Chapter 62a
Chloe was pounding her computer keyboard as if she were angry with it. What she really wanted to do was pick it up and throw it through the window. Her shoulders were tight and her jaw was clenched and she just couldn’t let go of the anger she felt.
Her head shot up when she heard her office door close with a loud bang. To her shock, Philip was standing in her office.
“I kissed Monica,” he blurted out.
Chloe’s lips parted. Did he just say what she thought he said? He kissed Monica??? Bastard! Despite her rising anger, she was determined not to give Philip the satisfaction of seeing how much that bothered her, so she continued hitting the keys on her keyboard. “Good for you. You’re a single man with no attachments. You can do whatever the hell you please.”
“You don’t understand,” he said, marching toward her desk and kneeling beside her chair. “I kissed Monica because I thought she was you.”
Was this his lame attempt to make her feel special? If so, he missed by a mile. “Go to hell, Philip,” she said, looking back at her screen.
“I’m not explaining myself very well,” Philip mumbled, staring at Chloe’s fingers typing relentlessly. “Damn, it made perfect sense when I was talking to myself about it.”
Chloe looked up and raised her eyebrows. “Sounds like you inherited your mother’s penchant for crazy. You’re making absolutely no sense.” Philip touched her arm, but Chloe elbowed him off. “Go away.”

I think we might need Dr. Richards in here for this situation. I knew Chloe wouldn't take this very well. Great chapter, Kpatch!

Chloe's line about Kate....perfect.
Philip's going to have a tough time talking his way out of this.

I agree with André DiMera. Dr. Richards might be able to help straighten this out. Maybe. I doubt Philip will go away just because Chloe said so. I'm glad he at least attempted to tell her the truth.

I agree that Dr Richards needs to be involved. LOVED Phillip just blurting out "I kissed Monica". Too funny!!!

well it could have been worse I'm glad he told her himself rather than her finding out from Monica or even worse HR with a big scandle, which I realize could still happen this is at least redeemable I personally would like to see them work it out without dr. Richards they need to learn to communicate without a third party and Philip may have done it a little crazy but coming forward at all is a huge step, they should run with it!

Philip could have started with an apology for his actions on their date. What did he expect?? She was already mad after the way he blindsided her last night. Then he walks in and says he kissed Monica. I don't know what reaction he was expecting.

Chapter 62b
Chloe looked up and raised her eyebrows. “Sounds like you inherited your mother’s penchant for crazy. You’re making absolutely no sense.” Philip touched her arm, but Chloe elbowed him off. “Go away. Can you please just leave me alone?”
“No, that’s just it. I can’t. I can’t leave you and I won't. … And by the way, I’m firing Dr. Richards,” he said with a half-smile. "She’s the one who’s crazy, not me.”
Chloe turned to look at Philip and squinted at him like he was out of his mind. “Have you been drinking?”
Philip chuckled. “No, I haven’t been drinking. Planning to, yes. Actually drinking, no. … Chloe, please,” he touched her arm again. “I need you to listen to me.”
“Why should I?” she said through clenched teeth.
“Because I love you.”
She shook her head with obvious annoyance. “Sheesh Philip. And I used to think I was the crazy one.”
“What’s crazy is the way I behaved last night. Okay,” he sighed. “Here’s what happened. Dr. Richards told me that … well, she told me that I should keep my options open, that love shouldn’t be such a struggle and that I should find someone who … who doesn't distrust me.”
Philip had Chloe’s full attention now. She felt her anger rising, but now the target was shifting from Philip to Dr. Richards. “Seriously?? She said that to you?”
“Yeah. I know. But it was eating away at me all week, and I started thinking that maybe she was right.” When he saw Chloe’s eyes flash, he held his hands up. “Let me finish, okay?"

Can't wait to see how Philip explains this! At least he's telling Chloe why he was acting the way he did. Can we please have previews, Kpatch?

Hmmm. Not sure I like the whole blaming the doctor aspect this is taking on.
Dr. Richards gave Philip some very realistic & possible scenarios to think about. She didn't flat out tell him to drop Chloe. Philip's hot headed nature did that to him because he didn't want to hear that Chloe may never get over her trust issues. Philip reacted without really thinking things through.....and I think that part of his conversation with the doctor is going to get lost here in this explanation.
Has Chloe even seen Dr. Richards since Philip's appointment?

I agree with mae00 . Dr. Richards did NOT tell Philip to break up with Chloe and she certainly did not tell him to go kiss Monica. She made him aware of his problems with Chloe's trust issues and he chose to react stupidly. Firing Dr. Richards will accomplish nothing and might make things worse. That being said, I'm interested to see the rest of this conversation. Can we please have previews Kpatch ?

I am not opposed to ditching the doc I didn't care for her approach on this and well other things as well I think her role in their relationship has "jumped the shark" I am hoping there are previews because I would like to hear the end of Philip's little epiphany!
