I just started book 7 yesterday. I finally met Quinn. Me likey. I hope he shows up in the show as well!
***Book spoilers*** (Just in case anyone didn't want to read them)
I agree with what someone said about them making Bill so loveable in the first season. He is not even really in book 4. He is in Peru so this just makes me mad. He never has sex with Portia (who is a bigger woman who is apparently not all that attractive in the book but is hot on the show...) as he finds out they are family before hand. The curse on Eric really annoyed be because it was done so differently. In the book there were two groups of witches. The bad witches, who were v drinking weres and the wiccans, which Holly was a part of. She was on the good witches side in the witch war. For the show, I think they are spinning it a little differently and they are going to have Jesus and Lafayette be the good witches. I kind of like that turn, but I really don't see why it was necessary to change any of it. I am really anxious for tonights epsiode as they are going to have Bill introduce Eric to the true death. That didn't happen at all in the books. I'm really choked (angry) about it.
I also really enjoy Jessica, but it also annoyed me that she was the one who found Jason on the side of the road and saved him. In the books, it is Sookie and Sam who saves him from Felton's shed. He wasn't even taken in order to make were-panther babies either. Nor was he raped by all the women. He was held captive by Felton becuase he wanted to make Jason just like him so that Crystal wouldn't like Jason better then him. Also Crystal was a black haired woman and the people of hot shot aren't as hillbilly as they are making them out to be either. That makes me super mad.
Sorry for the rant. LOL But it felt good to get my concerns off my chest.
I hope they go with the book and the whole Debbie/Alcide/Sookie situation happens EXACTLY as it did in the book (tho it would have to be a little different as Debbie is a were-lynx in the book who gets abjured from the were pack).

^^ I totally agree with all of that GG! The same things annoy me too ... and I'm especially ticked and offended by the changes to the Hotshot storyline and the way they are portrayed on the show - there was no need to go with the usual Hollywood stereotyping of the stupid, inbred, violent redneck criminals that seems to always be a requirement for any show set in the South.

I haven't read any books but remember True Blood is just based on the books.

Ugh, I missed it. Gonna have to watch it online again. We were outside playing too long and then I had to get the kids to bed so I didn't get done in time to watch. Now I can't wait!!
