Hello, everybody! This is sevenna92! Here with you today is a new story! Now I’m not going to update too regularly right now especially because with all of the schoolwork right now but as of right now I’ll just put in the preview and the opening scene. I don’t know if this will ever turn into a series but I think if this story is good enough and if enough people like it I just might. Besides, this looks very interesting enough to expand it into more than one story anyway. But let’s see how it goes. Perhaps sometime this week I’ll write the first scene and upload it. And if I ever get the itch to upload any more scenes and if I have the time, I’ll do so too. And as an added disclaimer, I am not abandoning my other stories and I will complete them, so don't worry. Enjoy!

Thanks for the preview, sevenna92! I'm looking forwar to this story, as well as finding out what Kristen's masterplan is! I do feel bad for Theresa. That's gotta suck. Interested to meet Natalie and see what she's like. Also looking forward to Melanie and Brady's date. Wonder who J.J. encounters? Not sure how I feel about Paige and Cole getting closer. This should be a really good story!

Thanks, André DiMera! I really can't tell you much about Natalie right now except that she's well... a bit out there shall we say. I think you're really going to love who J.J. meets, and here's a hint: it's not someone old enough to be his mom! Yeah, it really sucks what Theresa is going through. But she has Caroline and Eric to help her through. Not to mention Natalie. I think in my first chapter I'm planning to have at least one scene with Theresa and Caroline and probably one with Eric too. We'll see what happens. Yeah, I'm just going to see how Cole and Paige goes. They might be a decent couple so we'll see. Same with Brady and Melanie.

Chapter 1
SCENE 1 – KRISTEN’S LAIR, ITALY
Mandrake was sitting alone in a dark basement looking over some test results. He then picked up one page in particular as a dark smile crossed his face. After he read over a large chart and looked over his notes again, he then turned around towards the door as he heard a loud creak. He then noticed Kristen entering the room as she approached the sinister-looking doctor.
“Ms. DiMera, what a nice surprise to see you,” Mandrake remarked in a smooth, creepy voice. “I hope all is well.”
“I take it everything is going well with that new henchman?” Kristen inquired.
“So far so good. Clint is doing a stupendous job keeping tabs on that woman. That serum I injected into her system to wipe out all memory of the event should still be in effect. No indication that she remembers a thing,” Mandrake answered crisply.
“Excellent!” Kristen chuckled evilly as she walked over to the right far side of the room. Once she got there, she grabbed a white sheet covering a small basket and yanked it off, revealing two newborn babies.
Both of them had blonde hair and blue eyes, but one was a male and had straighter, shorter, dirty blonde hair with darker eyes and the other one was a female with curlier, wavier, lighter platinum blonde hair and her eyes had a tint of light green in them.
“How are my precious little babies?” Kristen cooed sweetly as she picked up the female twin and stroked her hair. The baby cooed softly, blinking its eyes.
Mandrake then walked over to where Kristen was and looked over the twins.
“So what exactly are you planning to do with them?” he asked.
“It’s soon time for me to return to Salem with the children. I will meet with Brady and show him his and Theresa’s son and once I tell him that he is the father of my child I’m sure he will believe me. But in case he has doubts I’ll also tell him that he was high on drugs and alcohol when we made love. That should convince him.”
“But what if he demands a paternity test and then it reveals the truth?” Mandrake queried worriedly.
Kristen then laughed at the doctor’s words, shaking her head.
“Doctor, who can honestly believe paternity tests these days? Besides, I can always fabricate it to have me as Brady Junior’s biological mother. However, if all else fails, I have one last fail safe plan.”
“And what is that?” Mandrake retorted inquisitively, narrowing his eyes.
Kristen then gave him a wide, evil smile before answering.
“I am going to give one of the babies back to Brady and Theresa, but it’s not going to be theirs. They will end up raising my daughter with Brady, and they won’t even know the difference between the twins since they look so alike. And no one would be the wiser. I cannot wait to see the look on that wretched woman’s face when she learns the truth.”
“And while they are raising my child, I will be hiding their son here and bring him up as Stefano’s true heir. I will train him to be the most ruthless, vicious, cold-blooded killer, the most perfect pawn. He will one day replace my father as the true descendent of the Phoenix and he will gather up a massive following that will assist him in not only taking over Salem but also the whole world. We have so many holdings all over the world, so that should be an easy task. The grandson of one of our most reviled enemies will one day bring our family glory.”
“That is an ingenious plan, Ms. DiMera,” Mandrake remarked pithily.
“I couldn’t have said so myself,” Kristen declared arrogantly.
She then put down the female twin and kissed her and B.J. good night. Kristen then turned to look at B.J. with a sickly sweet smile.
“Good night, my little prince. Soon you will be the true supreme ruler of the entire DiMera dynasty.”
She also turned to the female twin.
“Good night, my little Princess Kadie. Mommy wishes you sweet dreams.”
She then walked away with a little chuckle as she headed out of the room. Mandrake then followed her out of the room and closed the door shut.

