Hmmm...this Monica thing could play out either way. But Monica only had eyes for another guy in the office back when all of this started. I don't remember his name but are they still together?

Hmmm.... I wonder if Chloe will run into Philip today. I definitely didn't expect Monica to be the one helping her clean up the mess.

Chloe nodded. “That’s true. He was.” Although Chloe doubted he was a hopeless romantic anymore. “So,” curiosity was getting the best of Chloe, “did it work? Did you and Dean….”

Chapter 60a
Philip kept glancing at the time display on the computer on his desk. Only 10:00?? Felt like at least 3:00 in the afternoon. Damn, time was creeping this morning. Every minute that went by was a minute he kept himself from calling Chloe; he felt like an addict fighting off the desire to shoot up.
Right now, he could use a drink. In fact, he’d love one. Tonight. Tonight he would go home to his temporary-turned-permanent apartment and empty a few bottles of scotch, right down his throat.
Maybe Dr. Richards would be happy, maybe she’d be proud of him for backing away from Chloe, but as for Philip, he was beyond miserable. Miserable with her. Miserable without her. He treated her like dirt last night and he wasn’t even sure why. Did he really want to end things that way? Was he really better off without Chloe? Or was he out of his mind for letting Dr. Richards’ power of suggestion cause him to throw away the love of his life?
He shook himself and attempted to push aside his thoughts and concentrate on work. He’ll save the introspection for later. If he got drunk enough tonight, maybe he’d jump off the terrace. It felt like his life was over anyway.
“Hi,” he heard a female voice say. His mood elevated for a nanosecond, thinking it was Chloe. When he looked up, his face fell. It was the last person he expected to see.
“Well that’s not exactly the reaction I was hoping for,” Monica said, walking into his office.

(I have my fingers crossed that a) Monica is going to try to patch things up between Philip and Chloe, b) what Dr Richards was trying to do was make Philip see that he's very unhappy without Chloe, and c) we get previews!)

Oy. Philip needs to pay attention to his feelings. If he is feeling this bad it means that he made a mistake by doing what he did. Instead of deciding that Dr. Richards wanted him to break up with Chloe and that's what he should do, he needs to trust his own judgment. And not do an Eric and drown his sorrows in alcohol either. (Or in grief sex with Monica, which I hope does not happen.) Can we please have previews Kpatch? |

Thanks Kpatch! My mind drew a blank on that. Philip needs to slow down and think about things. That boy needs a therapist, not just for his relationship with Chloe but to get to the bottom of his quick temper and refusal to think outside of his little "my way or no way" box. Dr. Richards gave him some great things to think about, but he's not going about it the right way at all.... |

I hate to do this, but I would suggest skipping next week’s chapters because you ain’t gonna like it.
Here are previews. You decide whether to tune in or not.
-Philip makes a biiiig mistake.
-He comes up with a plan to deal with the consequences.
-Chloe has a hard time believing what Philip did.
