Nice chapter...good interaction that takes us to the goal. One of the things I love about your stories, is that each and every scene goes somewhere, it furthers the story, no wasted words......love it

WEST END APARTMENT, MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT
Out of a deep sleep, Philip suddenly sits up. He exhales, gets out of bed and starts pacing. Chloe groggily wakes up.
Chloe: Philip, what are you doing?
Philip: Nothing. Go back to sleep.
Chloe: What’s going on? Did you get some news or …
Philip: No. No news.
He goes over and sits on the bed facing Chloe.
Philip: I let you down.
Chloe: I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Philip: I was supposed to protect my family. And I didn’t. I dropped my guard and I let you down.
Chloe: Where is this coming from?
Philip: Seriously? Our son is missing. He was taken out of our home and out of our arms and he’s been gone for months. I shouldn’t have let this happen.
Chloe: Well, with that kind of logic, I could say the same thing about myself.
Philip: No. It was my job, not yours.
Chloe: That’s pretty chauvinistic.
Philip: I didn’t mean it that way.
Chloe: Don’t you remember what you did?
Philip: What did I do?
Chloe: The night of the fire. When you came home, I had passed out from the smoke. You carried me outside and ran back to get Wesley. You did everything right Philip. You’re my hero.
Philip: I don’t feel like a hero. Funny, most fathers want to be heroes for their sons.
Chloe: You will be.
Philip: I was thinking about my own father. Damn him.
Chloe: You know, you’re usually the optimistic one, but I have to tell you … ever since I got you back … since you remembered our life together, I just knew that everything was going to be okay. We may not have Wesley back with us yet, but we’re really close. I know we are.
Philip brushes Chloe’s cheek with the back of his hand.
Philip: I know. I know it too.
Chloe puts her arms around her husband.
Chloe: And you did not let me down. You could never let me down.

A never seen before Kpatch Saturday chapter?? Have we been that well behaved, or just that good at begging for more chapters???  So glad that they are about to find the baby! That poor child just cannot grow up thinking the Vivian and Gus are his parents.......the child will definately have a complex after that ordeal! |

I am back and all up to date with the story. So Philip is not retuning any of Mel's emails. I think she will tell Kate and Victor so Philip and Chloe better find their son soon. I am all ready for tomorrows chapter and will not be going anywhere for a while so will be reading Monday's as well. So happy that a long weekend is not going to be that long after all. Thanks Kpatch.

WEST END APARTMENT, MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT
Philip and Chloe are sleeping with their arms around each other. Philip’s phone rings and they both stir. He picks up his phone and looks at the display.
Philip: Oh man.
Chloe: What?
Philip: A text message from my contact. The street address we were given before was correct. But it’s on the other end of town. We need Morningside South, not North.
Chloe: I’ll get dressed.
Philip: We should leave just before sun-up.
SOUTH SIDE APARTMENT, THE NEXT MORNING
Gus: I’m at my wits end. I can’t function with no sleep.
Vivian: The child used to sleep through the night. Perhaps you’re right. Perhaps he does need more activity. More stimulation during the day.
Gus: That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you! I’m tired of being up all night with this ... this ... this ...
Vivian: Watch your language, Gus. This is my grandson you’re talking about.
Gus: Grandson my eye. Madam, I have had it. I’m leaving.
Vivian: No. Gus. Don’t go. I need you. William needs you.
Gus: Find yourself another nanny. I’m out of here.
Gus opens the apartment door and goes outside. He finds himself face to face with Philip and Chloe. He makes a run for it and Philip runs after him.
Chloe walks into the apartment and sees Vivian standing in front of Wesley’s crib.

PS. When Chloe refers to him as Parker on the show, I always think "No, honey. His name is Wesley."

Yay. They found Parker/Wesley/William. I am worried about Gus and what Philip might do to him when he catches him. I am also waiting to see what Chloe says to Vivian. Looking forward to Mondays chapter. Thanks for the special treat today Kpatch.