SCENE 2 – THERESA’S APARTMENT, SALEM
Theresa found herself in a dark room once more as she was strapped down to a bed. She saw a shadowy figure approach her with a needle as she struggled to get away.
“No… what are you doing? Get me out of here! I don’t want to be here! Please, somebody help me! Let me out of here for God’s sake!”
She saw more shadowy figures move towards her with a bunch of distorted voices echoing in her ears. She felt more trapped and cornered as she felt like she couldn’t move and something was holding her back.
“No! Don’t! Stop! Get me out of here! I don’t want to be here! Get me out of here! Somebody help! Let me out! Let me out! Let me out!”
The next thing Theresa knew, she was thrashing wildly in her bed as someone was shaking her awake.
“Get me out of here! Let me out! I want out!”
Theresa! Snap out of it! It’s okay!” a female voice yelled and Theresa bolted upright, gasping and panting for breath.
She turned around to see a slightly dark olive-skinned, petite woman standing over her bed. She had dark, wavy, curling raven locks cascading down her shoulders and thick-rimmed glasses. She also had soft, gentle, dark brown eyes with a slender, slim face. She was wearing dark blue pajamas with puppies on them.
“Natalie?” Theresa muttered as she rubbed her head, dazed yet shaken from her nightmare.
“Another rough night?” Natalie retorted as Theresa nodded and got out of bed, wearing a loose, overflowing black nightgown.
“Yeah. I’ve been having the same dreams for well over a month now. I’m either in the park late at night or I’m in some sort of dark room with a needle coming at me. Sometimes I’m chasing a woman through a dark alleyway holding a strange bundle and every time I try to reach for her she always gets away. Or I think it’s a she.”
“So these dreams really bother you, don’t they?” Natalie quipped. “Do you know what they even mean?”
“No, not a single clue,” Theresa shook her head.
“Weird,” Natalie frowned, not sure what to make of Theresa’s strange nightmares.
“I think I’m going to go to Club TBD to grab some pastries and coffee. Want to come with?” Theresa inquired.
“Sure, why not?” Natalie beamed warmly. “I’d love to come.”
She then scratched her chin thoughtfully and added, “But you know, I was going to cook you up some bacon and eggs, just in case…”
“No, no, no, no-o-o-o…” Theresa laughed sardonically, shaking her head. “You are not going anywhere near my stove again. Not after how you nearly burned down my apartment last night trying to make lasagna.”
‘But that new mystery thriller show was so awesome! I was too wrapped up in how they were going to unravel the affair between the doctor and his lawyer,” Natalie whined petulantly and Theresa rolled her eyes.
“From now on, honey, I’ll do the cooking,” she scoffed.
She then beckoned towards the doorway.
“Come on, let’s get dressed and let’s get out of here.”

