infrastructure" in Salem to run his operations to the same degree as Stefano and Victor. And yet, he's managed to get EJ killed and Stefano is clueless about this!!! Plus, he's responsible for Sonny getting stabbed (or shot, I can't remember which it was), and instead of retaliating, Victor backs off. But magically, Aiden Jennings gets the dirt on Clyde, say what? Makes ZERO sense.

After reading everyone's thoughts, I am wondering whether Clyde will be involved in all of this serial killing and that will finally knock all of these useless characters out of the show, including Clyde himself, ha! ha!

not sure if this is a spoiler or rumor but i read Clyde will be leaving the show soon..so sources say he will be one of the killings of the new Serial killer in Salem if thats true i say good riddens to that hillbilly pieace of Trash ha

on another note there is away to netrolize Clyde and his names Ben! i believe Clyde does love his son. so his weakness is his son Ben. some fans think Ben may end up being the serial killer ha how ironic if Ben wacks his old man

I am puzzled by why Ben would kill Serena...he seems to be clueless as to what his father's business really is. It would make more sense to me if Clyde was the killer and started killing people he felt were a threat to him/his business. Maybe Serena uncovers something about his drug dealings, given her involvement with Xander. I would think that Serena would have leverage with Victor though. How is it possible for Xander, who apparently worked for Victor, to be involved with drug trafficking and for Serena to be clueless that Xander had Victor's backing all along? For that matter, how the heck is anyone in the Kiarakis family not assuming or at the very least confronting Victor, about his business transactions with Xander? Eric knows about the drugs, thanks to Serena, and the connection with Xander and the drug trafficking. Wouldn't he have shared that information with Brady, given how chummy they are showing these 2 brothers now? And then by common logic, wouldn't Brady confront Victor about his ongoing illegitimate businesses, including drug trafficking? Once again, a storyline that makes no sense, and yet, I keep watching this show, ha! ha! What does that say about me?

I have to say, I am thrown by the scene of Serena slapping Chad. Have those 2 even had single scene together? And yet, now, out of nowhere, we're supposed to believe that Chad thinks he killed her because of some slap? Why would they even have any cause to interact with each to lead to a slap? This is where the new writing team/story arch will be showing it's hand.

Still hope they keep Chad the way he is, and not another version of EJ...or even worse, crazy Andre! Yikes!

Just had a thought. I think someone said somewhere that the actress who plays Abby posted a pic of herself online with her hands all dirty/nails in rough shape, and she indicated it was due to a storyline. What if the serial killer comes after her, but she manages to fight them off? Will be interesting if the serial killer storyine will tie in all of the characters, including those "elders" of the show who are returning.
