I now have HBO as of 2 days ago. Can I start watching season 5 or do I have to rent the first season to get started? Seasons 5 and 6 are the ones available on HBO on-demand.

There are 2 episodes left for this season. I wouldn't recommend jumping in now.. You really need to watch in order. You can try watching but you will probably be lost. It is very complicated.

Guess I will have to rent the seasons to catch up. I wish they had more of them available on-demand. I suppose I could watch an episode or two to see if I like it and want to rent them. I've never watched anything vampire related besides Interview with a Vampire.

This can be pretty gory at times. So I hope you do not mind blood.
Oh & hubby just informed me Sunday's show is the season finale... it will probably be very intense.

It isn't gory so much as they like fake blood. I can't watch blood and guts movies but True Blood doesn't bother me too much.

Just watched season one episode one. I can hardly wait to watch more. I found all of the episodes are available on HBO on-demand online through my cable company. Only seasons 5 and 6 are available on-demand on TV.
Looks like I may not get a lot done this week.