I loved Natalie's comment on the doctor/lawyer show. Lol
Great beginning. Theresa's flashbacks are super creepy

Yeah. I see Natalie as more of a less annoying version of Melanie. Sort of. I was actually kind of worried the beginning was going to be kind of boring and cliched especially with Kristen plotting to use B.J. to basically take over Salem and eventually the entire world.
I also wanted to show different nightmarish scenarios because I thought showing her in the park or having the doctor hold the needle over and over again would be pretty boring after a while.
Also, the thing with Kristen/B.J. gave me "Lion King 2" vibes for some reason while I was writing it, with Kristen being the Zira to B.J.'s Kovu.

Now that you mention it, sevenna92, I can kinda see that comparison. I'm looking forward to seeing what Kristen has planned for B.J. and Kadie. Should be cool! Natalie seems nice. I'm glad that Theresa has a friend in this story. Plus, I loved her comment about the doctor and lawyer! That was awesome!

Yeah... I'm kind of a Disney freak, so that's why I made that comment.
I'm glad that Theresa has a friend too. She really needed one besides Anne and I think having someone with a lighter, more positive personality as a foil really humanizes her. It's even more interesting that Natalie is also a DiMera. She's actually Chad's cousin with one of Stefano's younger brothers as her father and an unknown mother. I might reveal who her mom is somewhere down the road though. I have some ideas on who that might be.

