Chapter 7





Jennifer came out with JJ and asked if they had any ideas as to what hotel might be available. Sara started slamming dishes around the kitchen . Jack gave a nervous laugh , " Let me go get the yellow pages..excuse me. " Jennifer sat smiling at Dean. " How is your wife Dean?" If only Angela were here right now , he thought. Dean thought Jennifer was nice but at this moment he felt she was most definitely trying to cause trouble for Jack and Sara. " She is out on assignment. " Jennifer nodded. " How is Agent Todd doing ? I know he can't be too happy about Jack being here in New York? " Boy did he wish his wife was here, she would know how to handle this. " Well..I wouldn't know..he is in Texas right now. But I guess he is about as upset as you are. Although he hasn't come over yet trying to .. oh shall we say ..create friction. " Jennifer frowned at him, " Well that's not what I am doing , I just thought I would come with my son since I am going to be here anyway. " Dean nodded , " Ahh..my mistake ." JJ came running into the room , " Come on Dean..I have Arkham City ready to play. " Dean stood up from the table ," Ok little man I am coming . "



Jack was watching Sara slam things around the kitchen. He placed his hand over hers to stop her. " Sara..I am sorry. " Sara looked up at him. " I know you think that she is incapable of any wrong doing , but .." Jack put a finger to her lips, " No..I no longer believe her to be perfect. That was a hard learned lesson , but one I have learned none the less. I do know that she is not mean or scheming. But I will admit that I believe she is trying to throw us off balance. Judge how solid our relationship really is. " Sara nodded , " Agreed.. I don't believe she is being malicious , but this was done for a purpose. So what do we do? I'm sorry Jack but I can't have her sleeping her sleeping in this apartment. " Jack agreed with her, he himself thinking that would be inappropriate. " I have an idea that I think will show her that we are not shaken by her being here and that she is not going to disrupt our life. " Sara raised her eyebrows, " Do tell."

Jack and Sara came into the dining room smiling. " Jack ? You forgot the yellow pages. " Jennifer said. Jack put a pot of coffee and some mugs on the table and Sara placed a tray of cookies down as well. " Well Sara and I thought that you might just stay downstairs in Sara's old apartment. " Jennifer looked at them blankly. " You are keeping your own apartment? " she asked. Sara told her that she was locked into a lease for another year and she and Jack thought it would be nice to have it for visiting friends or family. " Just like tonight." Jack added. Jennifer accepted the offer.



Jennifer went in to kiss JJ goodnight after going over some business with Jack. When she came back inside Dean had left and. Jennifer heard hushed voices behind her, she watched Jack and Sara on the balcony. He with his hip on the rail and she in front of him , her back against him and they were talking. Then he leaned down and kissed her neck. Jennifer's eyes burned with tears. She waited until Sara moved from her spot , first kissing him then coming inside. Jennifer approached the balcony door after Sara went inside. " Hey Jack, I am ready to go downstairs if you don't mind. " Jennifer wanted just a few moments alone him , something to hold onto. Jack and Jennifer had been talking regularly , first about the paper and the children only. They had recently started to talk more like friends and Jack would make jokes and they would laugh. Maybe she was reading more into that then was there but she thought if they could see each other face to face maybe..



Jack told Jennifer that Sara would bring her downstairs as it had been her apartment she could show her where everything was. She quietly said goodnight and went downstairs with Sara. She got the tour of the apartment and Sara told her if she needed anything to just give a call. Sara stopped at the door , feeling the need to say something to her. " Jennifer..I know that this situation is difficult for you. I just think we shouldn't do anything to make it more so. I know you love him, so do I. If you could just see how happy he is. I know this sounds cruel but..you have moved on so many times before in the past when you shouldn't have , why can't you do it now when you should. "





He was waiting in the living room for her. " Aren't you tired yet? " Jack nodded , looking up at her. She was so beautiful he thought. " I was just waiting for you. " He stood up and took her into his arms , kissing her with love and adoration. "Are you happy? With me..with us? " Sara pulled him by his shirt , pulling him down to her , " More than you can possible image. " Jack smile slowly. " I love you Sara. " Then he kissed her again. Taking her by the hand he said , " Let's go to bed."

