Chapter 7

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Unfortunately, they didn't get there in time. Brady opened up the oven, took out the lasagna, put it on the stove, and the two stared at it.
BRADY: Whoa!
MELANIE: Well, we could try to salvage some of it...I mean, sure the outside is completely black...but...
BRADY: I'm sorry, Mel, but I don't think we'll be able to salvage any of it. It's kinda...burnt.
MELANIE: Well, this stinks! I wanted to cook a really nice dinner for you, but now it's ruined. Every time I try to cook, it always end up badly.
BRADY: Well, I'm sure that we can find a way to make it work.
MELANIE: But you yourself said that it's burnt to a crisp.
BRADY: Yeah, well, we'll think of something.

PARK
MIA: It all started during my freshmen year of high school. I met Chad a few weeks into the year. He was...really cool. The two of us started talking, and soon we were dating. He was a great guy. Really, he was. He was so sweet and nice. We had so much fun together. We were Salem West's couple of the year. It was perfect. Or, at least, that's what I thought. But then the school year ended and things changed. Chad went out of town for the summer. When he came back at the beginning of sophomore year, he had changed. He wasn't the nice, sweet guy I had fallen in love with last year. He was possessive. If anyone even looked at me in what he thought was the wrong way, he punched them out. At first, it was cute. But then it got bad. He started partying a lot. Doing drugs and drinking. He became controlling. he had to know what I did every single moment of the day. And he started yelling at me and being really mean. He would tell me what to do all the time, and if I didn't do everything he said just perfectly, he would get really angry. Finally, he did something that would make me do whatever he told me to. He told me that he worked for a very big, very powerful organization called The Company, and that They were watching me. And if I didn't do everything he said, They would find me and do terrible things to me. I believed him. Like a fool, I believed him! I did everything he told me to do. But nothing I did was ever right with him. He didn't hit me, but he came close to it a few times. He would grab my arm and refuse to let go until I did what he said. I wanted to get out so bad. I wanted to leave him. To run away and never look back. But I didn't, because I was too scared of The Company. But when Chad told me to make love to him, I flat out refused. Well, he didn't like that. He kept threatening me with The Company. So, eventually, I gave in. I didn't want to, but I was so afraid of The Company. I was afraid of Chad himself. After a few days, I started feeling sick. Then I got really hungry. Then I got hot, then cold. One day, while Chad was out partying, I went to see a doctor. I was pregnant with Chad's child. Well, that night, when he came home, I told him the news. He ran. He packed up his things and ran. He left me. I didn't know if I would ever see him again. I did some research after he left. I found out that there was no such thing as The Company. Chad had just made it up after watching an episode of a show called "American Justice". I was hurt, confused, alone, and pregnant. Then I met Nicole...and...well, you know the story from there...
Will had been sitting on the bench next to Mia, listening to the whole story. Mia leaned into Will and cried. Will put his arms around her.
WILL: Ssh. it's okay. It's all right. He's gone. It'll be all right. He'll never hurt you again. I'll never let him get the chance to hurt you ever again.

DiMERA MANSION
ANDRE: Yes, it was rather magnificent, wasn't it?
STEFANO: Very, very good. However, just because that one performance was good does not garuntee success. I trust you remember the plan, André?
ANDRE: Of course I remember the plan, Stefano! What, do you think I'm some sort of simpleton? Do you think I would be so stupid as to forget about a plan we've been discussing for months?! I remember the plan, quite well. It's al set up. I've got Anna right where I want her. Though, I must admit, that was the hard part, getting Anna to believe I was the real Tony. But once I got the real Tony out of the way, it was easy. I look like him, I sound like him. All I really had to do was pretend to be sweet and caring and all that other rubbish.
STEFANO: Good. Just make sure you don't screw it up.
ANDRE: Trust me, Stefano, I won't. In fact, if I were you, I'd be more concerned about your dear son screwing it up.
E.J.: Me?
ANDRE: Yes, Elvis, you. I don't know if this has come to your attention, Stefano, but your youngest son has been known to slip up several times in the past. Even moreso than myself. Especially when it concerns the love of his life, Samantha Brady. STEFANO: Well, there will be no mistakes this time...
He turned from André to E.J.
STEFANO: From either of you. Is that clear?
ANDRE & E.J.: Yes, Stefano.
STEFANO: Good.
ANDRE: Now, I must be going. I'm sure Anna will be wondering where Tony...I mean I am.
André turned and headed for the door.
ANDRE: Wonderful to see you both again!
With that, he walked out.

