"Days" fans have known since April 22 that Chad DiMera is returning to "Days." That's the day that Greg Vaughan posted a photo of the script cover for the September 22 episode. Up until now, fans have been wondering exactly when Chad will be back. And the answer is...September. Chad was last seen in October 2013, when he went to Boston for medical treatment of his gunshot wounds. Chad's return is happening just as EJ's exit nears, so Stefano will still have a son in Salem.

Oh I get it. It will coincide with Melanie's return. Another triangle in the works. Chad, Melanie, Abby. That is, if Chad can stand to look at Abby after he finds out she slept with EJ.

I am always getting ages screwed up...I blame SORAS. But, isn't Melanie a good bit older than Abigail and Chad?

Excited for Chad's return, but I hope they will take the character in a more sinister direction. I truly hope that he is not going to be involved with Abigail again!

Oh, and he WILL find out! I am always getting ages screwed up...I blame SORAS. But, isn't Melanie a good bit older than Abigail and Chad? Melanie and Chad dated before she left town. Not sure about the ages. I'm glad Chad is returning. Hopefully he will liven up the younger group. |

I'm really happy that Melanie and Chad are returning! I think they'll be good for the show, especially with Sami and EJ departing.

Melanie turned 18 in 2009, I believe, so that would make her oh no you are making me do math again. I think 23ish? So I'd say they are all probably relatively the same age range. |

I'm not excited about this at all as I found Chad really boring and Chad and. Melanie as a couple even more boring. However, with everything that has happened between Abby and EJ things could be a little more interesting. I'm in a wait and see mode on this.
I'd kind of like to see a different actor playing Chad because I'd like to see him a bit darker and more mature. He needs to be if he's going to take the reins from EJ.

If they haven't SORAS'd her, Melanie will be (or already is, depending in her date of birth) 23. Coincidentally, that's the same age that I am.
Well, this should be interesting. Both Chad and Melanie are returning. Can't wait for this!!

If Chad and Melanie both return I wonder if they will be returning together? And if they do then I wonder if Chad will be returning in a re-cast capacity?

Jason47 is now reporting that Billy Flynn will be joining the cast of DOOL and that his first episode will air next month. It is rumored that Billy Flynn will be taking over the role of Chad, but no official word has been given at this time. Attachment Deleted |
