I'm so glad Philip finally sees the light! It looks like Dr Richards' technique was the right thing to do after all. I'm glad Parker will continue counseling and I hope Philip and Chloe do as well.

I'm so glad to hear that Parker is doing better, and that Philip and Chloe aren't angry anymore! Great chapter, Kpatch!

I think Chloe and Philip are so happy with the progress they've made that it's hard to stay angry with Dr. Richards.

Chapter 66a
November 11th
It was about 11:30 in the morning and Philip was in his office at his desk, reviewing financials for the previous month. He was eager to get the Beats venture off the ground. His father and Brady had both been lukewarm toward the partnership from the very beginning, but Philip's gut told him it would be a slam dunk, and he couldn’t wait to tell them "I told you so."
He glanced at the time on his computer screen. He and Chloe were planning to take Parker out to lunch. It was the little guy’s fifth birthday, and it was just the first of many celebrations they were planning for him this week. The daycare center was also having a little party for him, just as they did for each child on their birthday.
His cell buzzed and he picked it up, still focused on the spreadsheet data. He took a quick glance at the display. It was a text from Deb Pryce, the child psychologist working at the Titan day care center, and there was an attachment. It was a link to a live video. Philip’s whole body flushed with apprehension as he clicked the video. This was bad news.
*
Meanwhile, Chloe was downstairs in her office meeting with a couple people from her department about the big Beats launch that the entire division was involved with. They were finalizing their media strategy when Chloe’s cell phone went off. Chloe was about to send it to voicemail when she saw that it was a text from Deb Pryce. “Um. I need to take this,” she told her colleagues. She stood up and walked over to the window as she clicked the link.

Hmm... Hope they are overreacting and it is just a video of Parker having a great time on his birthday!
So does this mean they fired Dr Richards as Parkers psychologist? Lol

You could almost feel them cringe.... This is how I imagine my students' parents feel when they see a message from me in their inbox!

So does this mean they fired Dr Richards as Parkers psychologist? Lol No, Deb Pryce is a colleague of Dr. Richards' who she recommended to Philip and Chloe so someone could keep an eye on Parker at daycare. This was back in Chapter 55c, when Dr. Richards told Parker's parents that Parker needed to be back in daycare instead of home with a nanny. myhourglass.proboards.com/post/263387/threadAnd she was also mentioned in the chapter before this one, when Dr. Richards noted that Deb said Parker was doing well in daycare.

If it was bad news, surely the daycare would have called by now.

Chapter 66b
Chloe’s cell phone went off and she was about to send it to voicemail when she saw that it was a text from Deb Pryce. “Um. I need to take this,” she told her colleagues. She stood up and walked over to the window as she clicked the link.
The live video showed Parker and another little boy named Dustin fighting over a toy weapon.
Dustin snatched the laser out of Parker’s hands and was waving it around yelling “Mine. It’s mine.” He poked Parker in the side with it. “You’re dead!”
That got Parker’s parents’ attention. “Hey,” Parker said. “Stop that.” Parker squinted at Dustin the same way Philip squinted when he was annoyed. “That’s my birfday present,” Parker replied, reaching for the tip of the fake laser.
“No. You get your own. This one is mine.” Dustin lunged at Parker again.
Oh god, Chloe panicked. Parker’s going to get angry and hit Dustin! “I need to take care of something,” she called to her coworkers as she rushed out of her office.
As soon as she was outside her door, she physically bumped into Philip. “I was coming to get you,” he said, joining her as they rushed down the corridor. “Did you —” He saw that she was holding her cell phone. “Oh, you did. You got the video from Deb too.”
“I hope we’re not too late,” Chloe fretted. “I mean, she won’t let Parker hit Dustin, right?”
“If he doesn’t, I just might,” Philip threatened. “Did you see him stab Parker with that sword?”

Parker seemed to be handling the situation just fine. Was that the whole video? I have a feeling his parents are panicking over nothing.

Um, I think Dr Pryce may need to be working with more than one kid in this daycare!