Chapter 8

LUCAS' APARTMENT
KATE: A baby?! Mia, that girl that my grandson is dating, has a baby?!
LUCAS: Yes, however...
KATE: I knew it! I knew it was a mistake! I told you that Will getting involved with her would end in something like this!
LUCAS: Mom, you're doing it again!
KATE: Doing what? Trying to save my grandson from making the biggest mistake in his entire life? Yes, I am.
LUCAS: No, you're plotting of ways to get between Will and Mia because you don't think any girl is good enough for your children or grandchildren.
KATE: Well, maybe they don't. When you and Austin make such bad choices as Sami and Carrie, and now you've spread it to Will who is dating a skank like Mia...
LUCAS: Mom, you haven't heard the full story. Yes, Mia did get pregnant. Nobody's denying that. However, she knew she wasn't mature enough or old enough to take care of her baby, so once it was born she gave it to Nicole and E.J.
KATE: Oh, because that suddenly makes everything better, doesn't it?! So, after the skank had her baby she gave it off to that tramp Nicole. I hate to tell you, Lucas, but that probably wasn't much better than if she had just kept the baby.
LUCAS: Mom, every time either Austin or I find a girl that we like, you always have to tell us what a big mistake we're making. What a terrible person the girl we like is. And now you've started to do it with Will, too. Why can't you just be happy for us? Be happy for your grandson?
KATE: I'm sorry, Lucas, but how can I be happy when my children and my grandson make terrible choices in women and decide to throw their whole lives away for them?!
LUCAS: Look, I really don't want to deal with this right now! Just go home! We'll talk later!
KATE: Lucas...!
LUCAS: Just go!
KATE: All right. I'll go, for now. But this is not over. I refuse to stand by and let my grandson ruin his life. I'll be back later.
So, Kate left. Lucas got out his cell phone, started dialing and then started talking into it.
LUCAS: Hey, it's me...Come over to the apartment. I think it's time we told Will about our surprise...Okay, see you then. Bye.

PARK
Speaking of Will, he and Mia were still talking. Mia felt better having finally told Will everything that had happened between her and Chad. But, she was still a little concerned.
MIA: Are you mad at me?
WILL: No, of course not. Why would I be mad at you?
MIA: Because I lied to you. Okay, I didn't lie, but I didn't tell you the whole truth.
WILL: Mia, when you told me about Chad the first time, we were only just getting to know each other. I don't expect people to bear thier soul the first time they meet me. So, no, of course i'm not mad at you. I'm just glad you're okay. From what you've told me about Chad and the little bit that I saw of him tonight, he seems like a pretty bad guy. But, don't worry, he won't ever hurt you again.
MIA: Thank you. You are the sweetest boyfriend in the world. I love you so much.
WILL: I love you, too.
Will and Mia kissed. Then, Will's cell phone started to ring. He picked it up.
WILL: Hello...Hey, dad...What's up...Okay, we'll be right there...Bye.
Will hung up.
WILL: That was my dad, he says he wants to talk to me about something. Wanna come with me?
MIA: Sure.
So, the two of them walked off together back to Lucas' apartment.

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Meanwhile, Henderson ran into the kitchen.
HENDERSON: Master Brady, Miss Layton, please excuse my intrusion, but Mr. Kiriakis and Master Philip just called.
BRADY: What did they say?
HENDERSON: Thier flight to Greece has been cancelled. They want me to go to the airport and bring them back home. If I go the long way, I should be able to give you two another hour here at the most. But, please, try to be as quick as you can with cleaning up.
BRADY: Right. Thank you, Henderson.
HENDERSON: I'm very sorry for the inconvience.
BRADY: It's no trouble at all, Henderson. Thank you.
Henderson ran out to get the car started.
MELANIE: So, what do we do now?
BRADY: Well, we can't stick around too much longer, or else grandfather will find out about us being here. We've got to clean this place up as quick as we can.
So they set to work. They had it done within half-an-hour and were out the door. A little while later, Victor, Philip, and Henderson arrived back home.
VICTOR: What in the name of Gatsby is this?!

OUTSIDE OF THE DiMERA MANSION
André walked out of the manison. His phone rang.
ANDRE: Hello...oh, yes, I was expecting your call...Oh, sounds like a marvellous idea, I'll be right over...goodbye.
After that, André got in the car and the two started on thier way back home. Anna and André were unusualy silent on the ride home that night. When they finally got back home, it was Anna who broke the silence.
ANNA: Who was that on the phone?
ANDRE: Oh, it was just Sefano.
ANNA: Well, forgive me if I'm being nosy, but what did he want that he couldn't have told you five seconds ago when you were in the house?
ANDRE: Oh, he just wanted to make sure I remembered the next part of the plan.
ANNA: Plan? Tony, what plan are you talking about?
André bit his tongue...

So what little tidbit did Bardy & Melanie leave behind?? I wonder what Lucas has to tell Will and did Andre accidentally spill the beans or was that on purpose?

And good point SG about Andre, now you've got me wondering if he slipped on purpose or not too.

Great story Andre (the good Andre) - I can't wait for more! Also, I really like the dialogue for Lucas, I could hear his voice saying all of that Kate.

Ohhh, I like this chapter. I wonder what Lucas's surprise is...I wonder what Brady and Mel left behind after their little romp at the Kiriakis mansion....And ha ha at Andre spilling some of the beans!
