LOL. I like Dr. Richards' reasoning, though I also can understand Philip feeling a bit manipulated. I do think there was a lot of truth in what she said to Philip in the first place though, that he needed to be aware of certain things. I'm interested to hear Philip and Chloe's response to this. I hope there will be previews Kpatch.

Thanks for your enthusiasm guys! Loved your comments this week.
Those of you who remembered Dr. Richards thinking about doing something drastic like she did with the Fergusons were right (good recall!). I am personally not a huge fan of manipulating patients, but if Philip and Chloe can come through it intact or better, I will keep my opinions to myself.
As for next week, some previews…
-Philip and Chloe react to Dr. Richard’s tactics.
-Parker faces a big decision on his fifth birthday.
-Philip and Chloe have reason to panic.

I'm not a huge fan of manipulating patients either, but I am a huge fan of people's eyes being opened. LOL Thanks for the previews Kpatch. This sounds great! Can't wait for Parker's birthday! And to see what the reaction is and why they are panicking now.

I don't think that Dr. Richards manipulated Philip & Chloe - unless she was the one responsible for Monica showing up in Philip's office and kissing him. If that's what she did, then I have a HUGE problem than that.

Chapter 65e
“Look, I wouldn’t have tried this three months ago, but I felt you’re both strong enough to handle it, even if you yourselves didn’t know it. So I pushed the envelope. And see?” Dr. Richards opened her arms. “No harm no foul. The end justifies the means. Wouldn’t you agree,” she said, but it was more of a statement than a question.
Chloe shook her head from side to side in disbelief. The doctor had orchestrated the whole thing.
Philip rolled his eyes. “I wouldn’t say no harm, no foul,” he said, but Chloe could tell that Philip was no longer as angry. He rubbed his forehead. “I have to say, Doc, that was bull. But it worked. Well played,” he nodded at her as a show of respect.
“Thank you, Philip.” She looked at her computer screen. “Looks like we’re just about at the three-month mark anyway, and when we started couples counseling, we committed to three months. So, if you feel you want to fly solo, that’s fine. If you’d like to continue working with me or a different counselor, that’s fine too. As I always say, this process is a journey, not a destination and the journey isn’t over. But regardless of your decision about couples counseling, I would still like to continue working with Parker. Deb says he’s doing quite well in daycare and he’s come a long way. I don’t want to erode our progress.”
“I agree,” Chloe said quickly. Then she looked at Philip and realized she shouldn’t have answered for the both of them. She shouldn’t assume she knows what he’s thinking. “I mean, Philip and I need to talk about it.”
Philip looked downward and smiled to himself. Chloe wondered what he was thinking, but she didn’t have to wonder for long. Reaching for Chloe’s hand, Philip nodded at her. “Chloe is right. We both agree.”

Love this chapter. I am glad that Parker is doing better. Hope that Phillip and Chloe continue couple counciling with Dr. Richards. Also glad that Phillip recognized what's he she as a GOOD thing!! He is growing up!

I can definitely see Philip the high-powered CEO appreciating someone willing to make a big gamble, though I'm a little more surprised that Chloe was on board. I'm excited to see Parker and hear more about his progress (though I'll be a little disappointed if he can't respond in some way to Nancy and Victor, should they get nasty).