Jennifer seems to finally realize that Jack isn't coming back to her.

chapter 8



Jennifer was up and ready early. Thinking it was too early to go upstairs she wandered around Sara's apartment. She opened the closed door and found another bedroom. Her heart sinking at the things scattered around the room. This had been his room , she thought . She looked at every photo she could find. While the young man did have some of Sara's features he really was the picture of a young Jack Deveraux. Jennifer felt as though she was either looking at a future photo of JJ or a past photo of Jack. He looked like a happy young man, her heart feeling heavy . She could not even fathom the overwhelming feeling of loss at losing a child. Then she thought of Jack and of how he must have been heartbroken, knowing full well how much he loved being a father. Jennifer then went into Sara's room. She too had many photos on the shelves covering her walls. There she saw photos of her with her son, Dean and Angela , Ben and three men she assumed to be her brothers and father. Then she came to a shelf filled with pictures from college. There he was. Jennifer's breath caught at just how handsome Jack had been in college. She studied his face and saw not one trace of sorrow . His eyes danced and his smile was genuine. He looked like he had not a care in the world. Then she saw a picture Jack and Sara looking into each others eyes , both were smiling. Jennifer felt her heart break as she had seen that look on Jack before first hand. The last picture brought her to tears. Sara was looking at the camera and Jack was draped around her from behind. He was looking down at her with complete adoration and love. The look in his eyes brought Jennifer to a realization she did not want to see before. He had been truly in love with her. He had real and true love before her.



Jack and Sara were with Ben in the kitchen. JJ was getting dressed and was going to go to the bagel store with Dean. "Hey..I thought this afternoon I could make us my world famous milk shakes. " Sara's face lit up, " Oh yea ! You haven't made them in a long time , I want chocolate and Jack will want strawberry , both Jacks will. " Dean went to the freezer,"Well I just brought strawberry over the other night." Jack and Sara looked at each other smiling, thinking of the other nights encounter. Jack said without moving his eyes from hers, " Yes well we need more , it gone. " Dean closed the freezer and came over and sat back down, taking an apple from the bowl on the table. " You two ate all that ice cream in a day?" Jack decided to have a bit of fun , still with eyes only on Sara , " Yes well..Sara and I decided to play human ice cream cones. " Dean almost choked , " Oh man!! TMI dude ! " Sara laughed and went along with Jack both loving to make Dean squirm a bit. Sara knew that Dean had no problem talking about these things with other guys but if she or Angie were in the room , it made him very uncomfortable. " Yes as a matter of fact , it was right there. " Then Jack added. " And don't forget over here." Dean's eyes opened wide , he jumped up and threw out the apple. " Please tell me you did not have sex on this table. You two are sick .." Jack smirked, " What's the matter Dean? You and the old ball and chain aren't adventurous anymore? " Dean laughed , " No , I just think food should come AFTER sex not DURING." As Dean was leaving the kitchen he said, " Don't even think about breakfast in here on this table. " Then under his breath he said, " Couple of damn rabbits that's what you two are. "

Jack put JJ's jacket on him and told him to listen to Dean. "I will " he ran out the door as Dean was in the hallway waiting for the elevator.Jack found Sara setting up the dining room table . " That was terrible , we should not have done that , it will be quite sometime before he will eat in that kitchen again you know." Sara announced . Well perhaps we can keep him from eating in here as well.

Jennifer got off the elevator and after greeting her son, Dean told her that "Floppsy an Moppsy " were setting up for breakfast. She approached the door which JJ had not fully closed. As she entered the house she could hear them laughing . She entered quietly stopping just out of their view. Jack was chasing Sara around the table. Jack had doubled back and caught her pressing her up against the wall. " Say uncle.. " Sara was shaking her head " No way .." Jack started kissing her , silly kisses at first then with increasing passion holding her hands by the wrists , he had her pinned against the wall still. Pushing himself into her , he let out a moan. "Ok, " he said, his voice thick with want " Say I love you Jack" She looked up into those beautiful blues eyes. " You will never ..ever have to force me to say that. I love you Jack." He released her wrists and pulled her to him. They kissed until they had to breath. " I love you Sara. " Jennifer ran back out into the hallway, crying. The image of Jack with another woman like that , she knew would never leave her. She knew now that he was really lost to her, he was IN love with Sara.

