I wish Philip wouldn't have twisted Dr. Richards' words because she didn't tell him to do anything. She just told him to be aware that Chloe has trust issues and decide if he can live with that. EXACTLY!!! That's what I've been saying all along. I don't think that the doctor could have been any more to the point on what she was telling Philip. She told him that Chloe has trust issues that she may never get over. And she asked him if he could live with that. you can't get much more direct than that without crossing the patient confidentiality line. She can't control how Philip interprets what she says. Just like Philip couldn't control what Chloe thought in the beginning about him cheating or Chloe not being able to control Philip's thoughts/feelings about Chloe not believing and trusting in him.

I personally think she could have been way more direct, at one point Philip thought she was hitting on him and reading it I had to agree I don't think Philip twisted what the Dr. said I believe it is how he interpreted it Also I am taking this as fanfic for a soap, so I am half expecting that the doc wants a bit of Philip, that's the kind of drama that gets everyone hooked on a soap!

Chapter 62d
By now, Chloe wasn’t sure what to think. “But you kissed Monica,” she repeated almost robotically.
“You said that already,” he chuckled. “I would say it meant nothing, but that wouldn’t be completely honest. It turned out to be a wake-up call. And I needed you to know about it right away because I wanted to get it out in the open. I told her she got the wrong idea and I’m not interested.”
Chloe shook herself, the reality of the situation sinking in. “You need to fire her. … If I don’t kill her first. … Oh wait. If you fire her, she might claim harassment and sue. I know! Reassign her. Put her in a job she’ll hate so she’ll quit.”
“I like the way you think. Like a lawyer,” he laughed.
Chloe finally relaxed as she gazed at Philip. “So … you’re not really miserable … with me, I mean?”
“Only when I’m not with you.” He brought her fingers to his lips. “Chloe, there’s only one woman for me, and that’s you.” He looked down. “The truth is, I never got over the fact you didn’t trust me, and ironically I just gave you a reason not to.” Looking into her eyes, he said, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry about last night. I’m sorry about today. Say you forgive me. Let me make it up to you, sweetheart.”
Chloe looked away for minute. “I’ll think about it.” Then she turned back to Philip and smiled. “Okay, I’ve thought about it, and yes, I forgive you. You’ve forgiven me for way worse, but you owe me a night at the opera.”
Smiling broadly, he rose from his kneeling position holding onto the arms of her chair and leaned over to kiss her. “I owe you a lot more than that, baby.”
Chloe pressed her hand to Philip’s chest to hold him at bay. “Don’t!”

Whew! That could have gone badly wrong....
(I hope Chloe makes Philip go wash his hands and face and brush his teeth before he touches her...heaven only knows how many germs Monica is spreading if she goes round slobbering on everyone...)

Um, okay... I thought Chloe's forgiveness was super fast. Wonder why she doesn't want Philip to kiss her. I like melly's idea.

Yeah, I have to agree with melly, as well. Glad Philip told her that he only wants her, though. Great chapter, Kpatch.

Or perhaps it's because they're at work?

I'm glad that they talked about Philip's session with Dr. Richards and him kissing Monica. It's good that Philip admitted his lingering hurt and anger about Chloe not trusting him.

Chapter 63a
Philip followed Chloe up the flights of staircase leading to the roof using the stairwell normally reserved for emergencies. Was she lulling him into a false sense of security, he wondered, pretending to forgive him for kissing Monica, yet really planning to push him off the roof? Nah, she wouldn’t do that to her son’s father, he told himself in the midst of an odd bit of inner dialogue. But she did push him away when he tried to kiss her in her office; she told him to brush his teeth, then meet her at the stairwell. To Philip, that sounded more like a prelude to a kiss than a prelude to a kill.
Even so, when she said to meet him at the door to the stairwell on the 15th floor, this isn’t where he thought she’d be taking him. But at this point, things were tenuous, thanks to his poor judgment, so he decided it was better to obey her orders than to question her in that moment.
When they reached the top landing, Chloe pushed open the door and suddenly they were outdoors on the roof of the building. It was a cool October morning, but clear as a bell and you could practically see Indiana from up here.
“Okay, what are we doing….”
“Shhhh,” Chloe warned. “This is super important.” She walked around the rooftop, peering around architectural curves like a female James Bond.
“You come here often,” he asked, half-joking.
“I sometimes eat lunch up here,” she answered, pointing to the tables and chairs tucked in the shade under an overhang. “Quite a few people do.”
Philip had no clue. He’d never been up here before in his life.
“I had to be sure we were alone first,” she said, returning to the spot where Philip stood watching her. “This is super important. But first things first.”
She shocked Philip by putting her arms around him and pulling him into an open-mouthed kiss. He melted into the passionate surprise, sliding his arms around her, dipping her backwards a little, and forcing her to hold him tighter to keep from falling.

Aww sweet.
I laughed at Philip thinking Chloe was going to push him off the roof. He's thinking too much like his father.

Now....the question is, what does Chloe do after the kiss? (She may still push him over the side!)