SCENE 3 – CLUB TBD, MID MORNING
About an hour and a half later Theresa and Natalie arrived at Club TBD and walked over to the bar to order. T then emerged and stood in front of the two women.
“Oh, hello, Theresa,” he greeted her politely and then he turned to Natalie. “Hi, Natalie.”
“Hey, Tad,” Natalie grinned widely, brushing her hair slightly and twirling it.
“Just call me T, okay?” T laughed.
“Okay,” Natalie nodded, looking down bashfully.
“So what can I get you two ladies?” T inquired, wiping the bar table with a towel.
“I would like some chocolate milk,” Natalie answered.
“I would like a margarita with a lime,” Theresa answered.
“Okay,” T nodded. “Coming right up!” He then walked away to fetch the drinks.
“Seriously? You ordered chocolate milk?” Theresa chuckled.
“What? I like chocolate milk,” Natalie shrugged. “Besides, I’m not one to drink so early in the morning.”
She then gave Theresa a pointed glare as she added, “Like you.”
Theresa then smirked with an eye roll.
A couple of minutes later T returned with the drinks and pushed them over to the women.
Natalie then grabbed the glass of chocolate milk and started gulping it down like a camel.
Theresa picked up her margarita glass and sipped it slowly, giving Natalie a side eye.
It was then that Eric sat down next to Theresa and Theresa turned around to see him.
She jumped in surprise at the sight of him.
“Eric!” she cried. “I didn’t expect to see you here so early.”
“Hey, Theresa,” Eric replied. “Nice to see you too.”
T then served him some black coffee as he sipped on it.
Theresa then glanced down at her margarita awkwardly as she traced on the edge with her finger. She then sucked in her breath as she maintained eye contact with her cousin.
“So… how is everything?”
“As fine as everything can be,” Eric answered with a deep sigh. He then hung his head as he put his face in his hands.
“I had to break up a fight between Serena and Nicole the other day. They’ve really been having some serious problems with each other. Nicole even broke into Serena’s room at one point and Serena could have easily filed charges but decided not to.”
“Wow, that’s rough,” Theresa remarked in astonishment. “You know, I think I do remember Serena from the other day at the hospital when I was freaking out and also when she was trash-talking Anne. I can definitely see why Nicole wouldn’t like her.”
Eric then turned to look at Natalie. “Hey there. I’m guessing you’re a friend of Theresa’s.”
“Yeah,” Natalie nodded with a grin as she lent out a tentative hand. “My name’s Natalie Callaway. I’m from Atlantic City, New Jersey. I’m one of the teachers at St. Luke’s. I’ve been here for a little over a month now.”
“Cool. You know, I used to a priest at St. Luke’s before a scandal forced me to resign. It’s a very long story,” Eric answered as he turned his gaze away slightly.
“Oh,” Natalie replied sadly, hanging her head.
“Don’t beat yourself up over it,” Eric reassured the younger woman. “It’s not your fault. It’s just really hard to talk about, that’s all.”
He then turned to Theresa. “So how’s your week been?”
“It’s been all right,” Theresa sighed as she gazed into her margarita and sipped. “I’ve seen better days though.”
“We’ve all been there, Theresa,” Eric said. “Try to take at least one day at a time and work towards being a better person. Maybe people might start to respond towards you more favorably. It wouldn’t hurt too to start volunteering in some church activities and try to make amends for your past actions.”
“Thanks for the sage advice, Eric,” Theresa replied with a small smile. “I’ll think about it.”
“No problem,” Eric smiled back as he got up from his seat. “It was very nice seeing you two ladies.”
“Bye,” Natalie chimed as Eric walked away from the pair.
Natalie then turned towards Theresa as she took another gulp of her chocolate milk.
“He seems really nice. And you two seem to have a pretty good relationship.”
“Yeah,” Theresa sighed. “I’m very lucky he’s even speaking to me at all. Considering what I did to John. You know, sometimes I wonder why in the world I even did what I did and if it was even worth all of the money in the world. All those millions really wasn’t worth snagging Brady anyway. I see now that he’s such a total loser and I really wasted my time with him. I also ask myself how can I possibly bear to live in a town where everybody pretty much hates me.”
“It’s not too late, Theresa,” Natalie said as she placed a hand on her shoulder. “What you did was clearly wrong, but you still have a chance to make things right. You could start by apologizing to John and Brady.”
“Yeah, even if I wanted to, what if they don’t accept it? I don’t know what else I could do to ever possibly make up for it,” Theresa remarked sadly yet angrily as she chugged more of her margarita. “All I ever can do at this point is make myself stinking drunk and sleep with more men than I can possibly count. God, I’m such a loser. Where did my life go so horribly wrong?”
“Theresa, I think you need to take some responsibility for your life. You need to stop feeling so sorry for yourself all of the time,” Natalie informed her crisply and the younger woman glared at her angrily.
“Who gives you the right to judge? You’re not my mother and I don’t need anybody pushing me around,” she snarled. “I wonder if you even hang around me only because you feel sorry for me.”
“That’s not true!” Natalie shot back fiercely. “Theresa, I am only trying to help. But I don’t hang out with you because I feel sorry for you. I hang out with you because I think you’re an interesting and exciting person to be around. I like your spunk and attitude and I really like how outspoken and blunt you are. I love you and care for you as a friend.”
“And even after you know all about my ugly past you still want to hang around me?” Theresa retorted incredulously.