The first time I read this,I didn't feel sorry one bit,lol.I felt Jenn got exactly what she deserved for everything she'd done to Jack but had never acknowledged.

chapters 9-10




Angela was pacing her hotel room. her camera man was out filming in the mountains were they believed the POW to be. Finally the door opened and in he came. "I got a shot of him.I couldn't get close enough but I got a shot of his face. They sat down and he played the video. Angela gasped.." There is something about him...No..no. We need to get this enhanced."



They prisoner had seen the camera man taking video of him from a hidden location so he moved in a way as to be seen by him but to keep his captors from looking out there. "Maybe this time they will really see me."



Jack had spent the morning and most of the afternoon doing things with JJ in the penthouse and out in the city. Sara ordered them a pizza and the played board games until it was time for bed. As Jack was bringing his son inside to get ready for bed, the little boy stopped in the hallway " Oh wait a second Daddy. " He turned and ran back inside hugging Sara "thank you for playing a game with me. Good night Sara." When his son was in bed Jack flopped down on the couch next to Sara. Draping his arm around her , " He was asleep before his head hit the pillow..as will I be I am sure. " Sara smiled , " Oh poor baby.." They started kissing , " Well I might be able to stay up a bit longer. "



Jack let Sara sleep late and he got JJ ready to go to the comic / scifi convention with Dean . He of course was dressed as Luke Skywalker. Dean showed up as Darth Vader. " You really need to get over this whole Star wars thing. " Jack whispered to Dean. They promised to be back by two o'clock as Jack had to meet Jennifer to drop JJ off to go back home.Jack crawled back into bed and snuggled next to Sara. "Mmmm" she said and pushed her body back into him. " I love this..being in bed with you." he whispered into her ear. She twisted her body around until she was facing him. " It just so happens....waking up next to you is my favorite part of the day...except for going to sleep in your arms. " Jack kissed the top of her head , " I have something you can do in my arms that doesn't include sleeping. Let me show you what I mean." The phone rang and Jack pulled himself away.." It's the paper" he mouthed. Sara was in the den doing her morning exercise. Jack came in as she was doing her cool down and stretches. " Everything alright at the paper? " Jack felt the desire for her build again . She was wearing skin tight capri yoga pants and a midriff tank top , her hair in a ponytail and her body glistening with sweat. " Huh..oh yea just a few questions ..You look very sexy.." Sara laughed out loud. " Oh yea I am sure." Jack moved quietly behind her as she bent down grabbing her ankles. He caressed her bottom and then he placed his hands on her hips. She stood up and stretched backwards wrapping her arms around his neck as he bent lower and kissed her neck. " Want to help me exercise? " he asked. " Oh I would love to . I can be your personal trainer. " Jack ran his hands up her sides grabbing the edges of her tank and pulling it up over her head, " Great idea. " he responded. He twisted her around and dropped to his knees , trailing his tongue from her neck to her breasts. Sara moaned and gripped his hair. "Ooh Jack. " Jack started to pull down her pants. When he had her stripped of her clothes he ran his hands all over her driving her crazy with want. As Jack was driving her wild he was pulling off his own clothes. He laid her down on the yoga mat. He drove over the edge with his hands and mouth. Then she pushed him down and returned the favor. Just as he thought he could not hold back , she climbed on top of him and he slid inside her. He flipped her over and was on top of her . Both moving fast their moans filling the room. Jack grabbed her and held her close as they both let go , giving themselves to each other.



