EJ tells Gabi to follow her heart. He advises her to be cautious about trusting that Nick has changed. EJ tells her that several times in the past he thought he'd changed. He hadn't changed and Sami was wrong to trust him. EJ says he and Sami were lucky to have lived through those bad times.
Nick is outside the apartment listening.
Nick and Sheryl are looking over some packaging ideas for Nick's products. Jordan stops to say hi. Nick leaves them alone. Jordan wonders why Sheryl is with Nick. Sheryl says they work together.
Later Lucas tells Sheryl that she shouldn't be consulting with Nick about marketing. He says Nick is a chemist not a marketing expert.

Rafe also warned Gabi about Nick. Gabi told Rafe to leave if he can't be open to her caring about Nick. Then she was surprised when he actually left. LOL.
I thought Lucas was a little hard on Sheryl -- well, until he stroked her hand. She seemed to like that.
EJ may have found the rosetta stone. He was talking to Gabi so kindly and with understanding. She really listened and seemed to respond well to that discussion, way better than the more heated conversation she had with her brother earlier.

EJ talked to her respectfully. He didn't yell at her and tell her what to do.

Ironically, if EJ gave Gabi the same treatment he gave Abby she would probably drop Nick in a heartbeat since she really just seems to want a man to make her feel special.
He definitely has a way with the ladies. He knows she needs to have her ego stroked a bit and he's kind of using Nick's own methods against him.
I liked it that Lucas was so stern with Cheryl about Nick. He wanted to make it clear to her and I think he did.

EJ was wise to approach Gabi in a different way than the others. Sami, Kate, Will, Sonny and Rafe were more consumed with attacking Nick, while EJ focused more on his own life/relationship experiences and how they related to Gabi's situation with Nick.

EJ was talking to her like a concerned friend.
