OK, so I am watching the show right now and there are so many things I have to comment on.
I wish Tommy was not part of the show. Why did they have to create him? I want Bill dead, dead, dead. I despise him these days with every fibre of my being. I guess I hate/dislike things with as much of me as I do love/like things. LOL I really wish they had Tara playing more of the same role she does in the book. Tara actually looks good in this episode. I love Alcide. I hate Debbie. I love Alcide. I really don't like what they did to Alcide and Sookie in the books. Grr. Did I mention that I love Alcide? Ohhh... I am so mad at Tommy. Not liking him at all. Andy Bellefleur is not a V addict in the books. I don't like that they did this either. I don't get this old vampire/witch stuff that Marnie keeps dreaming about. Another creation of the show. I hate not knowing where they are going with it. I really like Lafayette. I enjoyed how the true death sentencing played out. LOVED the ending...

So agree with the Tommy story... there is absolutely no good redeeming quality at all in him. He's a piece of trash that needs to DIE!!! Let's hope it happens ASAP!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the ending!!
I don't like Bill in the books or in the series but I was actually pleasantly surprised by this episode - I thought for sure it was going to be someone else that had to stop him and I even felt a bit of empathy for him at the end - I still don't like him though.... and I still love Eric!
I liked Jason and Jessica's scenes but I'm completely baffled by what they are doing with Jason's story - he is supposed to be a werepanther - maybe there will be more to come with that in the next episode.
I'm intrigued by the Mikey story and wondering how that plays into everything else.
I also love Lafayette and Jesus and Lafayette & Jesus as a couple. I love Tara too but I want her with Sam. I kind of like Sam with the female shifter he's seeing too (I'm drawing a blank on her name - is it really Luna or is that just my imagination?) but I agree about Tommy. I have no use for that character and he is just messing everything up for my Sam.

Yeah her name is Luna. I like her too. I'm so mad at Tommy for what he did but I'm Wondering if he and Luna won't connect on some level as they can both shift into other people. That's a special gift. I would prefer he died tho.
I loved Jason and Jessica scenes too but was annoyed he didn't change.
I want Sam and Tara together too. He'd be so good for her.
The ending was so nice. I loved everything about it. Specially the backgrounds and stuff. It was great. Just one thing missing. "my lover". That annoys me to no end. I Loved that he called her that in the books.
I cannot wait for Quinn to appear. I'm assuming it may be next season! But it's not Comin fast enuf

^^ You are so right, I loved the "my lover" endearment that Eric used with Sookie in the book too!! He was just so "old school" and charming and I could just hear this actor saying "my lover" to her ... maybe it's still coming.

Maybe it will start when they do the shower scene. I read spoilers that they are doing the shower scene but it is a bit different. Fingers crossed! It will wreck the entire season for me if they leave it out

This is why I don't want to read the books, besides I am so behind on my reading. I am enjoying the show as is! The only thing that can spoil it is if Sookie goes back to Bill..

Well I am behind on the books. I just ordered the first one, so whatever is in that should have already been covered. Are they as "graphic" in the books as they are on the show??

Yes and no to the graphic question. Book one I found was mostly exactly Like the show. Minus a few details. The maenad stuff that happens all of season two is only a small Part of the book. Plus all the crazy orgies an stuff that happen in season two is a lot more toned down in the book. It's only a small group Of like 6-7 people Involved in the orgies rather then it being the entire town. But there are other occurrences where its much more graphic.

Just wondering. I wondered how much of a creative license they took on certain things.

It also seems that the books tend to follow Sookie's changes. In the first book she is really shy and inexperienced about such things so it seems like the author is pretty genteel about describing it also. As Sookie loosens up more in the latter books, it seems like the author became more graphic in describing those scenes. I think HBO takes a lot of license though when it comes to those acts in particular.