After a shower they were having lunch when Sara's phone rang. " Hey Angie..Really? ...Oh yea sure i can call him..ok ...there is more isn't there?...what aren't you telling me?...Yes I will..ok see you then..safe home." Jack was looking up from the paper at her ? " What is it? " Sara stared at the phone for a moment. " She said that they got video of the hostage..she is sure he is an American but she wants me to call Ben and see if we can get an FBI specialist to do an enhancement of the video, to get a better view of him. But there is something more..something she isn't telling me. "

Angela and her crew where packing quickly. " They know we saw the guy..we gotta get outta here." Kevin the camera guy announced. David the reporter was throwing his things in a bag. " How the hell did that happen? " Angela silenced both , " Who the hell cares..let's just take the footage and go." As they were picking up their bags the door was kicked in and four men with rifles came bursting in. their faces obscured. They knocked Angela down with a gun butt to the head and began beating the two men. When Angela woke her crew was bound to chairs and were being hit and questioned. They were demanding the footage of their hostage. Both David and Kevin were denying any knowledge of such footage. The leader demanded to know who was in charge. From the floor Angela spoke up " I am..I am their boss." Her crew tried to stop her but she silenced them. " Enough!..I am their boss. " Angela had moved to a position on her knees with her head down..not making eye contact. She knew the culture. Women were second class citizens , property..abused and discarded and the thought that one could be in charge was insulting to them. She knew that by not making eye contact was submissive and bowing to their culture. She had hoped that would win her some points...it did. The leader made note of her body position and lack of eye contact. " I am only trying to respect your culture. " She told him , keeping her voice low and monotone , all while her heart threatened to beat out of her body . How did Sara manage these kinds of situations she wondered. " The footage you seek is in the computer. We had no idea what we even had. Please take the computer, the camera whatever you wish, just don't harm us. " The leader circled her , his men wanted to kill them all but he said no. " I believe the woman. " then speaking to Angela , " You showed me respect and for that I will not kill you , but if you ever come back here again I will kill you and whoever you are with without hesitation. Do you understand? " Angela nodded , " I do..Thank you." After they gathered the computer and camera equipment they left. Angela collapsed on the floor for a moment " Holy S*** ! " she said. Then she untied the men both demanding an answer. " You gave them everything ! If that guy is an American we can never prove it now , they will of course move camp too , if they haven't already. " Angela looked at them both. " Relax . " She placed her foot on the bed lifting her pant leg. She then pulled a flash drive from her sock. " You didn't really think I would just hand it over did you?"



Jack had to go down to the paper for a while after he dropped JJ off at the airport. " Oh Jack..I forgot ..I am going to Albany for a few days. The Governor has consented to give me an interview. I will leave tomorrow. Then I see him Tuesday so I will be home sometime Wednesday. " Jack's heart sank. " Three days? You need to be away for three days? " Sara was not thinking this was personal she assumed it was about the paper footing the bill for the hotel and meals. " Hey..I am saving you a pretty penny by driving there. No train ticket..ok? " Jack shook his head , " No you will take the train." Jack thinking it would be quicker. " I will miss you. I will bring home Chinese for dinner if you like. " Sara walked over to him and threw her arms around him . " I like..and I will miss you more. You and Dean can play bachelor for a few days. Although technically you are a bachelor. " Jack looked at her his eyes wide , " I do not consider myself as such. " Sara smiled widely , " Good answer..Deveraux. "



Jack met Jennifer at the airport. " Hi Mommy ," JJ yelled,"Look what I have..Oatmeal cookies ! Sara and I baked them for the plane ride. " Jennifer frowned , " I thought you didn't like oatmeal cookies? " JJ scrunched his face up. " Well I like Sara's. She doesn't put raisins in them and we put this icing stuff on it that gets hard , it's cool. " Jack cleared his throat when he saw the look on Jennifer's face. " Come here little man. " he said as he lifted his son in his arms, " I will miss you, we will talk this evening ok? , You know I love you very much." JJ hugged and kissed his father , taking Jack's face in his hands. " I know ..I love you too Daddy. Give Dean and Sara hugs for me ok? " Jack said he would and JJ boarded the plane with Maggie. " Well have a safe trip , I will call Jack tonight before he goes to bed ." he said . Jennifer stood frozen , not wanting to leave him. " Yes alright , Jack?..I just want you to know that I miss you . Are you REALLY happy here ? " Jack looked her in the eyes. " Yes I am REALLY happy here. " Jennifer nodded and looked down at the floor. Jack kissed her on the cheek , " Have a safe trip back." He turned and walked away back to his car . Jennifer looked up and watched him get into his car , " Goodbye Jack." she whispered.