“Of course, Theresa! Besides, you’re really fun to be around with, when you don’t have a mean streak going on. And I think you’re really beautiful and gorgeous too,” Natalie retorted empathetically. “You rather I not hang around with you?”
“What? No!” Theresa shot back. “Okay, you are a bit of an oddball, but I actually find you amusing. You’re a breath of fresh air compared to most people.” She rolls her eyes as she says this and sips more of her margarita.
“You’re one of the very few people that I’m friends with and I honestly don’t have that many friends. A lot of people just think I’m such a weirdo,” Natalie replied sadly as she rested her chin on her opens palms.
“Hey,” Theresa said as she met her gaze and lifted up her face slightly to make eye contact. “Don’t pay attention to those losers. Who cares what those people think? Besides, I think at least you’re much smarter than most of them anyway.”
“Thanks,” Natalie grinned as the two women exchanged glances.
Natalie then noticed someone sitting at another booth just three tables away and saw that it was none other than Paul Narita!
She gasped as she pointed at the former MLB pitcher. “Theresa! Look! It’s Paul Narita!”
Theresa then spun around to see where Natalie was pointing and her heart nearly stopped at the sight of him.
“Oh my God. What’s he doing here?”
“I don’t know; I guess he just wanted to see the sights,” Natalie shrugged.
She then glanced at her watch and gasped.
“Oh no! I gotta leave right now! Classes start in less than an hour! I got to run!”
She then turned to Theresa. “I’ll see you when I get home, okay? Maybe we can hang out at Victor’s new club Mt. Olympus.”
“Okay,” Theresa nodded as Natalie drank up the last of her chocolate milk and left it there. She then dashed madly out of the club and disappeared.
Theresa then sighed, shaking her head. She then got up and approached Paul’s table.
“Hey.”
Paul then glanced up from a sports magazine with a cup of coffee and mango peach frozen yogurt still untouched. His eyes widened in surprise as Theresa took a seat next to him.
“Hey. It’s Tamantha, right?”
“Theresa,” Theresa answered.
“I’ve heard you having quite a heated exchange with your little brunette friend over there,” Paul replied empathetically. “Are you two close?”
“Yeah. We’ve become nearly inseparable already. She’s a real friendly little lady. A bit chatty and kooky, but very amusing and fascinating nonetheless. Plus she is really intelligent, which makes for stimulating conversations,” Theresa answered sardonically.
“Yeah. She’s got a good head on her shoulders it seems,” Paul said with a smile.
“Are you looking to date her too, because I can tell you right now she’s not interested,” Theresa snapped furiously and Paul drew back in surprise. His face soon darkened and he narrowed his eyes at her, with his voice becoming firmer yet more serious.
“What’s with the attitude all of a sudden?”
“I didn’t appreciate you leading me on as if I’m some sort of stupid, naïve idiot that didn’t have experience in men. I’m not some little plaything you can just use and throw away like yesterday’s trash. I have feelings too, you know!”
Paul then opened his mouth as if to say something and then closed it, pondering for a minute. After a brief tense silence he then spoke up again, his tone more remorseful.
“You’re right. I shouldn’t have led you on and I just want to apologize for that. But I was just going through a rough time, with my baseball career now being over and the love of my life having moved on to someone else. I’m just trying to find a sense of purpose again. Also I’ve been through a series of relationships that just didn’t work out. And when I finally found the love of my life, I didn’t appreciate what I had until it was gone. And now I fear I may never find that kind of love again.”
“I’m sorry about that,” Theresa remarked sympathetically. “I do hope you find whatever you’ve been looking for.”
“Me too,” Paul nodded. “You know, Theresa. You’re a very beautiful and intelligent girl. I think you just need to believe you’re worth something and you need to find a sense of purpose for yourself too. Find a passion you really enjoy. Or some sort of hobby. Whatever works.”
“Well, my favorite past-time is sleeping with a whole bunch of men but I suppose your suggestions can work too,” Theresa remarked sardonically with a laugh.
Paul then also burst out laughing as the two shared a couple of hearty chuckles together.
Paul then exhaled heavily as he gazed at Theresa intently, his elbow pressing against the table and his hand on the magazine.
“I’m really sorry we never got to explore our friendship. Maybe even if we never become anything more than friends, we can still hang out.”
“Yeah. You know, I thought you were pretty flaky, but… maybe I was wrong after all. You’re a very swell guy,” Theresa remarked. “I just wish I could find just one decent guy who can stand me as I am. The closest person I can find for that is Natalie and that woman is such a saint. I don’t know how she puts up with me.”
“Well, what can I say?” Paul shrugged. “You’re lucky to have someone like her. And for the record, you can count me as your friend too.”
“Really?” Theresa gasped in surprise.
“Yeah,” Paul nodded. “In fact, I have an article that is supposed to come out that is supposed to explain a lot about me. Once it hits shelves and you’ll read it, then you’ll understand everything.”
“Um, okay,” Theresa nodded hesitantly, confused about what Paul was alluding to. “I’m sure it’s nothing I’ve seen before. I mean, it’s the 21st century, right?”
Paul then burst out laughing at Theresa’s remark. “Yeah.”
Theresa then glanced over at her watch. “Oh man! I’m 20 minutes late for work. Drat! I got to be at the hospital right about now. I gotta run but maybe we can hang out later?”
“Sure,” Paul smiled.
“Bye,” Theresa chimed as she dashed out of the club hurriedly.
Paul then shrugged as he turned back to his magazine.
