Hope asks Nicole to stop by the station and go over her statement about Chyka. The department is giving up the search -- he got away.
Nicole says it is a shame. The people who took away Eric's choice will not pay but Eric has made peace with it.
Nicole and Jen meet for coffee. Jen mentions that Daniel told her that Eric and Nicole are talking about marriage. Nicole tells her that she does not feel worthy and it happened by default. Jen thinks that Nicole she did all she could to find the truth -- even putting Eric's happiness above her own.
Liam lurks in the pub watching them.
Later Nicole is stuffing the shredded documents into a barrel and is searching for matches. Liam comes up behind her and asks is she is OK.

I can't believe someone as scheming as Nicole didn't have a match or lighter handy to destroy the evidence. She's definitely slipping.

Nicole keeps telling lie after lie. She seems to be under the impression that if the evidence is gone that Eric will be hers for ever.

I thought Nicole looked so beautiful today but I agree that she is slipping. Hauling a large bag of shredded paper into the park with the intention of burning it in a garbage can? That surely wouldn't call attention to herself would it?
Why was Liam following her?