Sara knew that Jack was upset about her leaving , for the first time since Robert was there she was sorry to go too. She had the balcony set up for dinner and had put on a tight Chinese styled red dress with slits up the sides. Jack announced his arrival as usual by throwing his keys on the table in the front hallway. " Sara ! I'm home." He stopped in his tracks at the sight of her. " I thought since we were eating Chinese.." she said shyly . " You look wonderful, " Jack said. As they put the food on the table Sara told him Dean would not be coming over tonight. Jack smiled , " Well it seems you thought of everything. " They ate and talked about her travel plans , politics and many other topics. Jack loved talking to her , she was so smart and well versed in many areas and their conversations were always lively. Sara stood in front of him, "Shall we go inside ?" They sat on the floor playing chess in front of the fire drinking brandy. " This was a great idea. " he said , watching her over the rim of his glass. Sara made her move and lifted her glass and took a sip. " Good I am glad you are enjoying it. " Jack picked up the board and moved it over. Taking her wrist he pulled her to him. " I know what I would enjoy more. " Sara chuckled as they kissed. " I thought you would never ask." Within moments they were undressed and stretched out on the floor by the fire. Jack was taking his time, not driven by passion, but more by desire making his own memory to hold him over while she was gone. He slid himself inside of her and held himself there. Feeling every inch of her, he moved slowly at first. Sara knew why, she moved in perfect harmony with him. Her hands roaming his back and anywhere she could reach. The momentum increased , Jack moaning . Those sounds he made drove Sara wild. She answered with her own. Building faster now , the need intense. Jack pulled her tight to him , " Sara..I love you. " She pulled on his hair lifting his head , locking eyes , " I love you so much Jack." They kissed long and hard finally collapsing into each others arms.

Jack had only just arrived home from work . Dean said he would pick up pizza and beer for dinner and they would watch a movie or something, each not wanting to be alone. Jack had just changed out of his suit when there was a knock at the door. " Since when do you knock .." he said opening the door , expecting to find Dean. " Hello Jack. " Jack sighed and smirked " Agent Todd."

Chapters 11-12



" Agent Todd..Come in. " As much as he missed her , Jack was glad that Sara was out of town . " Nice digs Jack." Ben said as he looked around. Jack watched as Ben took in the surroundings. " So how long you think you are going to be here Jack? " Ben said with a small smile. Well that was quick , Jack thought to himself. " Right to the point , huh? I will not be leaving I have moved here ...permanently . " Jack said as he stood arms folded in front of him . Ben said unblinking , "Well I am sure Sara is very pleased with you being her boss AND living in the same building . " Jack smiled to himself , he knew he shouldn't take pleasure in it but..." Not just the same building. Same apartment. Sara and I live here....together. " Ben swallowed hard. " I see..well congratulations Jack..that was quick. " Jack and Ben stood glaring at one , " I thought you and Jennifer were going to live happily ever after? " Ben said. Jack gave him a half smile , " Right scenario ...wrong woman. Sara and I are very happy. " Now it was Ben's turn to smile , " I am sure you are...for now." Jack took a step forward , " What the hell do you mean by that? " The door opened and for a moment Ben thought it might be Sara. " Hey..I got heroes instead..Oh hey Ben ..what are you doing here? " Ben went over to Dean and took a beer and shook his hand. " I was hoping to talk to you and Sara. " Jack informed him that Sara was out of town on assignment. Ben looked at Dean , Taking a deep breath he told him what happened at the hotel. Dean and Jack both flopped down onto the couch. " Is she alright Ben? " The color drained from his face. " Yeah , she is fine. Way I heard it , not only did she manage to keep a copy of the footage hidden but she saved all their lives. " Jack watched Dean visible relax. Then Jack said , " I wouldn't expect anything less." Dean smiled at Jack , " Yeah , me either." Ben told him that Angela would be home early afternoon as she had to be debriefed first. " Tell her to call me , I will get her into the lab for the enhancement and if it is an American we wil get the ball rolling . " Then without looking at Jack , " Tell Sara to call me." Jack who was watching his friend swung his head to Ben. After Ben left Jack and Dean were drinking beers , " I am glad Angela is alright. " Dean looked at Jack , " I guess we forget sometimes how dangerous our jobs can really be. Makes you thankful for every minute you spend with the people you love huh?" Jack swallowed hard, " Sure does. Hey enough of this ...Let's watch Dirty Harry."





