As always, thank you for continuing to follow this saga, and especially for posting comments. Let's see if Philip can find a way to soften Chloe's heart this week.
Preview time.
Philip explains his interpretation of Dr. Richards’ advice.
Chloe keeps Philip at arms length.
Eventually, she takes him somewhere he’s never been before.
By week’s end, Philip and Chloe are both stunned by an important revelation.

Chapter 62c
“Dr. Richards told me that … well, she told me that I should keep my options open, that love shouldn’t be such a struggle and that I should find someone who … who doesn’t distrust me.”
Philip had Chloe’s full attention now. She felt her anger rising, but now the target was shifting from Philip to Dr. Richards. “Seriously?? She said that to you?”
“Yeah. I know. But it was eating away at me all week, and I started thinking that maybe she was right.” When he saw Chloe’s eyes flash, he held his hands up. “Let me finish, okay?”
Chloe merely stared at Philip and he swallowed hard before continuing. “See, what I didn’t realize is the part that bothered me most was the fact that she had no right to say that in the first place. First of all, that’s not her job. And second, she’s wrong. Dead wrong. Because I don’t want to be with any other woman.”
Chloe leaned away and folded her arms. Philip was sort of making sense, but she wasn’t completely convinced. “But you just told me you kissed Monica.”
“Technically, she kissed me, but ….”
Chloe’s eyes widened and she unfolded her arms when she remembered Monica pumping her for information this morning about the status of Chloe’s relationship with Philip. “That little bitch! I told her not even an hour ago that we weren’t together anymore and she already made a move on you?”
“I guess. But….” Philip squinted at her. “Wait. Why would you tell her that? Is she like your new BFF?”
“No, it … it just came up. Nevermind,” Chloe said, not wanting to veer off topic. “That’s not important. But didn’t I tell you not to be alone with her?”
“Yes, and you were right. One hundred percent. But by the time I remembered, it was too late. But Chloe, kissing another woman brought me back to reality. Richards doesn’t know what the hell she’s talking about,” he said, angrily waving at the air. He took her hand and touched her face with his other hand. “Chloe, there’s only you. That’s never going to change. Never.”
By now, Chloe wasn’t sure what to think. “But you kissed Monica,” she repeated almost robotically.
“You said that already,” he chuckled. “I would say it meant nothing, but that wouldn’t be completely honest.”

Ok--so we appear to be on the same page about what Dr Richards said (though I'm SURE she'll have an excellent reason for what she said??) but Philip had better have a good follow up to what that kiss meant...
And, please, can we just get rid of Monica? Maybe establish an office in Madagascar?

I wish Philip wouldn't have twisted Dr. Richards' words because she didn't tell him to do anything. She just told him to be aware that Chloe has trust issues and decide if he can live with that.
There are better ways to figure that out besides kissing another woman, and I didn't like Philip trying to shift the blame to Monica for the kiss, either. I'm glad he has decided Chloe is the only woman for him but I wouldn't blame her for taking her time before she takes him back.

What Phillip means when he said "I would say it meant nothing, bit that wouldn't be completely honest" is it meant that Chloe is the ONLY one he ever wants to kiss!!!

Yeah, I don't think Philip heard what Dr. Richards actually said, or maybe he forgot. Either way, I'm excited to see what happens next! Great chapter, Kpatch! |

I completely understand Philip's interpretation of what Dr. Richards said
whether it was what she meant or not it may not have been the right choice of words for Philip
I get it because I am the same way, I like things said to the point not in some stupid code that these doctors make up, IMO it's a way of covering themselves in case their advice doesn't work
I was not a fan of the Doc last few weeks, so I understand where Philip is coming from
Also if I had the trust issues that Chloe had, her method may have rubbed me the wrong way
I am really interested to see how Chloe take's this!