Jack laid in bed and listened to her voice , it always sounded that much more sexy when she was sleepy. " Well thank God she is ok. Jack..are you still there? " Jack was deep in his own thoughts , his mind was wandering , trying to picture how she was laying , what she was wearing. It suddenly occurred to him, he never wanted to be without her. He thought of what Ben had said , he would not let him or anything come between them. Sara was his once again and he would do everything he could to see to it that it stayed that way. Like Jo had said , Hold on to happiness with both hands. " Jack ?" her voice filled his head again. " Mmm..you sound incredible sexy. I miss you very much. " Sara laughed , " Uh huh..That's what this guy just told me. " Jack bolted up in his bed , " Where are you?" Sara let a wicked smile spread out across her face in the dark room. " Me?..In bed." Jack frowned , " What guy? " Sara giggled, " Oh brother Jack...It was a joke." Jack slowly laid back down . " Yes ..of course..not a funny one, while I am laying here missing you so. How would you feel if i said I had a lady here with me?" Sara grinned , " If I thought that for one second...I would charter a plane to bring me home right now." Jack sighed , " In that case ..I have two women here with me... I love you , Sara" Now she sighed back , " Now that is something I will never tire of hearing . I love you too Jack."



Jack was on his way into the office when he stopped at a store front. Something caught his eye. In his mind he had the whole evening planned already , even the presentation of that item in the window. This was what he wanted , needed. Jack whistled as he pulled the door open and entered the shop.


Jack was quite pleased with his purchase and set about setting up for the evening. He had forgotten the wine and when he got back to the penthouse he found Dean on the couch. " Don't you have a home? Hey..how did you get in here anyway? " Dean looked around with a sly expression. " Well Sara always hides a key for emergencies that and..she has a tendency to forget hers. " Jack frowned " I thought your wife was back in town? " Dean told him that Angela was over at the FBI offices to get the film enhanced. Jack nodded , " Yes..I'd forgotten. " Then remembering who he was talking to , " You didn't touch the food in the refrigerator did you? That's for tonight when Sara gets home..which by the way I am hoping you will be scarce for. " Dean smiled at him, " Oh sure..sure Jack. I just have to replace that mousse I ate before and then I will be.." Jack's eyes went wide. " What? You ate one of the mousse ?! No...no..no..no" he said as he raced for the kitchen.Jack pulled out the lone dessert and stared at it. Of course it was not the one intended for Sara. Jack stood staring at it. " You know Jack, there was something in that mousse , it got stuck in my throat for a minute. I guess I will know in a day or two what it was huh? " Jack turned and stared at him with a wild look in his eye. " You swallowed it?? What are you a human garbage disposal? " Dean told him he would run over to get another one to replace it. " You can't replace it..that THING you swallowed.. was a ring..a very large..very expensive DIAMOND ring. " Dean's eye opened wide , " For Sara? Were you going to pop the question Jack?" Jack made a strange noise. " Well you still can Jack. Just give me a day or two and I will have that ring back to you." Jack looked at him through squinted eyes. " If you think I am even going to TOUCH that ring after you.." At that moment Dean lost it..he started laughing so hard he was crying . " This is funny to you? " Dean nodded , " Catch" he said as he tossed the ring to Jack , who caught it. Opening his palm there was the 2 karat square diamond ring. Looking up to see Dean smiling Jack lunged for him. " You son of a ..." Dean ran around the table " WHOA ! Take it easy there Jack..no harm ..no foul.." Dean ran through the kitchen door and leaped over the couch. " Dean I am going to kill you !" Jack said as he chased after him over the couch. The door closed just as Dean was getting there , " Hi Sara..bye Sara." and he was gone. Sara looked at the door then at Jack who was breathing heavy . " Do I want to know? " Jack was still looking at the door. " No..remind me to kill him tomorrow will you? " Sara smiled , " Sure thing. " He turned and looked at her and his heart skipped a beat. " Hi Jack ..I'm home" He grabbed her and kissed her until she had to push back gasping for air.



Angela watched as the technician froze the frame and zoomed in on the man's face. Then when it was as close as it could get he cleaned up the distortion. When he was done the young man sat back, " Well that's the best I can do , not too bad if I do say so myself." But Angela didn't hear a word he said. Love, Love, Love this story!!! It is nice to see "fun" Jack more than angsty Jack that we are seeing on-screen. I know he has been through a lot this time, but he has been whiny, angsty Jack the last several times he has been back to please Jennifer.

chapters 13-14


Jack watched Sara as she changed into her "comfy" clothes as she called them. She was buzzing around the room , hands moving around as she told him all about her interview with the governor. She was so passionate..in every aspect of her life that it was contagious. Jack's eyes roamed every inch of her as she stood in front of him in only her underwear. " Are you even listening to me ? " Jack laughed , " Well it's rather hard not to. But I am thoroughly enjoying the view. " Sara tilted her head to the side and squinted , " Hmm..I am sensing that someone was lonely. " she said as she glided over to him. "Well..yes someone was in fact very lonely. " Jack whispered. "Poor baby" Sara said as she ran her fingers through his hair. Jack sighed " Mmm..that feels good." Then without warning he grabbed her and threw her down on the bed. " So..you didn't miss me ? " Sara had her arms around his neck , " Of course I did..very much. But I have to pretend I was too busy to miss you, " then she lowered her voice to a whisper , which always drove Jack wild. " My editor is a slave driver." Jack started kissing her neck feeling his way around her body,kissing her with increasing passion , " I understand , I had heard what a hard nose he is. " Sara giggled , " Well I don't know about his nose..." All thoughts of conversation were gone. He removed her underwear and Sara pulled his clothes off , " I need you Sara. "



Sara wanted to take a shower and then have something to eat. Jack went into the bathroom and started her shower. he told her he would heat up dinner while she was in the shower. He knew her showering routine. Hair first , then she would wash her body. Jack stood waiting outside the bathroom , heart racing. " Jack ! ...Jack ! " he smiled and waited a minute or two. " Yes ? " he asked innocently. " Can you grab me a washcloth please?" He took a deep breath , " Sure .." He stuck his hand in the shower and handed her the folded washcloth. He waited then he heard her gasp. Sara opened the washcloth to find a diamond ring pinned to it. Sara stepped out of the shower , her eyes never leaving the ring. Finally as she reached the bedroom , dripping water everywhere , she looked up to him , ring in hand . Jack was sitting on the bed , he stood up and walked over to her. Dropping to his knees , he took her hand in his. " Sara Jamison....not only are you the only woman I love ,the only woman I need and they only one I want..you are my best friend. I treasure every moment we spend together and I never want to be without you. You give me confidence and a feeling of self worth. I want to make this..us permanent . Sara, will you marry me? " Sara could not breathe , " Jack..you don't have to do this..I have never been happier in my life then I am when I am with you. Jack you are already my partner in every way. You really think you are ready to get married again? Not to mention Abigail isn't even use to us as a couple yet." He looked up into her eyes and she melted. " We don't have to tell anyone else. It could be our secret for a little while if wish. All I want is for you to say that you want to spend the rest of your life with me. " Sara sighed, handed him the ring. He took it and looked up to her, his heart in his eyes . Sara stuck her hand out to him , and nodded, He slipped the ring on her finger and with tears streaming down her face , " You just made my dreams come true. You are my hearts desire and I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond that. Yes..of course I will marry you. "



Dean and Angela stood looking at the face of the prisoner. " I don't know Babe..It sure looks like him." Angela nodded , " It's the eyes .." Ben came in carrying a second photo. He handed it to them " It's him..I had an aged enhanced photo done. I have no doubt in my mind. I don't know how this is possible but ..That is Robbie."
